How I have installed a Cheap Chinese Diesel Heater on my Seawych sailing boat. What bits I used and which bits I don`t. Also, where I fitted them around the boat.
I´m running four of these heaters on my boat and at home, the first one since three years in one of my workshops. That one runs sometimes for days or weeks 24/7, when i have to do some paint- or epoxywork on boat- or other parts. I changed two dieselpumps and three glowplugs over the years, thats it.
These heaters definitely have their place. Someone I know enquired to buy a glow plug, but our local specialist refused to help with Chinese diesel heaters. Nor would he state eberspacher part numbers to match. If you have links to replace parts, I’m sure others would be keen to know.
I think you covered it all. Get all the right parts (they might tot up to many times the cost of the chinese heater) and install it all correctly. Good on you!
Hi Jayson, great video, really useful. A link to the parts would be super awesome, so people know what they need to buy. You're shaming me into posting some stuff too
You’re welcome. Hope it helps you. It’s not easy installing it around a small craft where itt won’t be too intrusive or keeping you awake at night. I wouldn’t be without mine now. It’s made a world of difference!
I now have a 100ah gel battery as the main battery with a 50ah gel as back up. I have 2x 20w, 1x30w and now a 50w solar panels all connected to a dual battery controller. The wind generator is small, about 1-2amp. TBH, I think 2x 50ah batteries will be enough now.

Nice one dad 👍🏽
🤙
No nonsense solution for a warm boat that does not brake the bank.
Nice Jase well done :) the pot noodle lid does that fuel tank not need to vent?
Thanks.. the cap still vents as it’s not sealed tight around the cap. But it’s definitely stopped water from entering the tank.
what you electric battery storage and charging ?

Chinese? Might consider TWO carbon monoxide detectors.
