My mother's uncles; my great-uncles used to own The Latin Casino in Cherry Hill, NJ. We're from Philly. Chicago was going to play there in 1970. I pleaded with my parents to let me go. I promised I would stay with Uncle Al or Uncle Dan but no dice. Chicago was one of the most amazing groups to ever exist. Even at the young age of seven or eight, those horns, Kath's guitar, the bass and the vocals of Bobby Lamb, Terry Kath and Pete Cetera were intoxicating. Growing up and listening to Chicago definitely informed my musical abilities and taste on guitar and bass. Their songs were upbeat and I can fondly recall listening to their debut album on Uncle Frankie's HiFi. It just does not get any better than that. When the horns kicked in, oh my God, what a treat. Sadly, Terry Kath left us WAY to soon. Jimi Hendrix was quoted as saying that Kath was the best guitarist he'd ever heard. That whole band was a masterpiece in technical acumen. They had so many contrasts like the smoky, bluesy voice of Kath, the high tenor of Cetera and the midrange of Lamb. The horns; Ditto. The percussion was a full band effort. I offer I'm a Man. Love, love, love Chicago. For me, one of the most influential groups, ever. Life is much better having to experience Chicago in their Prime.

You have just witnessed what is widely considered one of the greatest live guitar solos of all time. Terry Kath was a genius and taken from us way too soon. I was fortunate to have seen Chicago at Fillmore East about 3 weeks before the Tanglewood show. Terry was on fire that night as well. RIP guitar master. 🎸🔥

I have forgotten how Chicago came together but I do know that they won the lottery when they got Kath in the band. He was the heart and soul of the band.

Don't know if it's actually true or not, but I always heard that Terry Kath's last words were something along the lines of, "Don't worry, honey. It's not loaded."

I really could have watched this without watching you watch this.
If you make a video about how to make a Time Machine that works that will take me 8 minutes back in time so I can avoid this video I would really appreciate it. Even if it causes a temporal time loop.
