    Breath deeply. Relax, shoulders back, in through the nose out the mouth. Become aware of the length of each in- and exhale. Try counting how long it takes you to draw in a breath. On exhale, work towards doubling the time. In 1...2...3...4...out 1..2..3..4...5...6...7...8
    Release stress and pain from any and all areas with exhale; fill lungs from bottom up to top with nourishing oxygen. Exhale and feel body realign. Peace.

    The word “lobe” is so perfect

  • @sapereaude120
    @sapereaude120 14 років тому +1

    @bra13vo Most people have three in the right and two in the left because the heart is on the left side and takes up space. But some people have only one lobe in a lung while others have five. Also, in conditions like dextrocardia, where the heart points to the right instead of the left, there may be two lobes in the right lung and three in the left. There's a lot of variation.

    The lungs are the primary organs of the respiratory system in humans and many other animals, including a few fish and some snails.
    In mammals and most other vertebrates, two lungs are located near the backbone on either side of the heart.
    Their function in the respiratory system is to extract oxygen from the atmosphere and transfer it into the bloodstream, and to release carbon dioxide from the bloodstream into the atmosphere, in a process of gas exchange.
    Respiration is driven by different muscular systems in different species.
    Mammals, reptiles and birds use their different muscles to support and foster breathing.
    In early tetrapods, air was driven into the lungs by the pharyngeal muscles via buccal pumping, a mechanism still seen in amphibians.
    In humans, the main muscle of respiration that drives breathing is the diaphragm.
    The lungs also provide airflow that makes vocal sounds (including human speech) possible.

    1:18 diafragm is actually a skeletal muscle not smooth. I just googled it

      That’s not true

    • @contona4492
      @contona4492 5 років тому

      @@Typaos can you explain why ?

    • @Typaos
      @Typaos 5 років тому +2

      Smooth relates to it having a smooth feel physical structure, however, it is a smooth skeletal muscle which must be thin so it can perform its action with minimal energy consumption. So it is basically a smooth skeletal muscle, not a skeletal muscle

    • @contona4492
      @contona4492 5 років тому +1

      @@Typaos ok , but it's technically a skeletal muscle because it's voluntary.
      I just thought what she said in the video was a little misleading, I mean she literally said diafragm is a smooth muscle which is quite different from skeletal muscle in many ways by definition. I just wanted to point that out... however i'm no expert
