This can often be very deep because it causes us to go very deep within which most of us run from. But to go deep within with pure honesty is what is needed to grow and move forward. This is what i am practicing today. The life vision is what i will be working on next, because I haven' fully figured that out. This self - forgiveness idea keeps me in a quagmire. Forgiving others, asking for forgiveness is understandable; yet, forgiving myself evades me. I am stuck for now. Must keep working on healing that part.

so.. i have been sexually abused as a child (grandfather) and nearly killed in my twenties by an ex... cause i left him and in his words, women don't leave men. i have a really hard time with this, i'm 30 now. i have a lot of potential and i work hard on myself every day, on my health, physically and mentally, on achieving my goals, everything... i'm doing fine.. yet i keep having this forgiveness thing in my head... i really want to forgive these things that happened to me, cause they hinder me.. they make me fearful of men, they break my heart sometimes all over again, when i feel the pain all of a sudden again, seemingly out of nowhere... i don't know how to forgive these things.. can anyone help? also... does forgiving mean i have to like the people then? does it mean i have to have contact with these people cause that's not an option for me... what is it that i can do to free myself from this... how do i forgive people who hurt me so deeply... who were supposed to protect me, yet instead hurt me physically and emotionally... how does it work to forgive... i want to desperately free myself from this... but i don't know how
