Correction: There NO sound actuators! The engine enhance sound do Not came from the speakers! It come from a couple of open pipes that are connected with the engine intake!
How come you’re using a seat belt extender? You normally don’t drive with your belt on? So it keeps the warnings from triggering? You’re not a big guy... just wondering. I’m looking at a completely stripped 911t myself trying to decide between that and the new M2C.
Thanks for watching and great eye for detail. . I always wear my seat belt. I used to use a DOT approved seat belt extender occasionally when I wore suits to avoid wrinkles. Forgot to take it off in the earlier videos. In the latest video I dont have it installed. I realized about 2 months ago I dont need it and the 911 isnt crash tested as far as i know. That was reason #1 why i didnt spec a sunroof.
I am certain my door cards are rattling because the speakers do not vibrate once felt is applied to the door panel. It also vibrated a little on full throttle with the radio off. I had the bose in my macan turbo (which pounds way harder the the 911) and the door cards rattled there as well....Although much less than the Carrera T. Another reviewer had commented on this when driving a GTS, another model with reduced sound deadening.
I'm planing to order the T, but this would drive me nuts. It's very disappointing at this price point. So you're saying it has nothing to do with the speakers, but the lack of sound deadening?
It might just be my specific car, most folks havent noticed it online... But im super sensitive to it and made sure i fixed it. Zero driving rattles after some felt. Ive been in 991.1 cabs that rattle like a tin can. This is very minor compared to that
In a couple spots where the door trim meets the window but took it out due to known door panel detachment issues in this area. Rattles actually subsided after a couple thousand miles.
It depends. All 991.2s come standard with PASM, which is 10 mm lower than the 991.1. SPASM is 10 mm lower than a 991.2 with PASM. So you are correct, 20mm lower than a 991.1, but only 10 mm lower than the standard PASM (which all 991.2s have standard.
Great review Pete! You are the first "T" reviewer that has ALL the tech specs spot on! BTW the black brushed aluminum trim looks great, as well as the monochrome Porsche badge up front ;) Also, it is very noticeable how clear the Lightweight Glass rear window looks without the defroster lines. My only suggestion: Get a nice set of winter tires and enjoy it all year long! Congrats from a fellow T owner. Alex_c.

Yes. The symposers. Thanks for clarifying
Wow, I just bought a yellow 911 T from West Broward Porsche in Florida. So far, I am feeling pretty excited about this car.
Just came back from a 90 min drive...
Youre gonna love it! Congrats and racing yellow is a boss color!
P Life thank you very much!
just bought one too, also in yellow.

They are not speakers for engine nose, they just channel noise through tubes.
You are correct! I just put up a picture of the rear because i have no idea where those tubes that pump the engine noise come out from :)
You have the standard audio, not Bose, correct? That’s why the speakers rattle a bit.

Where did you put felt?

I would recommend a Uniden R3 for the new T. Nice car congrats.
Excellent suggestion! That was mod #1. I did the blendmount and hardwire install. No laser jammers though...
"It does the business". Love it !
Best 991.2 spec, other than the GT cars
Contradiction w the T:
Rear seats
20in wheels
Optional sunroof
Dont have the sunroof.
Do have kids though. They love the rear seats.
Nice overview, I enjoyed the video.
Thanks, I will try and keep them coming and do some more cars in the near future!

Aha! Thanks for correcting me, I didn't know that.

Thanks Alex, will definitely try and get a set of alpins and a snow video is happening :)
