If you are referring to Chris in Ronks, PA, that’s where I found out about Nicholas Smiths. It was amazing. We went to the Strausburg Train store Sunday but not terribly impressed. Not to worry, I had a pretty quick trip and back in Portland this past Monday. I did pick up the Santa Fe Legacy Gold Bonnet full set and my favorite a AA unit Texas Special command controlled. Got several pieces of rolling stock and a limited commissioned Nicholas Smith Train Store with operating train displays. Only had 52 made. Got the last one. Excellent trip altogether. I also ordered a Santa Fe War Bonnet online this week. Really excited about that too. Ok man, later. Have a good one.

This is a very AWESOME video! I like 1938 pre war 763e semi scale locomotive, the replica pre war UNION PACIFIC locomotive with passenger cars, the NEW YORK CENTRAL post war era f3 locomotive O Gauge, the mpc 611, and the PENNSYLVANIA switcher with post war coal and freight cars! Very UNIQUE trains with AWESOME features and sound effects Chris! I like post war and pre war trains, they're all COOL to me! Thanks for sharing this video, it's really NICE to see all these trains!

I have a small tinplate layout that I run o-gauge and standard gauge Lionel Corporation Tinplate by MTH. I started in tinplate back in 2000 with the MTH tinplate traditions 260E. Still have that engine today. It's amazing to see how far toy/model trains have come technology wise in the past 90 years. It was great seeing all the different eras being run on your layout!

Hey Chris, great video! I like how you mixed it up. It’s nice to see prewar every so often. They have character all their own, especially with the bright colors, and the unique sounds they have because of their all metal construction. I have all era Lionel’s myself, and I enjoy running them all. To me, they all deserve to run, they’re all Lionel to me! Great video. Looking forward to your next one.

These days, seems like if it isn't scale it gets the snub, which vexes and puzzles me to no end. As you say, without the earlier generations of trains, there wouldn't be the super-detailed scale trains of today.
My layout is a temple, but it accepts all kinds on the rails. Prewar, postwar, MPC, Modern, even foreign O gauge from Britain and Europe. All are fascinating and fun in their own way, and all derserve a little love and to do what they were built to do.

I am trying to change my early post war layout to the one that is printed on the back of a box that my lionel tractor trailer came in. Part # 6-12725.... ( the bigger lay out with elevation
Can anyone help me get a full diagram of track lay out? Thanks

Buying all of these things must have been pretty expensive. I admit that I am much more familiar with British rail due to Thomas and the Railway Series. Most American locomotives (save for the ubiquitous Dash 9s) seem very foreign to me, despite being American myself. I find it a bit disappointing that tank engines were so rare in the States (I know it is because the size of the US, but still--.)
Narrow gauge at least has more tank engines. I have HOn30 scale stuff myself, but On30 looks pretty interesting. It is too bad that narrow gauge is still pretty niche in an already niche hobby.
