People talking shit about LG and SONY, they are both great tv's. LG has a great picture, since it's making Sony OLED Panel, and Sony has a better processing, period. Choose the one you like the most, either one is an insane upgrade from most 4K regular tv's
I've seen a lot of reviewers mention that this TV only has two 4K/120Hz HDMI inputs, which is definitely a downgrade from four, but I think it's worth noting that the other two are still 4K/60Hz and HDR capable. I play a lot of games, but there's not a lot that even support 4K/120Hz right now. Just something I've noticed, if it helps anyone else's research.

You just buy a hdmi switcher that turns one of those hdmi 2.1 ports into as many as you like there’s nothing to it I have a 2 hdmi switch that takes one of those 2.1 hdmi connections on the back of tv and turns it into 2 ports so what ever device you turn on takes over the tv automatically once you switch Xbox on or the PlayStation it’s auto puts onto which one is power on it’s that simple and it’s 2.1 so it’s 8k 60hz or 4k 120 compatible Dolby vision and Dolby atmos and vrr and auto low latency. It’s that simple and it only cost my £30 or 30$ for the Americans

I use a hdmi switcher then it doesn’t matter about 2 hdmi 4k 120hz you can have as many as you like then . Alsos cost is like 20quid for a 4k120 hz switcher

Looked at LG C3 and Sony A80L today. Both 93 inch. Lg is $500 less. I've always had Sony but was really impressed with the picture on LG. Primarily using the tv for streaming movies and watching tv. Have a soundbar. Gaming is not a huge issue so the HDMIs in Sony are fine. Room is medium brightness. For a long-lasting tv that will go the distance, do we stick with Sony or take the plunge on LG?
It's simple, Sony for movies and streaming, LG for gaming. Just gotta pick the right priority for you. I went with Movies and streaming since that's what I do most on it. I game about 6hrs a week vs hours upon hours of sports, movies, streaming
@evaneger1 This TV has an S-Center Speaker input so as long as your Sony receiver has an S-Center Output you would be able to use the TV as a center channel.
@nothingimpossible6565 The LG G3 series is a step above the Sony A80L. It would be more comparable with the A95L. The G3 is going to be much brighter than the A80L.

@113SasukeUchiha Sony OLED TVs in general are extremely good. That being said, the A83K was not released in the US market so it's hard to say which would be the better value since we haven't had a chance to see the 83 in person.
I just bought a 2023 OLED SONY TV + a HT5000 soundbar, SW5 sub and RS5 rears. TV+soundbar combo for the S center function - yes its amazing but the hissing is not fixed in the 2023 lineup - COMEON SONY! soundbar just died the other day - wont turn on - it was 2 weeks old sub is not well calculated and being too light it vibrates and that makes it move - i have to put a weight on it to sit tight rears are sooooo quiet unless you mess with the settings manually but that means to bypass the autocalibration which should give more performance all in all for a 2200 Euros home cinema kit - extremely disappointed. would not recommend. oh almost forgot - soundbar would not connect to mesh wifi for some reason so bye bye apple airplay. VERY bad SONY!
I have a 55 A80K. PS5 and 4K content look unreal on it. Especially anything that supports Dolby Vision streaming wise. SDR content cleans up. A80 tvs are very similar to LG C series tvs but with Sony processing and Google TV.

Mine is so dim, I need more time with it I guess but I feel my A9g was brighter and better pq but it could be my eyes playing tricks on me
@kyleblack1053 Make sure you go into the Power Saving settings and turn them off. That should help with brightness.

Yes it only has 2 but if your getting a Sony soundbar it gives you 1 back so you can plug 2 consoles in at once not 1 like the video mentions

Not true at all. I recently bought the 77 inch model It is very bright in game mode in series X and ps5 and I haven’t noticed any dimming either.

The 83k is a steel it’s the a80l that doesn’t warrant the price increase so I would go for the A83k
