- Here is my Red Sea Screen top review. I built the screen top for my Red Sea Reefer 650 Peninsula Aquarium. The assembly was rather frustrating and the end product is flawed (watch to see what happend).

Hi Puff Daddy, "P" stands for Profile ;) .
You're 1st net screen assembled with a suit!
A..nd yes a metric ruler would have helped.
You can split the screen in two that way you lift only one part
The mesh needs to be loose on the outer side allowing it to slide in as you go it will tense inside as well. (that way it will not be hard to get in and reduce the chance of ripping the mesh)
Loved your review.
I just watched this and realized I already follow you on IG, happy to subscribe and support your content. Keep up the quality production!
Awesome video and tank! Nice works bro🤘
Love your videos
Nice job. It will keep your fish from jumping out. I did a video On the same top for my Red Sea max 650. I like the use of tape to hold it in place. 👍🏻
Nice walk-through on the screen top assembly. I appreciate the time you spent filming the build while you were working.
I think if Red Sea wants to produce a screen top that's really compete, they should have some kind of acrylic part that fits into the aluminum frame to allow for cables to be managed and go from inside to outside of the tank.
Looks nice though. I really dig the clear plastic screen.
Good idea. Hopefully they are watching.
Tank is looking really nice
Moving your baby at 17:30 multiple times was funny :'D
I did my cover a few weeks ago I have the same problem in the corners with the wires ..... it was like a work out putting the mesh on with the roller like you say it does the job
I just finished mine.... it was extremely time consuming cutting it by hand and rolling the spline was hard it kept ripping. Wish it came pre cut to my reefer 350
Gabe I second that!
The diy stuff is great for what it is. But on a tank like yours I’d look into top lids. Aka safe top lids
nice job
Thanks!
I just bent mine with long nose pliers to make a gap so my wires fit perfectly and tie wrap the wires and adhesive back cable holders for the back of the tank and next time wet the spline with soapy water to make it slide in easily
Awesome tips! Soapy water would have saved me so much effort!
Where the gap is from the top, feed a thin zip the through the mesh holes round the brace bar as a little kind of stitch job, and should bring it back up level, if that makes sense :)
*rip not top
“I meshed up” Missed opportunity in the thumbnail there
Did you check out the ClearView Aquarium Lids? custom made and fits perfect. The only thing I didn't like was the price but it's well made and looks great.
No, I did not think of those. Perhaps when it is time for an upgrade!
Should go with the stainless steel mess on amazon for $5!
I hated doing the mesh man!
I used the Red Sea screen top and ended up going with another solution but you gotta admit that this is sleep looking and you don't notice it on the tank at all. Did you ever consider making a feeding cut out?
I should have. I wonder how I would add a hinge to open and close it.
@@PuffDaddyReef - My plan was to make a cutout, then get a corner pack and make a square screen net that sites perfectly in the cutout hole I created.
Can we like tape the cables
I did not try to tape the spline.
lol kid is like "bruh, move the screen...lemme get my toys already!"
He doesn't like it when I take over "his" house.
I’m kinda disappointed in red sea as there aquariums should come with a lid. My innovative marine came with a great and simple lid for a 1/4 of the price. I did the diy and ended up ordering a lid from clearview lids. I just explained more from them. Live and learn.
red sea for the price of your tanks, you should have these covers cut for each tank,
For the price I paid it should come with a preassembled lid
Hey
I say from now on, ONLY ladybug clip!!!🐞 🐞 🐞 🐞 🐞 🐞 🐞 🐞
P-DADDY REEF
Exactly
PL= product length, PW= product Width 🤷🏻♂️

Go big or go home! Can't fit into the camera lol..
You're a leftie?!
Yes!
Why in the hell are you wearing a suit?
Tim Erickson Gotta Reef in style!
Red Sea crap. And for the price they charge. Shit
