You were so right about Pretty Girls!!! This was my first Slaughter book, and I was hooked from the beginning. I'm so sad it is over, but I loved every minute. Thanks for the rec. You may have discussed this, but thoughts on Fourth Wing? I'm trying to pick my next book. Do you have a 2nd Slaughter favorite?
Yes pretty girls is my favorite book! It was the first book I read when getting back to reading and it shocked me to my core but in a good way! I have read it 3 times and I’m sure I’ll re read again one day
so excited to watch this! i just read The Last Housewife based on your recommendation for the very first time last week. the entire time i was crying my eyes out... i felt so seen and heard as a woman and a survivor of sexual assault. that book is so beautiful and so so so great. one of my top favorites for sure.
I love Pretty Girls and Luckiest Girl Alive. Razorblade Tears is also a favorite for me. I have not read The Last Housewife or The Last Mrs. Parrish but I want to read The Last Housewife.
Although not thrillers but my two deserted island books are Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman and Noir by Christopher Moore !!! Love your recs ❤
I went to a local used book store and was able to pick up a few of these. Others are on my TBR. Why do I feel like Razorblade Tears is going to make me cry 😢🥺 I'm a 53 year old female and I love the entire fukin vibe of your channel ☺️ I lost my love of reading and it's been reignited. I'm so damn excited 🖤
I just stumbled upon your channel and love it. I guess you can tell by the statement I love the thriller genre, but what is so funny I was thinking to myself are you going to mention the Freida McFadden books, and I was wondering what your take would be on her. You answered my question.😂
I really want to read Pretty Girls but I'm scared to, I'm worried it's going to be too gruesome and triggering for me... I've read the Grant County series by the same author, is it a lot worse/more graphic than the stuff you read in that?
Thank you ! Anyone read “the other mothers” drama /suspense I listened and it was mommy drama, untimely death, But hard to keep characters straight for a bit . Then they gave a main guy a nickname of Jess . Wondering if anyone else lost track . Ie is this the female dr or the female lawyer? Wait which mom is married to this cheating hubby ? I was very lucky everything explained at the end bc I felt like I missed chapters a couple times. 😅
@@kaylawaye I don't know if anyone has discussed this, I was just reading her books and noted it. I'll be paraphrasing because I read the audiobook and I'm not going to go through it to just to find the exact wording and check which character said what line, but in The Ex there's a discussion that goes like this: character 1: I need to tell you something character 2: What is it? character 1: (reveals a secret) character 2: That's it? I was worried you were going to say you were born as a (opposite of character 1's gender) or something.

I just got My throat an open grave by Teri Bovalino I can’t wait to start it
Love to see it! 👏🏽♥️👏🏽♥️
I'm about halfway thru Behind Closed Doors, and Jack wins the Asshole Trophy. I cannot stand him!
Gone Girl is my favourite book of all time. I’m jealous of people who get to read it for the very first time.
Behind closed doors seems like something I could enjoy
It’s the best thriller I’ve ever read!!
Yesssss love big little lies 😭
Can you enjoy The Last Mrs Parrish if you’ve already read The Housemaid?

Me thinking you weren’t going to mention The Last Mrs. Parrish 😂😅😅😅 Amazing series 😭😭😭
You’re the biggest hater of Freida 🤣 and I love that energy tho
You sound very different now
Freida McFadden has also used transphobic jokes in her books as late as 2019 and not apologised, FYI.
Which book? 🫣🫣🫣
Really? I haven't heard anything about this. Could you tell me which books or direct me to any videos/discussion threads on the topic? Thank you.
