    I love maca root powder as an addition to a smoothie - it’s a good replacement for caffeine.
    I like the recommendation about how to eat complex carbs and to not avoid eating sugars.

      Yes! Maca root is an amazing addition - it’s an adaptogen, so (as you probably already know) unlike coffee it doesn’t rob us of cortisol to give us energy. And yes, eating complex carbs and allowing ourself to “eat the cookie” is HUGE for our mental well-being. 💗 What’s your fave sweet snack during this phase?

    Could eating better during the luteal phase improve fertility?

      Great question! Our luteal phase is our infertile phase - like our body’s built in birth control. BUT! If we do suspect pregnancy in this phase, we CAN eat foods that increase progesterone which thicken the lining of the uterus (which is what we want in the beginning stages of pregnancy)!

      Try them on and see how they go. Getting protein is super important for the peri-menopausal journey. Amino acid supplements or doing food combo (ie: rice and lentils) should help you feel more satisfied! 🙌🏽
