I enjoy your videos so much. On May 2 my oldest son died of cancer. He suffered for 4 months, and during that time I made him a great blue and white quilt to comfort him in his bed, besides taking care of him day and night with my daughter in law. I look forward to making another quilt when my grief subsides.
My first video I watched that you made is when you showed us how to make the little girls jumper dress. Lately I started watching your quilt videos. As the past reviews said, you are so easy to understand for beginners like me ! Appreciate it !
Donna, Thank you so much. I have watched your videos over and over to help me get the steps n stages down and what happened is I gained confidence.. I get so nervous with the cutting, the sewing I good with. I just wanted to let you know I love your videos, they are so helpful and I love the patterns you design!!! Take care and God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
Chris Littebrant I live in Raleigh, NC as well and agree with your comment 💯%. I’ve been quilting less than 2 years and the longarmer commented she couldn’t believe how much I’ve improved in such a short time. I replied, I learned and continue to learn from Donna Jordan 😃
Hi Julendia, Thank you for sharing your journey with me ☺️👍 So sweet of you. I am truly enjoying the processes. Take care and God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
Donna you have a special gift for instruction; I cannot wait for each new tutorial to pick up another great tip for quilting. Thank you for sharing and for your generous give always!
I just sorted my scraps and realized how much fabric I have. Or should I say, my husband noticed HOW MUCH Fabric I had. This looks like a fun quilt to make. Thank you for sharing the pattern.
Really cute children's quilt, and it would look great with lots of styles of fabric, I think. I do like how you added a border to the top and bottom so the quilt was more rectangular than perfectly square. Thanks for the pattern, Donna!
As a stamper who is just getting into sewing ... I love your give away. This is very intriguing. The quilt was fun. Thanks forvthe tips and ideas. I really loved the circle quilting pattern.
Beautiful quilt and I love the bright colors divided by the "bubbling blue water" blocks. You always do a fantastic job on your quilts and tutorials. This quilt gives me lots of ideas. Lay it on the floor and let your little one find and point out the different colors. Applique letters of the alphabet and/or numbers in the different colored blocks. Quilt, stitch or stamp different animals and/or objects in the squares. Each subject would have it's own block of colors a different square of squares (or diamond of diamonds) for each different subject mentioned above. Make learning fun for your little one. ;) Just a thought.
I LOVE this pattern! Sometimes simple patterns with the right color choices can have a grear impact! Great quilt, and I love the bubble quilting! This is a great scrap quilt; it is the next quilt on my to do list. Thanks, Donna!
I think I'd like to try this pretty quilt in a smaller size using 2 1/2 inch squares instead of the 3 inch. Of course you would have to adjust the filler sized triangles but that should be no problem. Thank you Donna for your wonderful instructions and pleasant personality.
You are an amazingly generous and wonderful teacher Donna. thank you for all your videos and free patterns, and for all I've learnt. Any chance of a video showing how to put a quilt together , and quilted on a regular sewing machine please. thanks again.
What a great scrap quilt. I so look forward to your videos. I have learned so much about piecing quilts watching you. Thank you so much for your helpful videos.
I love your tutorials Donna. They inspire me. I've always liked to learn something new everyday. I love fabric and have lots of scraps and odd fat quarters I can't wait to work on this one. Thank you.
I look at every tutorials, they are avesome, fantastic. That long arm quiltin vas interesting... how to make bubles. I quilt with home maskin and think to test that way 😊
Such a fun quilt! 💕💕💕 I love watching your tutorials...they are very detailed and you make things look easy enough that a beginner ( like myself) would feel comfortable trying it. Thank you for sharing. 😊🌹
You are my hero! I always save the scraps and I had no idea how to use them. You created a very cool pattern. Can you show us how to make the flying geese blocks that are shown in the bag?
Hi Donna! I love the way you teach quilting. I am waiting for you to do the Cozy Quilt pattern "Milky Way". It looks like an interesting project and I would love to see Your interpretation of the pattern.
I have a lot of left over jelly roll fabric in 2 1/2 width. What measurements would I use for the outside setting triangles please? I love this quilt and just adore you!
Hi Donna, I wish you would have showed up how you picked up and pieced each large block to the other with the corners and the ends. Love your tutorials.
Thank you for all your tutorials. They are very straight forward and easy to work along with you. I just finished the Friendship Braid Table runner using some of scraps. It went so fast and looks fantastic. I am wondering if you have ever done a tutorial using the drunkard's path pattern?
I love your videos. They are very easy to understand. I would love it, if you could "show" how the border is "calculated". I remember you doing it in another video, but can't remember which one. LOL
I have lots of 2 1/2" jelly roll scraps. So, I can do the math for the background pieces, but it sure would be cool if Donna would include that info in the pattern! Hint hint. btw Jordan's isn't my closest quilt shop but its my local as I am only 26 miles away. Donna, you are an inspiration to me and the varieties to choose from in the shop is great!
