Maganese depletes when ammonia in the body rises (in such kidney disease, etc) In which causes seizures due to bun escalating and causing trauma to the brain and body.

I have a manganese deficiency and no matter how well I ate my hair wouldn't grow and is very thin. I saw countless doctors who was clueless and pretty much said hair is just vanity. I knew they didn't know what they were talking about because I knew your body robs nutrition from you hair to keep more important bodily functions working. A hair test showed I'm very deficient in manganese, magnesium and chromium even though I eat lots of organic meat and vegetables, and have taken 800 mg of magnesium glycinate for years. I only have a drink a couple of times a month and have been glued free for years. I would greatly appreciate any advice on what I could be doing wrong. Btw I don't take any meds.

If you're eating right, and supplementing, but still not getting the benefit of that nutrition, that is an absorbs ion problem.
You may need to take probiotics, quercetin with bromelin, and some digestive enzymes., Prebiotic fiber, etc.
Alternately, I would also recommend Detoxing from heavy metals. I don't know how to detox from other chemicals, but you can look into it.
Toxins occupy the places in your body where the healthy minerals should be.
You have to detox as a lifestyle...can use Cilantro, Parsely, Spirulina/Chlorella to chelate (ke-late)draws out toxins.
Then put them into a Binder such as Activated Charcoal, Zeolite, Bentonite clay, fiber...
Take the minerals and Fulvic trace minerals before you go to bed.
      1 chelate
      2 bind
      3 eat food
      4 take minerals before bed

Magnesium I read (as well as Iron and Calcium) can deplete Manganese so you may need to take higher amounts while taking Magnesium and whatever else you're taking. So perhaps watch your dairy intake and red beef and take a good manganese supplement that will make a dent on your test in a few months.

intake of minerals can be like a scheme over several days,,,, as for example eating zink one day my overload the transporters so they dont take up others as copper and maybee even manganese. For my self i add copper with one meal,, and nothing more... no antioxidants with it as they will reduce it. No idiodine either. Next meal you put in something else... the day after yoy may take the zink. Next day some manganese.... know people with iron deficiency ,, they eat and inject iron and end up deficient,, they have no copper.... coppper is needed to get iron.... and others.... circle those mineralrs over days.

My friend struggled with hair severe drops due to lower hemoglobin. But the hair drops improve as she took vit a retinol from cod liver oil. So perhaps try vit A 25000 iu + D 1000 iu from cod liver oil. The brand I gv her is Bluebonnet. With 3 to 6 mg of copper.
Cud try also spirulina, chlorella, vit B12, vit B1, iodine etc.

How about a video on Boron?
It has no RDA. My multimineral has a trace of 3 ug (microgram) of it.
A PubMed review article talks about optimal 3 mg.
That's a substantial dose of something without any RDA!
And I don't know where, and how much, we get of it from food.
I guess a lot of us doesn't know anything about it!

Many welders get Parkinsons syndrome from long term manganese toxicity. How often is this diagnosed as Parkinsons disease?

You're fortunate, but there's tons of people who can barely afford the cheap crappy pesticide food. I only eat organic food but as a former very broke person who have a lot of broke friends and family I realize most people are just trying not to starve to death.🤔

Glyphosate is an herbicide, not a pesticide (1:30). It may kill the occasional bug, but it is designed to kill plants.

Another cause of Manganese deficiency is Lyme Spirochetes. Manganese is the substance used by those spirochetes to transfer oxygen through their little bodies.

If manganese deficiency is so rare. How do doctors know the disease caused by it?

The real question what causes manganese to build up to manganese overload? Two sick people with some mental health issues and both have elevated manganese on the mineral profile test.

One thing I read recently is that glyphosate can potentially cause simultaneous deficiency of usable manganese, and toxicity of unusable manganese being deposited in parts of the body and brain. I'm not certain how the study was conducted that made the conclusion or if it's accurate, I need to do more digging but it's definitely interesting enough to look into.

Where did you find this info? I am very high in manganese and trying to figure out why and how to lower it. I'm not a welder, the most exposure I have is my smelly car exhaust or if it's in my well water.@thenae8572

just reed the references,,,, the old woman with a very sharp mind is who he refers.... she reserached the roundup connection to celiac gluten problems... its the glyphosate
