I forget to show Mike's bass part before going to "And the nurse will tell you lies". Basically you just need to play notes "A, B, C, and E" on the 5th or A string (0, 2nd, 3rd, and 7th frets) then back to D minor chord. Apologies for that. Please see my original video. Thanks.
Nice tutorial, thanks. For all people asking: guitar is 3 steps down (C#), but chords are transposed 3 steps up, so in the end is the same tuning of the original.
Thanks for your comment. Basically I picked up everyone part (except Drummer of course) to make this great song is possible to be played by a Classical Guitar. Hope that answers your question. If not, please let me know.
@@PeteGenesis if think I get it, you tried to recreate a "Universal" guitar version, and not each member parts (which is well done). I was looking to Banks' parts that's why I asked this ;)
No. I didn't do anything to the tuning except I have lowered it so that I could reach the high notes when I sing. Unless my phone recording do that automatically. I can check later
Sorry... you mean my guitar is out of tune? If that's what you were asking, that's correct I didn't tune my guitar well before making that tutorial. If you asked me how I tuned my guitar for this song, the answer is the tune is normal. No changes.
Pete: I admire the work you've done here, but detuning the guitar (and also not tuning it...) makes this profoundly confusing for me. Detuning "one step or more" means that my guitar and therefore voice are completely out of tune with yours. I guess I'd better retune my guitar by ear to your guitar - and then tune it back up once I think I have it... Sorry to sound negative :-(.
Hugh, many thanks for your comment and feedback. Fully agreed. Whatever works best for you. I will add your suggestion to my next Tutorial video to tell people to tune their guitar to match my Guitar. Or, if they have a guitar tuner apps they need to basically set each string one note down, e.g., E to D, A to G, etc..
Thanks Peter. That's correct I have lowered the tune one step or more so that I can sing along and reach the high note. I will highlight it in my other Tutorial video. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks. With my classical music background especially with guitar, I am trying to interpret Genesis songs in a simple Classical music which I am sure I don't do justice for the song that's very rich in harmony. But, I am doing my best within my abilities.
I think it's great.if your interested I have an album on UA-cam. I made a couple of years ago.i wrote all the songs and played all instruments. album name.(this simple life.)artist name Murph.

Thank you. That's correct.
Totally in another tunning..!!!
bellissima! i love you 😘
Thank you
Thanks
You're welcome
Thanks for the video, and respect for the work behind !
Just a little question, are you showing Mike's parts ? Or Banks ?

That's correct Math.
Hi, is your guitar tuned differently to concert pitch?
No. I didn't do anything to the tuning except I have lowered it so that I could reach the high notes when I sing. Unless my phone recording do that automatically. I can check later
What is up with the tuning? 😩 my ear’s confused

Great tutorial, but it seems your guitar is tuned to another octave.
Thanks Peter. That's correct I have lowered the tune one step or more so that I can sing along and reach the high note. I will highlight it in my other Tutorial video. Thanks for the feedback.
Thankyou.love your style of playing

I will check your album later. Thanks for sharing.
Too much talk
Thank you for your feedback. I will try to minimize my talk next time.
