I truly believe that, like a shaman, she was able to manifest energy (in the form of music and poetry) from the collective unconscious. She was a connection to something that is otherwise indescribable.
It is 2024. 4 days ago I sat about 150 feet from Ms. Mitchell at the Hollywood Bowl. No one on the audience moved around or shouted while she sang. All was respect, love, and gratitude, and many standing ovations. It is wonderful to see her standing 54 years ago so bravely in front of this ambivalent crowd.
Beautiful gorgeous songs with the deepest of lyrics from a time already gone. Still we can live it. And believe it. We can love it or leave it. But we surly must appreciate it. Appreciate you Joni Mitchell. Appreciate you. ❤
I grew up with Joni in the Late 60’s and beyond always loved the way she made me feel with her music. She was and is a very special lady in my life. Thankyou Joni!

That was it, no fuss, no muss. Music can be the best way to communicate the hardest things to say, and Joni was a "radio". Turn her on.

I went into Vancouver to see her solo acoustic concert. She brought out James Taylor as a surprise guest. Just a few years ago I found out Joni was trying to protect the environment of this place I lived on a Chinese junk made out of teakwood in the harbor. Because she was my neighbor.
