    I just put one of these kits together for my rimless cube tank. I also installed the netting with the assembled frame on the floor as well. I used some duct tape to hold the frame in place while I fit the netting. I am very pleased with the end results. The cover sits flush and gives the aquarium a nice look.

    Their DIY kits are borderline sadistic.

    Good to see you used the mitre box 😉🐠Putting the netting in, is my least favourite part😒 Maybe bigger is more easy.😉

    Great video and well done work. I remember it was a pain to build it 😱😂. But it's necessary if you're keeping fairy wrasses or anthias.

    I've seen some pretty crappy attempts at putting these together.You guys did a good job at this.

      Thank you! It helps to have a bit of experience and take your time with it 😊

    can you go over how you did the feeding portal? Did you basically make a smaller feeding hatch frame that makes the removable section that sits on top of a larger frame?

    • @TwoGayReefers
      @TwoGayReefers  2 роки тому

      Yep, it’s a small lid that rests on the frame, with the same clips that rest on the glass

    You guys are champs! If my girlfriend and I were building such a thing for 4 hours, the neighbours would call the police in fear of domestic violence lol

    This is exactly what I was looking for! Do you still use this for your tank, and if not, would you do it again?

      We just did a new one for our Red Sea Reefer 3XL 900. Video is up on our channel. Definitely recommended!

      @@TwoGayReefers Did you need to purchase additional track separately in order to accommodate for the feeding portal?

      It depends on how big you make it. We had leftovers from 2 kits to play with when we made that.

    Nice job lads, my only question is - are you feeding steaks to the fish as it’s a monster feeding panel 😂🤣

    • @TwoGayReefers
      @TwoGayReefers  4 роки тому +1

      Hehehe, yes we do, only the best for our fish! Any smaller it makes it too fiddley, and it means we can do some maintenance without taking the whole cover off 😊

    Is your net cover the 5/16" size? Do you feel that's small enough, or would you go with the 1/8" netting if you could? Did you also have to order extra pieces in order to accommodate for the feeding hatch?

    • @TwoGayReefers
      @TwoGayReefers  2 роки тому

      I don’t know what size netting Red Sea supplies in their kits, maybe check their website. We had made a lid previously, so probably used parts left over from that
