My biggest take away from this woman: "People can't give you what they don't have". That statement held so much deliverance for me. Much love.

Some can’t stand silence and will do anything to fill it up! But she’s right because sometimes when I awake and it’s quiet, I become clear on exactly what I need to do for my life but as the day goes on (with distractions) I don’t do it (right away) so then it becomes a repeating theme for me.😳

Watching her show helped repair my relationship with my dad...getting to know his story. I found out things about him that I never knew. His upbringing, why he did the things he did. It helped me to let go of the hurt and anger I had towards him.

That’s wonderful! I’m happy you were able to receive healing and understanding where your father was and the things he had gone through! It’s Important To Be Compassionate And Show Compassion Even When It’s Hard And We Don’t Understand Until We Can Get An Understanding!

      That is good Tierney...
It would be wise for anyone with issues with a parent put self aside and understand that person. Many ppl totally forget that their parent(s) could have had the same or worse upbringing. Many ppl get angry with their father because of what the angry, bitter mother tells them. Many times even after the father explains his side of the story, the children hold onto the lies their mother told them even after the truth has been revealed. Let go and let God!!! Otherwise, you will be in hell right along with your lying mama! God cannot help you if you have a heart full of hatred that you refuse to get rid of.

We're never as strong, as we are until we have to be. Never Do as much, unless the need we see. Only give our best, when we fail at mediocrity. We Love rather than hate when we admit we're one humanity. We always give more, when compassion moves our heart with unbridled generosity. We Become more of our potential when we are made to see, that clearly our minds can believe in unfathomable possibilities, while seizing every opportunity, here in lies one's destiny. More than our scars, higher than our stars, for in our flaws are what defines our features, they're uniquely ours, as human creatures.
We can run faster than on our slowest day. Reason better, and thinking it through all the way, regardless which direction our emotions may sway. We can find our voice when speechless, our strong words with meekness and our Courage in weakness. Always patience not quickness. Silence for peace than loudness, quietness of fear, not hopeless, for time and effort are equally unbiased. We are more than the stories we're told, we're the one's we write, each page unfold. We are the sum of our Lies and truth, fantasy, fiction, faith, and myths, no matter how uncouth. These are what shape us, our lives lived is the proof. We can be more right than wrong. More just than judge. More godlike than unlike. Reflecting Sunlight in our darkest night.
Providing refuge. Never more alive until we die within and begin again. A Human Ark Divine in our human spark.

The World in Chaos Even You, but
      "Be Still "
      by Gooden and Cohen
I've come a long way still have a longer way to go it's been a Lonely Road but I know I'm not alone sometimes the going has gotten tough and I was down could not get up but when my Sin I had enough Jesus took me by the hand
Be still and know that I am God
With me there's nothing that's too hard
      I'll get you through
      I've left it all behind
      To find the one above
      I had to die inside
To Forgive and learn to love
      I've found that letting go
Turns faith into a rope and so now I'm holding on to the only one who gives me hope.
Be still and know that I am God
With me there's nothing that's too hard

Wow. I lost my son 25 years ago and the thought that Iyanla says she had regarding God thinking she is strong and feeling privileged to support her daughter in passing is spot on. I have never aside myself heard anyone describe coping with the loss of their child in that manner. In fact, some folk look at me as if I am not human because of it. But I tell you, God's grace and mercy is the epitome of the peace that comes over you in that trying time. Thanks for sharing that Iyanla and God Bless you and your Angel! The World in Chaos Even You, but
      "Be Still "
      by Gooden and Cohen
I've come a long way still have a longer way to go it's been a Lonely Road but I know I'm not alone sometimes the going has gotten tough and I was down could not get up but when my Sin I had enough Jesus took me by the hand
Be still and know that I am God
With me there's nothing that's too hard
      I'll get you through
      I've left it all behind
      To find the one above
      I had to die inside
To Forgive and learn to love
      I've found that letting go
Turns faith into a rope and so now I'm holding on to the only one who gives me hope.
Be still and know that I am God
With me there's nothing that's too hard
      I'll get you through it

I love her, and am grateful for the time that she has given to us on this show. It’s a shame that there so many broken people out there , that they can’t recognize a healer when they see one. And they let their own broken behavior leads them to punch down on someone trying to help. But she made a very important point here, though she may be a healer, she must put up healthy boundaries to preserve and protect herself so that she can move forward in helping others in their healing journey as well as herself.
