You can modify the larger UCO lantern to use tea light candles by moving the spring and holder and modifying something like a Red Bull can. It will hold (5) of them in a stack and then you .just rotate them as you need a new one.
Awesome knowledge! Thank you for the idea and for watching and commenting. Ive also seen, and am interested in trying to make a oil lantern insert. Be safe and thanks again 👣🐾👣🐾🏕
I just ordered two as blackout prep kit but I want to use one already at home in the evenings for ambiance while I watch amazing UA-cam vids like this one and pretend I'm camping but without the bugs lol.
I got one and bought tealight candles that last 8 hours. I bought for emergency lighting for the home, just in case. Already had several power outages just within the year. I live in California, so it's frequent.
Hi and thanks for your review. It does seem ironic that a product designed in the USA which is now made in China has to be imported from the UK. Fortunately that's home for me so my wait would only be a few days. I believe that it comes with 3 tea light candles but these are slightly bigger in both depth and dia than the dollar store tea lights. You suggest that the shorter candle emit similar light even with the flame being lower inside the body? Wishing you many great nights under the stars from 🇬🇧
i like candle lanterns i think they are cool but i dont understand the hype about these uco lanterns i use a jar lantern with holes in the lid and wire bail on it works fine and if it brakes its so easy to make another for basically free
I agree to a point. The mini is my go to because its small and takes cheep tea lights. You can fit 4-6 inside as well. On my channel you'll find alcohol can stoves cat food can candles. I love a great idea. Thanks for the tip. Hope you'll consider subscribing.
I wouldn't put it in my hammock...however, there is or was a rare UCO oil lamp insert. I've seen it in pics and videos Never could find one. Simon a bloke in the woods yt channel has a diy insert video. Hope that helps
Watched a few reviews of the UCO lantern and this one was by far the most useful. Thank you!
I'll take a compliment🤘
Glad it was helpful

I love both of mine. Don't waste money on the blue citronella candles....they don't work well.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Be safe😉

Good stuff, love that thing!
Thanks for watching
Just bought one of these. Someone suggested using the 8 hour long burn tea light candles.
Dollar store tea lights work great too
