I'm glad it was helpful! Happy crocheting! :)
So cute 🐳🐋
Thanks for making this tutorial! The narwhal is so cute! (♡ω♡ )
I used a thicker, blanket yarn, so I had to improvise for the horn and fins to get them to look right, but everything else worked perfectly :>
In case anyone is wondering how improvised:
Horn (I used worsted weight yarn for this, not blanket yarn)-
Make a magic circle and put 16 single crochet in the circle (or chain two and put 16 single crochet in the second loop from the hook). Depending on the size of your narwhal, you may want to put in more or less single crochets to get it sized correctly. Single crochet for one row. Single crochet two together, then single crochet in the next stitch. Repeat until the horn ends at a point and tie off. (If you want to, do the previous step all in the back loops to create a spiral running up the horn.) Use a chopstick to push stuffing through the hole made by the magic circle at the base of the horn. Sew on the horn where the ridges are.
Fins -
Beginning towards the front of your narwhal, join yarn in the ridge for the fins. Chain one. Make one single crochet in that stitch. Make three half-double crochets in the ridge further back. Slip stitch in the same stitch and tie off. Do the same for the other side, making sure to start in the ridge closer to the front and moving towards the back.
Hope that helps someone ( ╹▽╹ )
I have always wanted to do amigarumi. Your instructions and videos are the best I have ever found in terms of explanation. I just started learning recently, and your videos have really helped so much. I just finished an octopus from one of your previous videos. I was amazed. Thank you so much for these videos. ❤
Her: now we're going to do the back stitch.
Me: *watching and realizes I've been doing that the entire time.
Super cute for Christmas presents!
I love susan bates hooks 💜
I use my crochet hook to weave in the ends ;)
I’m lazy to get my yarn needle
