The X-T100 screen articulation is a fantastic compromise that should work for both photographers who stay behind the camera and vloggers who put themselves in front of the lens. I’m amazed more cameras don’t use this. The only downside is to do low-angle vertical compositions you have to hold the camera the wrong way, but a lot of people do that anyway.
The thing that stood out to me the most was how nice this video looks. Forget the X-T100...the GH5s rocks! Jordan, superb job on the color-grading...you nailed it.

I really have to say, that this is one of the most beautiful cameras of the last years. I consider, to buy one as litte walk around back up for my A7RIII. The graphite looks just awesome. It’s great to see, that there is no X-Trans in this camera. Have to call my dealer to test one. Really great job Fuji, after all you got me with this.
I'm here because my friend wanted to buy this one. Lucky I checked it first. Seriously? 15fps on 4K? Is there other option than 15fps? Like you just said, it's useless. Did you guys tried the video quality on low light? Thanks for this review.
Really excellent review. Thank you. I've been taking pictures most of my life. I've always had a reluctance to tweak pictures very much once they're in the camera. If I want a B&W shot, I decide before I take the picture. For this and many other reasons, I've no interest in RAW. I have found with both Nikons and Fujis that there is enough wriggle room if you do need to rescue something from the shadows or alter the colour balance a bit. No doubt RAW is all kinds of wonderful, but I'm a jpeg shooter out of choice and after half a century taking pictures. So thank you for focusing on Fuji's excellent film simulations instead of treating us like congenital idiots for our workflow choice.
I think Ev (Jordan's wife) said in her video with Dave that the rear dial can be use as secondary shutter button in selfie mode (when flipped the screen?).
Magpie shot was the best. Seems like a fun camera, great for beginners. Was looking forward to hearing about the fancy focus stacking/post focusing feature. What happened!?

Love this boys. As a fuji shooter and Vlogger I was tempted to upgrade my g7xii to this but I’m not sure if the ois will be good enough. The IS in the canon is amazing for walking and talking. I’ve asked fuji to lend me one haha. Thanks guys. 😊👍🏻🏴

"Alberta's pigeon" lol. Good review guys. I agree with your comments that maybe we don't need x-trans anymore. It sucks to have to go outside of Photoshop and Lightroom just to get decent RAW processing with the 24 Mp Fuji x-trans files. Hey, loved your video. Can you please tell which one's better suitable for photography Fujifilm X-T100 or X-A7? I'm confused between two of them. It would be a great help.
Sony should start adapting the hybrid screen system like this xt-100, which in result will eliminate the one of their very few problems vloggers have with them. Having both options of swivel and articulating screen would be awesome!

Do Canadian magpies swoop ? The Australian magpie (also present in New Zealand), has a nasty habit of being aggressive during breeding season. They will swoop down and attack pedestrians and cyclists.
This is a win win win upgrade for my ageing X-M1 and A1 in all aspects incl increase from 16 to 24mp, EVF, "X-Trans" not being a big deal anymore and more articulating screen which is also a touch screen! I'm using my X-M1 and A1 exclusively with manual lenses, if I want fast focus or "AF on" I go to my Canon SLR, which is permanently fixed to back-button focusing. The A1 and M1 for starters have only a screen to work with and that is totally useless in bright light. I would use the Canon in bright light or for video. The only disadvantage of this afaic is that the flash can't be tilted up like it can on the X/A-1 to get bounced flash off the ceiling. I would rather it didn't have a built in flash and was flatter on top for this reason. I am totally in the market for one of these for use with my manual lenses. Great review, thanks. Thumbs up.
One thing that is interesting me is the film modes in Fuji cameras, most of my photos that won the photo contest was the one using in camera presets, doing post is great but the chance of missing the moment is high if you think too much of technical!
Hi, I'm a beginner and will getting my first mirrorless camera..entry level of course. Should I be getting Olympus OM-D M10 Mark III or Fujifilm XT100 ? I'm torn between these two. Thank you.
The problem with film simulation modes, is that they are still worse than shooting raw, even if in the end, you want that film simulation, as with raw, you can still exercise some control. For example what if you wanted to recover certain highlights and shadows? Or bring out a specific level of definition in the clouds?
you could literally set the camera to shoot in JPG to get the simulation & get the Raw file at the same time. so you can edit the raw file in post later on if you want to mess around with the settings

Very contrary to the point of this video, what are some of the features and specs of a camera am I meant to look for post editing? Recommendations for cameras around the price point for the G7, GX85, a6000.
Jordan the quality of video you got in a high contrast situation was amazing. The colours are great and the image doesn’t have the sharpened, video look I tend to get out of my GH5. Any chance you could share your settings?
The reason that it doesn't have acros is that acros simulation depends on features of the latest Xtrans sensor and Fuji pro processor .... neither of which are available in this camera.
I bought the stellar XT20 a month ago. Do I wish I had waited for this camera? No! The XT20 is better-suited for my needs. I don't vlog so I don't need the flippy screen. It's good that Fujifilm has included the rotating screen so now people don't have to jump to Olympus or Panasonic for vlogging, they can purchase this camera. The XT20 is the perfect camera for me. Small, astonishing IQ, fast, and Fuji lenses are the best on the market right now. If you take more stills and want a small form factor, get the XT20, else this is perfect if you do plenty of vlogging (sub £1000). I just use my Pixel 2 XL if i EVER need to vlog.
Man, What Picture Profile did you guys use on the GH5? The Color Looks Incredible Man!!! I mean stunning, So Vibrant and Lovely. What location were you guys shooting? That Area looks so beautiful. The camera just brings that out ever further.
Hi , can you help me explain how to set video on XT 100 for indoor shooting , i always got grainy and noise video footage in skin tones ??? i tried A , S, indoor set, M, and any other combination set on iso but it not works and always grainy n noisy result
Worst thing about Fuji cameras are the crappy little caps they put on their PC sync ports. This may seem petty but those caps are the only reason I would not consider buying a Fuji camera and I am sure I am not alone on this. The cap they have put on the threads for the extra grip is by far the worst one yet though!!

I shot RAW for years. NOw I shoot JPEG, because I almost never need the DR recovery if well exposed, and the files are smaller.
のぢGrey RAW is not just for recovery. It’s the additional artistic enhancement capabilities that make RAW fun and necessary for many.
i try to get everything right in camera. i don’t like editing much. RAW was enormous, and I was forced to edit everything just to get a natural look.

You will find the XT-20 a lot more solid and ruggedized.
Man, What Picture Profile did you guys use on the GH5? The Color Looks Incredible Man!!! I mean stunning, So Vibrant and Lovely. What location were you guys shooting? That Area looks so beautiful. The camera just brings that out ever further.
This was mostly shot on the HLG profile of the GH5S. 709-Like profile for the less contrasty shots.
We filmed in downtown Calgary, Canada.
Thanks so much. Amazing video as always. I've been watching you guys for a while. Keep up the Amazing Work!
Other presenters actually go to the effort of matching their nail polish with the new camera colours. Otherwise, great review. 👍
I have this same camera does it record sound? I haven't been able to figure it out.
