Drift external mic.

Too right, they've got you over a barrel. In the mid-80's Sealink ran a superb service in competition. Almost killed the Steam Packet and then after merging, the S.P. took control and undid all their efforts.

Around £330.... it does vary though so keep looking if you're ever wanting to go.

LOL I had 8yrs working for that lot a number of years, working on that very ship (moved on to much better things now thankfully!). I did chuckle when you mentioned the food (I used to bring my own when working lol) - how were your guts afterwards? I must admit I do miss working there when it's the TT, as the ship does 3 sailings during the T period then there's 3 crews, 8hrs each - so that meant: work - watch some racing - quids inn - then sleep...and repeat! Yes they have help from shoreside people to lash the bikes down, it's good how the lads will cram as many bikes on as possible to ensure they all get to go, so long as the max P.O.B isn't breached. Not sure if they had a problem with the new mezzanine deck, I left after the 1st year of use with it. The restricted area was my engine room - keep out of there lol The ferry looked really quiet for TT, not normally any vehicles on the main deck as it's taken up by bikes. Did you go just before the start of TT?

Ich verstehe nicht, warum die meisten Fahrer ihre Motoren überhaupt gestartet haben, obwohl niemand losfahren konnte. Do you really have to warm up your bike before a 300 m drive onto a ferry? Most of the bikes have an electric starter. What´s the issue?

Yes, it's been like that every time I have been on that ferry! Crazy people, some people sit there with their engines on for what seems like aaaaages. Using up their petrol, and painting my lungs black. idiots :)

I can literally feel your joy when you ride off the ferry! As a biker, it's the time when you truly feel 'home'..... But it also make me sad, as I won't be there this year! :-(

That chopper next to you is ridiculous, the steering would have to be so slow slow slow with that head angle.
Top deck was definitely there when I got on the boat . ended up their both ways, they also stopped serving okells on the boat
do they not ratchet ur bike to ground, they always do it to mine on belfast to liverpool and i swear it takes about a week for the rear shock to finally get back to where it was, they broke my side stand once tooo
The ferry was really good I think but you need to go early because you wouldn't get a seat 💺 I had to find out the hard way

Would have loved to have gone to the TT races when I had my bike bit my mates all had cars. Bit too old in the tooth to ride now but still in the blood
