Good tech video! My bro did an adapter by using a crappy distributor. He welded a socket on the distributor axle, so he can run the oil pump to get the oil pressure in the motor by turning that socket. Its a handy adapter, when you have rebuilt the motor and need to get the oil pressure, before the first start.
Don't forget to oil the gear drive on the distributor. Also you can turn the motor over and the distributor will drop down on the oil pump slot. Provided its pointing to number 1 and 8 degrees like you did Before Top Dead center. Petronix has an electronic Stock Look Distributor D104600. The HEI ignition can't fit on the Willys they are too big for the firewall.
Absolutely on the oil; always oil everything. And yes, turning the motor would work, but it’s not much additional effort to turn the pump drive, and verify that everything lands right where you want it. If you turn the motor, and realize you’re still a tooth off, you gotta crank it around two more times.
Great dizzy review.
Thanks Larry! Trying something different. 😊

Hey, thanks my friend! Yeah, I have one of those homemade adapters too. It’s a handy tool. I appreciate you commenting. Hope you’re doing well.
