Got destroyed my first attempt at this and failed to notice many triggers. So naturally I’m back for your help 😂 Thank you!
WOW, I've never seen someone play as fast as you...
I've ended up here because I couldn't finished it after my third try!
Look so easy watching you.
Haven't watched the whole video yet, but seeing your setup and note that you have two "small" items for each character, but since they are both L1, each can only bring 1 small item to an adventure. Maybe it won't matter if you don't opt to use the items.
Thanks, so helpful to watch these, really helps a beginner like myself. Great video!
Thanks for watching, and happy adventuring! :)
This really helps me. Thank you.
@Brian Andrews Glad the video helped, and good luck with the rest of your Gloomhaven adventure!! :)
I'm really enjoying these videos. I'll have to go back in time and see what other Gloomhaven stuff you have uploaded. :)
Was this the first time you'd played this scenario? I keep hearing that it's super tough, but you made it look easy!
@Jay Plays Thanks for watching. The tutorials for Jaws of the Lion are the only ones I have uploaded. I played these back in August ... just took me a while to post. And all those are first plays, but with that said, I did play A LOT of the original Gloomhaven, so I had a decent grasp on the game. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer Wow, Dale, you're famous! You're getting spammed! ;)
@@jayplays4215 Haha! You don't need to be famous to get spammed. But this round of "spamming" is interesting.
I failed at this scenario once, and then it was looking bad for a second time, so I gave up and wanted to watch a play through for tips. Only had to watch for 5 minutes, and realized I was playing with an EXTRA stone golem (that top left one was too far away from me for me to notice it shouldn’t be used with two characters). Uuuuugghh, but at least I feel a little bit better for my utter failure, haha.
Aaaand now I’m realizing I was treating all the purple bordered rough terrain as obstacles… so thank you for putting this together!
@@daniellebackus819 Glad I could help!! :)
I am interested in these reduced Gloomhaven game play throughs. Seeing the monster the full Gloomhaven games is (size, setup time etc..) I have not taken the plunge - however my son and I are having the time of our lives playing the PC version of Gloomhaven. I really recommend it. A fantastic and sucessful board-game to video game adaptation in my opinion.
@Werdna Glad you've got a great gaming buddy! Set-up and tear down is A LOT easier with this version. Well not easier than the PC, but the original board game. ;)
Thanks, you are good! The favorite counts as card at your hand, while it is not recovered?
I also started using dice to track hit points. It's way easier and faster than using the small tokens that come with the game.
I've got a set of dice by my table to use for any game. :)
Agree, it’s better to track enemy health than the tokens. But I like using the dials for my characters
@25.00 when turn ends. Elements didnt get weaker. Am I right? Also @36.00 they used the fire? So it should have also moved? I am totally new to this one waiting for my copy of the game. That element board is still not clear to me... Thanks for the videos!
At the end for the mama.potion reward. Only one character receives a mana potion. Not both characters. Due to receiving a single mama potion. It's whomever opened the treasure.
You get one mana potion for completing the scenario and a second if you loot the treasure chest.
I know I am a year late, but thanks for the playthrough 😁😁
Hope you enjoy the game! :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer I havent brought the game yet, but you have help me decide that i want it. 😁😁
My guide book says for advantage to draw two cards and pick the best, for disadvantaged draw two and pick the worst. Is there any reason you only draw one card on advantage, but two on disadvantage?
How did you have access to the Oak charm in this scenario? Aren't only items 1-13 available from the shop at this point?
It was in the last scenarios treasure chest.
You captioned a mistake that wasn't a mistake the zealots had jump so terrain doesn't effect them.
@Chris Thanks! :)
Hey Dale... What do you think about this game as a purely solo experience?
@XHuntinatorX I think if you don't mind playing 2 characters, yes. I do want to note that I no longer own the game, but that was mainly because I played so much of the original edition, I was kind of played out on the game but I know this game system is tops for many solo gamers. :)
Around 12 minutes the zealot didn’t attack you at range because he was out of range, why didn’t he move to get within range?
The card only said Attack. Characters have base movement, but they can only use it if the card says "Move + X" with the +X being added to whatever their base is.
