I discovered your wonderful tutorials about three years ago when covid isolation started. My young grandson was diagnosed with cancer at the same time. I used your tutorials as a way of working through the trauma we were facing. For nearly 3 years, I've watched you and painted along with you while he received his chemo. He has made it through with lots of prayers & medical care. Thank you for faithfully putting out your tutorials. They were an inspiration for me to paint & often laugh at your comments & costumes. I love the "good morning, wherever you are" opening. I've been in a tough place these three years, but am so thankful for your cheerfulness & creativity alongside me as I walked into a better place.

I've been having ago at watercolour on and off over a few years now and since I left my job and have a little more time on my hands, had been typing in on UA-cam watercolour for beginners. I came across your tutorials and have been having a little go and watching your techniques. I thoroughly enjoy your tutorials as it's like being back at school and having a real great teacher who shows you how it's done.
I so enjoy your tutorials... I don't watch them in order 🤷♀️ but, I go away feeling like I could accomplish anything! You're always so kind and I love your sense of humor! Thank you!

Just great Paul!......My Grandad was a sign writer in London and as a young boy (after he had moved to the West country) I used to watch him paint signs and I was amazed!.....He used to paint pictures in oils as well.........Seasons Greetings!

I did a search for "shadows" in watercolor buildings. Oh my goodness! I am so glad I found your site. I have saved it to my bookmarks. I do have to say that watching you paint shows me just how far I have to go! I have issues with precision, and of course putting shadows in correctly! I mostly paint line and wash buildings, and while I am happy with my work, they do not have the fluid look of a loose watercolor. Thank you so very much for sharing your immense talent and time!

So glad that you are not hung up on using ONLY watercolor! My objective is to make a nice painting and if it takes a bit of gouache or road tar or whatever to do that, then so be it!! And being in Colorado, I can tell you that you don’t actually NEED snow (we get a bit much) to have a merry Christmas! I hope yours is stellar! Beautiful!

Be still my heart..... Not only another Wonderful Wednesday, but a Whopper of a Wonderful Wednesday! Santa Paul has just delivered one of the very few, but most desired gifts on this little old granny's Christmas wish list. I have been hoping and hoping that you might consider painting another Victorian storefront. You have no idea how many times I have watched you create the last Clarkie's. It still yet remains as a painting that I would love to have a go at and I hadn't quite mustered up my wonky old arthritic artistic hands at. As with the original Clarkie's, you had me completely mesmerized. I just loved the street corner perspective, I was thrilled with your choice of colors and I adored your lovely musical accompaniment. Simply exquisite. Through your tutorials as well as your incredible book, I have learned so very much in such a short time. A tribute to your talent, not only as an incredibly gifted artist, but a wonderful teacher as well. I just completed one of my Christmas cards this afternoon and I think it is high time that I paint one of my own little shop fronts on the next Christmas card!!
