Maddie Lymburner hey I’ve gotta say this! First I have that calm-mag too. I make it a little differently (add more, add orange stevia and a lil agave and then after fizz stops, add a good splash of juice to cool it down and add a lil more flavor. I call it magnesium tea 🍵 😁and I also buy the bulk version. You can get it loose (226g) in any and all flavors and then you don’t have to deal with those little waste packets. Plus if you need more it’s no big deal. You can gauge what you need. It’s explained on the bottle. Good for achy workout muscles 💪🏼 too! 2ndly: I’m ultra hungry to for about 4-5 days before my shark takes over..I think it’s cause we need extra reserves for when we lose all the crimson. Mine lasts like 4 days. But only the first two are actually flow days. It used to be 7 and it used to be really awful. I’d much rather 1 yucky day and a couple meh days as opposed to 7! VEGAN 🌱 POWER 💥
My problem is that I overeat literally every day because food is so delicious and I can't stop and honestly most of the time I eat because I'm bored or because it's lunch time and I'm like oh I should eat
D A N I I struggle with what you’re going through as well but I try to distract myself my doing something or just a productive thing. It works sometimes. But I’m still working on it as well.
Same here. My best guess is that I’ve been under-eating recently and my mind is becoming food obsessed in order to get my weight/nutrition back to the levels that it wants
It is a very common thing that I think a lot of people struggle with. I know I do. I agree that keeping yourself busy can help, but I also like to drink a big glass of water or make some tea whenever I think that I am hungry. Sometimes our bodies are just trying to tell us that we are thirsty when we get what feels like a hunger signal. But if I am still feeling hungry after I drink something, then I honor that and eat some good plant-food.
Hey Maddie I found your channel 3 weeks ago and after 1 week I wanted to turn vegan so bad so I told my parents and they didn't allow me at all because I am only 14 and I need"meat protein" to grow and be healthy and milk and all that dairy stuff (that's what they say) I was Soo sad but when I was binge watching your videos I found your video to parents one where you and your boyfriend was talking to the parents and telling them to let their kids be vegan if they want to So I showed them the video and they listend to it and showed them the links in the description box and now I am happily vegan for about 2 weeks now and it is so easy for me because I always liked fruits and green vegetables like I love love love green vegetables and all kinds of vegetables but before I turned vegan they didn't allow me to eat a lot of fruits like mangoes and bananas because they have a ton of carbs and calories and suger they were scared that these food will make me fat but now I can eat as much as I want to of this delicious fruits and vegetables and I just want to thank you guys so much you're the best Love from Egypt💙💙
I’m just getting into intuitive eating after struggling with eating disorders for the past 14+ years and you hit the nail right on the head. It’s so hard when you’re used to restricting/bingeing, but you just have to train your mind to listen to your body and not the impulses. ❤️
Vegan Weight Loss ah I'm glad to hear that. 14+ years is such a long time. Good for you for pulling out of it and doing the best you can for your body ❤️❤️ much love xx
Your intuitive eating seems pretty spot on for around menstruation.. A lot of the vitamins and minerals that help your body with cramps and dealing with the loss of blood are in the foods you crave, such as magnesium, maganese, iron, calcium, potassium.. Kinda cool.
I really liked your comparison of intuitive eating with having to use the bathroom because that made it click on my head. It SHOULD be that easy and instinctual but for a lot of people, eating is more complicated. So thank you for your input and ideas on intuitive eating :)
I have also noticed this and I am trying to get there! I am 100% true to the lifestyle, but I have never had a healthy/normal relationship with food so it takes a lot of work. I am so out of tune with my hunger and fullness signals. I think vegans are so in tune with their bodies because they eat so wholesomely and their body thanks them by communicating ; )
@Sandrine Messier Hi! My mental health kind of derails sometimes and I'm coming out of that now, so not much has changed since this comment unfortunately. But it's so funny you asked this because I've been very sick these past few days and I told my husband yesterday that I'm so ready to stop eating processed vegan junk and go back to being whole food plant based vegans. He agrees, so we'll see how it goes!
I love mangoes too! And luckily I live in Miami with a mango tree and it’s finally mango season- so my family gets like 10 mangoes a day and I’m in heaven 😍😍
Thank you for this! 🙌🏼 I’m recovering from anorexia and after recovering my period I am trying to learn this! For me it’s learning not to restrict because that’s what happened my last relapse and I don’t want to fall backwards again
Ariel Mermaid Major respect- I also get like that after an undiagnosed eating disorder so I honestly understand and respect you so much. Stay strong; peace ✌
Thanks Maddie!! Loved your video & your message to "listen to your body" such wise words!! I didn't do this last year, over-exercised, didn't have rest days from the gym, didn't fuel my body enough or get any relief through massage etc. I ended up breaking! Now have an ongoing issue with my lower back, but I'm working through it and finally getting the message to listen to my temple!!
I love how real you are with your content. Makes living a healthy lifestyle seem so much more accessible and realistic. Keep doing what you're doing girl :)
So much positive attitiude and energy and your words hit me deeply, especially "your body is smarter than you", I had a very bad relationship with food, full of fear and guilt, but for people like you it gets better and better. But you're right it's so hard to tell people with eating disorders "eat when your hungry and listen to your body". It's so natural and simple, but many of as like me got lost and stucked in mindset full of eating absurds. Thanks for making as aware every single time, it's never to much, honestly, I need to remind those simple facts every day not to lose my track.
I love getting a notification to say you've posted a new video!! Definitely going to be trying that dinner bowl this week! Also, I love your attitude towards intuitive eating, it's so crazy that we live in a society that sadly seems to have forgotten how to listen to their bodies and eat intuitively, because you're so right in saying that it should be something we naturally do, like going to the bathroom! Learning every day how to listen to my body again and heal it with a whole foods plant based diet (with occasional cookies and ice-cream of course!)
your videos have really changed my mindset! you always seem to know what to say on guilt after skipping gym or eating too much food. i am so thankful for you making these videos and talking to us on these topics!
I just found your channel because I am on my period and I am now a one year full time Vegetarian! And girl omg I struggle with foods to make so I'm so grateful I found your channel! Subscribed!🤗🌱
I just recently discovered your channel and have been obsessed! You’re such an inspiration to me to not only eat healthier and work out but to just be myself as well! I love all the content you’re putting out and would love a video on intuitive eating!! Keep up the awesomeness! 😁
I love your passion Maddy for just not getting in a huff about accidentally deleting your clips and then just deciding to film a whole new video the next day.
Just thought I would share... your workouts and food videos inspired me to try going vegan for health reasons (both my parents are diabetic and it’s only a matter of time). I’ve been at it for 4 months now and I feel great and have lost 10 lbs. It has helped my relationship with food a lot too. Most of the unhealthy processed foods become nonoptions with a vegan diet. Also, butter and ice cream were my biggest weaknesses but now they’re just not allowed and I notice I don’t have intense cravings for unhealthy stuff anymore. It’s a very freeing lifestyle, to always feel in control of the foods you eat, not them controlling you. When I tell people I’ve gone vegan, they always say “wow, that’s so hard”. But it’s not, I find it much easier. Thank you for changing my life.
You are my new favorite youtuber. I am so obsessed with your content, old and especially new. You send such a good message to women and all people in general. Thank you for being so free and authentic with us. I wish many great things for you and your future.
Great video full of positive food messages! But sorry .... when you were talking about your dinner and the roasted veg all I could do is look at Jack “sitting” on your shoulder. When you mentioned Kale he literally shuddered and looked away. Was absolutely adorable! Then I had to rewind and pay attention to what you were saying. 😂.
Probably someone has already commented about this! But have you heard of seed cycling to balance hormones and decrease period symptoms? I’ve been doing it for three months and I LOVE IT. There’s isn’t really scientific research that’s been done to support it, but it has generations of tradition in women’s health. It’s really simple and you can look up what to do. I have had such mild periods since I started, plus it just feels so good to eat a wider variety of seeds on a regular basis than I usually do.
I struggled with intuitive eating for the longest time until your channel came along and saved my life!! Your videos really speak to me and have helped me so much on my journey to health and happiness!! Also I thought it was funny when you were talking about the sweet potatoes because I used to HATE them but now I LOVE them plain or basically with anything else haha!!
I liked this video a lot. I have had whole food plant based diet 8 moths now and just recently (couple months) I have started to learn intuitive eating. I have had difficulties to find the right amount of food for me (I'm quite active person too) and often I think I make a huge meal and after that I still need to take something more. I loved your video so much because now I was able to see that you will also eat after a meal if you are still hungry (and it's ok to estimate wrongly the amount of food). And periods are definitely the time when ones are hungry all the time...
Hey Maddie! Fellow Canadian here, I just came across your channel from this video since I have been trying to do some research about what foods to eat during my period and this was super helpful thank you ☺️💗
This video helped me so much. Currently in recovery of anorexia and your videos have helped me so much and I love them. Doing much better now. I still struggle but I'm getting there. Thank you so much! ❤💕
I think it's SO important what you're saying about eating HEALTHY FOODS when your body asks for it. And I'd love to point that out. Don't mean to be exaggerated, but it's so important that people understand the difference between real foods and ultra-processed "foods". Unfortunately most of the calories the majority people consume a day comes from the second ones. And that's the problem, because they destroy your body and your natural relationship with food. They act like a drug in your brain, making you want to eat more and more and more unhealthy products till you lose the control over food and over your body. That's why I find your message so necessary. Eating real and healthy food is what makes your body work well. And that's why I wanted to say your message is so necessary ♥
Hi Maddie! I really like the videos where you talk about your period, or intutuive eating or whatever. I think that you should make more videos talking about an especific topic, and give advices and tell your expirences with it! Love you
Loved your thoughts on intuitive eating! The reason I first decided to go vegan was to help me eat intuitively and let go of stress around food. Thank you so much for sharing :)
Your food looks delicious! I always get extra hungry around my period as well. I agree to listen to pur bodies! I have always thought if you are craving a healthy whole plant based food, it is because there is something in there your body needs.
Honestly I can't wait to be this hyped about eating healthy food. I've struggled with binge eating and body dysmorphia for years. I hope that one day I can have a healthy relationship with food
*"your body knows more than your brain"* THAT'S SOOOO TRUEEEEE i especially realise this lately and i'm planning to take some changes so i won't suffer as much as i've done till now
Hey maddie I hope you had a nice day and just wanted to drop by and say I missed watching the videos I haven't been able to lately since I've been working a lot more. I will agree and appreciate the little talk you had with us about listening to our bodies and I've been paying more attention little by little which is getting easier to understand. I will say I understand the difficultly in trying to explain it because I have a hard time explaining it to when people ask hahah but i think you did a good job. I'm feeling like poop today so I'm making some tea and hoping having some type of soup will help :) anyway see you and Kyle on another video soon and have a beautiful and empowering day tomorrow love you guys💜💜💜
You are not alone! I eat much more food during the days leading up to & the first several days of my period. Also - I love plain baked sweet potatoes + almond butter! Sometimes I add sliced banana or apple with cinnamon. Simple is so good!
Hey maddie! Thank you for all your videos you made me fall back in love with exercising consistently so Thank YOU! I love how your exercises make me sweat but I don't feel like I am pushing to hard which is good because everyday I feel motivated to do a little everyday instead of how I use to do it before. For example exercise 1h and then not exercise for a year lol! I also love your recipes you make everything look so tasty and most importantly I love your genuine and gentle energy, you project so much kindness and simplicity! I love you sister! This video is very important and useful thank you for sharing a powerful message of "Always listen to your body!" Specially while bleeding it's no joke like you said our body is going through BIG THINGS!! Our body is going through deep altered conscious states and physically moving and changing so we need to be as kind and loving as we can be! I would like to ask if you could make an exercise video for just before and while menstruation phase so everything but core/abdominal area to let our wombs rest and do their thing. Don't get me wrong I love your exercises specially because you do a lot of core exercises and I am all about the core , strong core, strong everything. But I have started a challenge where I will exercise everyday I am learning to be consistent and disciplined and I want to keep that up, I feel really happy! So while bleeding I still want to move my body even if its slowly and low impact it doesn't matter I just want to nourish my body with beautiful movements everyday he deserves it and he loves it too! :) Sending you lots of love sister! You are amazing and beautiful! xxx
We as a society have forgotten that having a menstruation is a big deal ! The hormones , cramping , bloating and pain is a lot to go through every month! I highly recommend that every women read the red tent it’s a really powerful book that helped me connect with what it means to bleed each month!
Love love love how open and honest you are! I too eat like a horse on my period, I crave a lot of carbs rather than sweet things. Any gluten free suggestions for that? I usually eat some potatoes. I hope to one day be as comfortable with food as you are! Such an inspiring person to look up to :)
I recently have been drinking raspberry leaf tea during the first two days of my period because those days I get bad cramps and used to take Advil to get rid of them. The cramps go away completely if you drink the tea throughout the day. So amazing!
When I wasn't on birth control, I would have unbearable cramps every couple months. It would get to the point where I would feel very nauseous like I was gonna pass out due to the intense pain (I've never been diagnosed with anything either though). I know there's risks associated with being on BC for a long period of time, but it really helps my cramps and now I barely get them. Your cramps might not be as bad as mine were, but I give you a lot of props for not being on BC and being able to deal with them in a natural way! Great tips in this video btw, I'm definitely going to check out the magnesium citrate for when I do have mild cramps :)
im totally gonna try out roasting beans with veggies! i have madde roasted chickpeas before (my addiction), but i am definitely intrigued to try white beans! thanks for the inspiration, much love to you and kyle!!
You are so adorable and amazing 😊. I’m so glad I found you on your other channel while looking for intense arm workout videos because you’ve changed my life 🤩🤗🙏🏾❤️.
I have been on a raw diet for 3 month, but today, on my period, I ate baked sweet potatos. I just love potatos, I couldn't resist them anymore 🤣🤣 I love to watch your vlogs ❤❤❤
It’s amazing how many people don’t take a rest day with their workouts. I used to work at a gym, and there are people that I would see in there 7 days a week for hours at a time.
Hi, Maddie! You could have primrose oil for you period cramps! It’s natural and it helps regulate your hormones. It’s really amazing, there’s no contraindications, can help your skin. Please, give it a try!
Wow you're such a intelligent young woman😍 It's amazing how inspiring you are to 1000000 of people and I really love love love everything you're doing, keep it up❤️
Hey Maddie! Love this because I too become a ravenous beast right before my period. What kind of oats did you use and what all did you mix in them? I'm SO having those oats for breakfast tomorrow! Looks so fresh and yummy!
Omg, your abs are so freaking amazing. I was I wasn't such a picky eater. I've tried some recipes and I've literally gagged at some stuff. It looks so good though 😭 stupid taste buds. I love watching your videos though! I'll def try that stuff for cramps. My period skips around but when I do get it, I usually get sick with the cramps.
Hi! super nice video!:) I have been vegan for a little over three years now. And I'm 16 soon 17, and I got my period when I was 11. And I have never had regular periods, once a month! But that's normal for young people when you start to have your period for like 2-3 years I have read somewhere. When I used to consume animal products, when i got my period like once every 6 month! They where really painful and long and heavy. (Because of the inflamation!) And when I got my period when I became vegan I had no pain! and it only lasted for like 3 days, which was very nice. And now I cant even remember when I had my last period...Perhaps a few month ago. This has never caused me pain or anxiety or anything and that why I have like never thought about this! But my parents where worried so I took a blood test to show like my hormons etc. And the doctor said that everything showed up normal. Like I didn't have pcos or anything else, my sister has pcos so that's why I perhaps thought I also would have problem with my hormons. So now I'm really lost as you might understand! So that's why I'm asking you if you perhaps have any ideas of what the problem is? I eat a very balanced vegan diet, lots of greens, beans, fruits, whole grains, healthy fats, nuts, seeds, avocados, sea salt! Everything you should eat pretty much hehe! I do wourkout, but not that much recently, and I have looked up online like what you can do to make periods come? (I know it sound weird hehe!) And they say to wourkout and sweat and alot of more stuff! And I have tried all of this but nothing has workt...Perhaps nothing is wrong and my period is still irregular because I'm young? Do you think I should get like a more detailed blood tes?:) I would be really happy for all they help I can get! xoxo
It's that time of the month, and thought you guys might enjoy another what i eat on my period video :) Sending you guys lots of love! Happy Sunday xxx
Maddie Lymburner try raspberry leaf tea for the cramps
I drink it quite regularly! Not really sure if it does much haha but I like the taste!
Would you ever consider including the time of day it is when you eat each meal/snack?
Im Kind of certain that "guys" dont ;)
Maddie Lymburner hey I’ve gotta say this! First I have that calm-mag too. I loved how she slouched and ate her breakfast and stilled looked ripped 😩
Mariah -Jade Cause she’s anorexic
Valentin _ she is not anorexic haha she’s fit as fuck
LMAOO
@@valentin_9071 Have you seen how much she eats? She eats almost 2500 calories a day and super healthy, whole foods.
Valentin _ are you stupid?
My problem is that I overeat literally every day because food is so delicious and I can't stop and honestly most of the time I eat because I'm bored or because it's lunch time and I'm like oh I should eat

Miss Twisted so interesting!! 😍 the body works in such amazing ways!
5:02 those abs 😭😍 are my goal!
I love how you talked about intuitive eating. For me, it makes a big difference. Also, drinking water instead of eating out of simple boredom!
Jeanine Shumway 🙌🏼
Can you make a video about how to stick to whole plant foods when you’re constantly surrounded by processed packaged foods?
KateNotKatelynn yes that would be great!!!!!
It's called will power. You have to have that mind set
I really liked your comparison of intuitive eating with having to use the bathroom because that made it click on my head. It SHOULD be that easy and instinctual but for a lot of people, eating is more complicated. So thank you for your input and ideas on intuitive eating :)
Oh thank God this video is a blessing, I have really intense cramps as well, I feel you.
And "your body is smarter than you" is so true.
awe love this! your relationship with food and your body is so beautiful! XXX
Happyandhealthy96 awww thanks Steph! ❤️❤️
Is it weird that vegans who are true to the lifestyle all seem to have really good relationships with their food and body? Am I crazy for seeing this?
I have also noticed this and I am trying to get there! I am 100% true to the lifestyle, but I have never had a healthy/normal relationship with food so it takes a lot of work. Kimberly Britt so. jealous.
I don't eat them a lot because I'm in Belgium and it's bad for the planet to make them come over from warmer climates all the time :/
Those abs when you are eating your bowl of fruit...Good Lord! Amazing!!!!!
look at your abs even when you’re sitting 🤦🏻♂️
loved this video so much! And oh my god so jealous of that mango!!
Young and Vegan oh my goodness! You watch Maddie!? I love your videos!

I eat sweet potato with salt and peanut butter every day. It is seriously comfort food.
Hannah Thrasher that sounds so bomb
Lol YES!
Add cinnamon and banana... Life changing!!!
It's my obsession lol
Me too!! It seems like a lot of people think that potatoes make them fat but that is not the truth!! Potatoes are so delicious and nutrient dense!!!
You’re glowing, girl!!
Just landed in Hawaii and thinking of rewatching all your Hawaii vlogs!! 😭💕
Allison T awww thank you! And ahhhh yes the Hawaii days. I need to make more of those 😂

There’s isn’t really scientific research that’s been done to support it, but it has generations of tradition in women’s health. It’s really simple and you can look up what to do. I have had such mild periods since I started, plus it just feels so good to eat a wider variety of seeds on a regular basis than I usually do.
Love how realistic and genuine you are! Your videos always inspire ❤️
I loved your chat about your experiences with intuitive eating and listening to your body in regards to rest 💕
I’m just really glad I was looking for a vegan cookie recipe 6 months ago, that’s how I found your channel💕
Hi Maddie! I really like the videos where you talk about your period, or intutuive eating or whatever. I think that you should make more videos talking about an especific topic, and give advices and tell your expirences with it! Love you
loving it! one of your absolute best videos in my opion, so real and I can relate so so much to everything you've shared! much love!
I always get excited when you make a video like I instantly watch them!!😂 Your such an inspiring person, thank you!! ❤️
That's so funny, I tend to loose my appetite on my period, so the exact opposite! :)
Nina H funny how bodies react differently!
Totally! I always love watching your videos
Girl same . I dont even have the willingness to drink water
Your abs sitting down!! WTH what do you do for your abs?
Hello Maddie! I normally never comment but just wanted to say how much I love watching your videos, they’re so inspiring! Keep up the good work😊
Honestly I can't wait to be this hyped about eating healthy food. I've struggled with binge eating and body dysmorphia for years. I hope that one day I can have a healthy relationship with food
*"your body knows more than your brain"* THAT'S SOOOO TRUEEEEE
i especially realise this lately and i'm planning to take some changes so i won't suffer as much as i've done till now
Your mindset is so refreshing! I'm so happy I came across your channel
I always save your videos for my breaks between classes 😂 they’re the perfect thing to get me through the day ❤️
You are not alone! I eat much more food during the days leading up to & the first several days of my period. Also - I love plain baked sweet potatoes + almond butter! Sometimes I add sliced banana or apple with cinnamon. Simple is so good!
You have really good vibes :)! I was having a lot of anxiety yesterday and watching your video made me feel better!
Sending you lots of love sister!
Great video and great speech ! You should do another video talking more deeply about that please ! Always enjoying your vlogs ♥️
Laura Ruiz thanks Laura!
Omg when your sitting eating breakfast yo abs girl goals
Love love love how open and honest you are! I too eat like a horse on my period, I crave a lot of carbs rather than sweet things. Any gluten free suggestions for that? I usually eat some potatoes. I hope to one day be as comfortable with food as you are! Such an inspiring person to look up to :)
Just started watching your channel, have to say your ABs are AMAZING!!!! HOLY!!!!
I recently have been drinking raspberry leaf tea during the first two days of my period because those days I get bad cramps and used to take Advil to get rid of them. The cramps go away completely if you drink the tea throughout the day. So amazing!
I also used to hate sweet potatoes and yams soo much but now its literally my favorite food! Sweet potatoes with almond butter are life!!
Very excited...Been waiting for your video💕
i love your personality, Maddie! i am going through a bad relationship with food this year, but what you say always inspires me 🧡🌱
You are so adorable and amazing 😊.
Haven’t seen the video and already loving it! Greetings from Mexico
Aw thank you!!
So happy that my cramps went completely away. It took quit about 2 years after becoming vegan that the pain went away.
I’m always so excited for your videos😂😊😊
Aww that makes me so happy!
It’s amazing how many people don’t take a rest day with their workouts. I used to work at a gym, and there are people that I would see in there 7 days a week for hours at a time.
i really loved the messages u spread in this video!! such a good role model. also all the meals look delishhh x
I enjoy your videos so much! Especially tout vlog and what i eat in a day videos 😁

Love the video! I wish I could be that relaxed about eating...
Do you think I should get like a more detailed blood tes?:) I would be really happy for all they help I can get! xoxo
omg ur kitty from 15:40 to 16:10!!!!😂😂😂 she’s beautiful by the way💖💌
I recently found your videos- really enjoying them! I used to hate sweet potatoes too & now I crave them. Lol. Love your kitty! 💜🐱
