I'm a 71 year old retired man and just 4 minutes into this video I stopped it and went out to work my yard and trim an oak tree in 90+ degree Texas weather and now I'm back to finish watching the video two hours later while resting in my air-conditioned house with a fan blowing on me. Thanks for the motivation.
Ism amazed at the work you do! Looking at this neighborhood has been there for decades. Why is it that it has come to the time neighbors don’t take care to each other. whether it is the grandkids or sons & daughters and neighbors that don’t see the need for a clean up of a yard or help getting groceries. I do the same with house cleaning videos. I pause them, get the dishes and clothes in their washers, wipe down counters etc, then go back to the video.
This transformation warmed my heart in so many ways. My mother who is 97 years young has been struggling with keeping her yard maintained . My handicapped younger brother does most of the yard work he can , as i live to far away to help him and her. Many times she has asked for help from her community but was either ripped off on the price or told they would come but never do. So bless you for helping this lady in keeping her property looking like she use to have it , your fixing fences and cleaning those awful vines was beyond . Great vlog Midlife Stockman , your kindness is wonderful , we need more kindness in our lives.
Wanda, you need to move your mom and your handicapped brother CLOSER to you. My son died in July. I had two houses to sell. Now I'm in a senior housing complex about 15 miles from my daughter. I don't have yard work to do and now have my groceries delivered, which is better for BOTH of us. She (your mom) will continue to need help. We don't get younger.

I know as a kid from a small town life I was taught too go out & help all the elderly . The Blizzard of 1976 in Ohio I bundled up & checked in on all of them my friend made sure they had wood for their stoves because the electric was out for over 2 weeks . Momma had a old gas heater she kept that pot of stew going for them 2 weeks folks dropped food off to add too it , then they would take a pot of it back home .
Wow! You really went the extra mile on this transformation! All the little extras like fixing the gate stacking the wood putting the garage door back up! And uncovering all the hidden sidewalks and driveway, fixing the fence! You made a house look like a home again! God Bless you and keep up the outstanding work your doing!

Watching your videos always restores my faith in the human race, but this one really has me BELIEVING! Besides being a kind soul, you are EXCEPTIONAL at what you do. Unlike many other lawn care guys on UA-cam, you: use a rake, shovel, and wheelbarrow to collect and discard even grass clippings (OMG!); cut down the entire dead tree instead of just the branches; use a ladder to remove stuff out of reach; MOVE stuff instead of just mowing around it. Best of all, you "tidy up" just as anyone would do for their own yard. I mean, you fixed and closed the doors on the shed and garage! You repaired the gate and fence! In other words, you did for her what you would have done for yourself! May we follow your lead! 🙏

Man, you are a one man demolition derby! That's really a two-man job! And, beautifully done. You treated it like it was your own house. Since I can't send my own comment, I'm piggybacking on to your comments. I've watched many videos from other 'free makeover' people and I have subscribed to your channel and none of theirs from seeing my 1st show of your channel that I saw 2 weeks ago. It's nice they clean up vacant lots to erase eyesores, but you're the FIRST I've seen to help people that are still living in their home, the neighborhood school bus stop, getting into the community gardens, etc. So you're often helping MORE than one person. That puts you way ABOVE the others. I just wish you had asked the homeowner if you could COMPLETELY remove those 2 stumps along the fence to the right of the house. Their bare short llmbs really stand out and make them an eyesore, at least to me. Well done Sean, so proud of you as I'm sure your family is too. Good grief…on this one you cleared the jungle, chopped down the forest, harvested the hay, chopped & stacked the woodpile, mended the fences, defined the perimeters, saved the power lines,canned the compost, propped up the barn door, & hauled off the trash. I’m not sure if I missed anything.I hope your joints & muscles aren’t aching & the Good Lord gives you the peace & joy in your soul for this over the top good deed.
When I was living with my dad, he was in his 90s, and I was in my 60s. My knees and shoulder needed replaced, and the lawn was so uneven and his mower wasn't working well. We just couldn't keep the yard up and dad had always had a nice yard. One day a fireman, a son of someone living on the hill above us and three of his friends, came by and cleaned up the yard. It was such a blessing!!

I think you clearly misunderstand what people are talking about when they talk about racism in this country. I applaud this man for what he is doing, he proves that humans themselves can see through color barriers and help other humans. When people complain about racism, we are complaining about a history of racism that at times have been systemic. Being that America itself is people, you can't say America is racist, however people have pointed out that systemic racism within different bodies of our government have existed from the very start of this country and should always be weeded out. However, good individuals do not prove that we should stop the work of eradicating racism. And the generalization you said that people complain that America is racist, shows a profound lack of understanding when it comes to the general complaint.

What a great job you did for this home owner. It was a huge undertaking but you continued to work at it and complete the yard, along with fixing little things along the way. Sad that neighbors have not stepped up to help this lady in the past. If each neighbor did a little, it would not get so overgrown. For many years I have helped my elderly neighbor out with her lawn and have done it all out of the goodness of my heart and never received or asked for a payout. God bless you!

I've don't think I've ever seen another yard/lawn transformation channel do those things, and it always leaves me a little sad, because it doesn't seem finished. I think those were Kudzu vines- they're an invasive species and if left unchecked they will cover EVERYTHING.

Man, you are a one man demolition derby! That's really a two-man job! And, beautifully done. You treated it like it was your own house. I am very impressed with your eye to detail and all the little things you didn't really have to do. Like, fix the fence, put on the gate, put the garage door back, get rid of the pile of lumber -- too many other things to mention. All I can say is: BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO and WOW!! I’m an octogenarian who, thankfully, can afford a good gardener, but you are such a fine young man for helping elderly people who cannot. It’s so great to see a young man who is not lazy-who enjoys such hard manual labor, loves nature and beautiful yards, and helping others. What an admirable young man you are, and your wife and children must be so proud of you.

Since I can't send my own comment, I'm piggybacking on to your comments. I've watched many videos from other 'free makeover' people and I have subscribed to your channel and none of theirs from seeing my 1st show of your channel that I saw 2 weeks ago. It's nice they clean up vacant lots to erase eyesores, but you're the FIRST I've seen to help people that are still living in their home, the neighborhood school bus stop, getting into the community gardens, etc. So you're often helping MORE than one person. That puts you way ABOVE the others.
I just wish you had asked the homeowner if you could COMPLETELY remove those 2 stumps along the fence to the right of the house. Their bare short llmbs really stand out and make them an eyesore, at least to me.

When I was living with my dad, he was in his 90s, and I was in my 60s. My knees and shoulder needed replaced, and the lawn was so uneven and his mower wasn't working well. We just couldn't keep the yard up and dad had always had a nice yard. One day a fireman, a son of someone living on the hill above us and three of his friends, came by and cleaned up the yard. It was such a blessing!!

I think you clearly misunderstand what people are talking about when they talk about racism in this country. I applaud this man for what he is doing, he proves that humans themselves can see through color barriers and help other humans. When people complain about racism, we are complaining about a history of racism that at times have been systemic. Being that America itself is people, you can't say America is racist, however people have pointed out that systemic racism within different bodies of our government have existed from the very start of this country and should always be weeded out. However, good individuals do not prove that we should stop the work of eradicating racism. And the generalization you said that people complain that America is racist, shows a profound lack of understanding when it comes to the general complaint.

What a great job you did for this home owner. It was a huge undertaking but you continued to work at it and complete the yard, along with fixing little things along the way.
Sad that neighbors have not stepped up to help this lady in the past. If each neighbor did a little, it would not get so overgrown.
For many years I have helped my elderly neighbor out with her lawn and have done it all out of the goodness of my heart and never received or asked for a payout.

Amazing job. Much respect for going above and beyond by fixing the gate and fence, closing the garage door, moving clutter out of sight, and closing the shed doors. I've don't think I've ever seen another yard/lawn transformation channel do those things, and it always leaves me a little sad, because it doesn't seem finished. Most don't even roll up a garden hose that may be lying in a flowerbed. Your attention to detail makes this AWESOME.
