There’s something about how you explain the synopsis that makes me want to read the books. I just finished Unmissing and now I am reading Brother. All my thriller tbr books are from all your recommendations!
Saving Noah needed to be written, and it needed to be written with the knowledge, care and compassion that Lucinda Berry is known for. One of my favorite books of all time, that I read at your recommendation!
I looooovvveeedddd The Last Housewife. The writing. The plot. The atmosphere. SO good. Jar of Hearts was willldddddd. I will never forget that scene while she was in prison. Saving Noah is one of my favorite books of all time. I was crying, screaming, and throwing up!!!
Thank you for the recommendation for "Saving Noah" that was the most emotionally palpable and challenging read to date. I another had such conflicting feelings. I could feel and even hold the mother's love for her son and the pain of the son even though the act was heinous. Truly incredible.
I relate so much to your interests and your reviews of books, because I am also a mental health therapist who enjoys the thrillers, horrors, and dark material😂 Typically immediately add your recs to my TBR😂 (and have read three of the books on this list lol)
You nailed it on The Last Housewife. I read a ton of books but that one...disturbed me, angered me, repelled me, shocked me, unglued me - yet I'm still glad I read it.
I’m watching this video so I can know what not to accidentally put on my TBR! I’m so glad I saw the Ashley Winstead book. Maybe I’ll look up triggers. I’m such a chicken. I can barely handle Freida McFadden’s and Riley Sager’s books.
Love your recs. I would just add that people who struggle with S.I. should steer clear of Saving Noah (or approach with caution). I have struggled with S.I. previously and it was a hard read from that aspect.
Presently reading Blindsighted. I picked it up after Sara Linton''s character was part of the 3rd book in the Will Trent series. Someday I'll get thru all the books in those 2 series. She is so good.

unfortunately the author passed before any of his work was published on audio. i believe his estate is working on re-releasing his work for a modern audience!
Oof I can’t watch someone who might even kind of lean sympathetic towards pdf files. YIKES. Thoughts or actions, they’re both gross please don’t try to justify that and invalidate those that have suffered. ✌️
just a reminder- you don’t know what i’ve been through or anything about the work i do. i have empathy for all people, especially those who are afflicted with intrusive thoughts (usually DUE TO ABUSE) that they NEVER act on. it tortures them daily. if you actually listened to what i said, i specifically differentiate between p*d0ph!les & those who suffer from paraphilic thoughts. jesus, some people will always stigmatize mental health.
