    Good luck on getting those bolts back out with all that Red lock tite, also good idea to repack the bearings!

      Thanks for the advise,...however, I have a modified 1/2" impact that will take out ANY bolt locktight or not, Also, the video is for the installation of the lift kit,.....not the bearings being repacked. If you look closely, the cart itself had other issues, now, i didnt address those issues in this video .....because this video is just to demonstrate the install of these types of lift kits, But thank you for your input.

    Instructions say for 07 an newer models you have to drill out the holes for the tie rod and steering linkage to the spindle bracket .. .., but I have an 01 and none of the holes are big enough.. looks like I will b drilling them out

    Will the u-bolts on the rear be long enough if you upgrade to a heavier leeaf spring??

    • @cartsmd6524
      @cartsmd6524  3 роки тому

      Likely, the lift kit you buy will come with replacement "U" bolts being long enough for the job weather you have single leaf springs or heavy duty 3 leaf springs, the kit will include :U: bolts or bolt and plates designed to work either way

      most 6" lift kits when installed with up to 23" tires will still be able to drive under a standard "man-door" height

    Looks great. I have a 48v 96 DS. Will this work? Will it also strengthen the rear enough for a back seat? Also, how much does it cost? Thank you.

      Your typical QUALITY purveyor of fine golf cart (non-chinese) parts will offer you a 6" lift, most 12 or 13" wheels and heavy duty rear leaf springs, parts, labor, transport all for somewhere in the neighborhood of $2200 or so.....Remember, ebay and amazon sell "hopes and dreams" versions of the real stuff for much much cheaper, BUT they are often mis-fitted, not serviceable, and you will never find replacement parts, they target desperate people looking to save a little.... buy from a dealer local to you who knows these carts and the best brands to offer, trust me, it will be cheaper in the long run

    I put in heavy duty leaf springs in my 1995 Club Car Ds. I loosened a bolt on a metal rod thats attached to the rear of the engine and connects to the the underplate now the rod end is higher up and I can't get the rod end down far enough to reconnect. Do you know what this rod is for and if it is necessary? I loosened it so I could get more movement and clearance for install.

    So how exactly are you supposed to adjust the tire rods if you put Loctite on the bolts, to begin with

    • @cartsmd6524
      @cartsmd6524  3 роки тому

      The locktite type products usually form a crystalline matrix as it cures, you may un-screw for adjustment after its dried (its not a weld so just apply a little more force than usual) the crystalline matrix will still be on the threads, it helps to think of locktight not as a glue or weld, its just a "friction aggregate" that keeps bolts/nuts from vibrational movement or backing out, In fact, if you was to order say a suspension bolt from ford or gm, it will come with dried locktite on it already, factories put locktite on bolts/nuts at production so later the bolts/nuts can just be applied and workers dont have to wait for drying time or even the time it would take to apply it, no need, its already there, I hope Ive been helpful, Please remember you can reach CartsMD LLC at 1-833-227-8763

      Mock up the heim joints first do all measurements distance between arms upper and lower. Use the jamb nut and a sharpie for marking, back out 15 threads or so hit with loctite and tighten to your marks. If you ever have a issue with getting a nut bolt or heim joint loose after loctite. Heat it up it will release.

    I was looking at buying one of these for my 95 club car ds. I know this sounds dumb but I've never bought a kit before, when you buy a kit it comes with the parts to raise the front and rear correct?

    • @cartsmd6524
      @cartsmd6524  3 роки тому +1

      generally yes,...they all come with fitments for both rear and front, HOWEVER, we never recommend putting lift kits on 36v systems, yours may be a 36v, if so, not a good idea, although they do sell lift kits for 36v carts, when considering the power of 36v systems then factoring in larger tires adds up to serious strain and leads to more repairs, upgrade to 48v.

    I've watched a lot(ton) of videos on how to install a 6" lift kit on a Club Car DS. I watched this video of yours a few times and have come back for references. I came back today to see again how you installed the rear lift because my rear axle won't drop down like yours so I can have room to install the leaf spring on top of the axle. And now I see why my axle won't drop down... there is no F'n motor in your golf cart that normally would be attached to the axle keeping it from dropping. That was completely misleading. What do I have to do to get the axle to lower down far enough to install the leaf spring?
