    Hey Vedant,
Having worked closely with Nikhil, just wanted to put out the truth.
Nikhil has not missed out on anything or feels like it!! He is doing this simply and quiet literally to learn about industries he is investing into and in the process give back to the society. He anyways had those discussions at his dinner table. He just put 5 cameras to the same discussion so that we can learn from it!! Thats all, clout validation fomo aisa kuch nahi hai!! While I apprecicate the work that went into making this episode, instead of making assumptions, you should have just asked Nikhil!! He would have told you everything without the need for interpretation!! and Yes I agree that Nikhil sees himself in young people and has gone out of the way to help and support us!!
    Good luck :)
    Regards
    Ganesh

      interesting insight; two things though.
first, neither of us could be mouthpieces to Nikhil, hence I only took statements and observations made in public, for public, as the basis of my hypothesis; nobody except Nikhil will actually ever know what drives him, hence the need of a psychoanalysis on his public persona.
secondly, there are no assumptions: assumptions would've been had I gone into hyperboles and interpreted and deducted what's beyond his words; when the cameras are on even the most natural turn on the performance mode. It is empirical we peek into what's behind.
human actions are never simple, especially for a man that sits at the pinnacle of success; even altruism fuels self-worth, and only when there's something missing do we seek it.
As far as asking Nikhil, always open to conversations, if he's up (and would be great if you could convey the message on my behalf, since you're closer); and he'll already know what questions I would ask him.
He's doing incredible work, I'm incredibly curious to explore why.

@ThinkSchool One simple question - do you ask a liar if he is lying? And if you are closer too him, your opinion of him should not be considered right? Thats why during the investigation,if a police officer is related or closer to criminal ,he is removed from the case. Just like you do your investigation of various businesses and share your opinion with people(i am one of them, and i like your videos),this one is opinion about person behind the business. And you vouching out for him seemed odd to me hence the comment. And regarding my opinion about nikhil - he is clearly trying to copy naval ravikant.

Can you ask him about how he was making money trading while being a partner in a brokerage firm and how he hasn't broken multiple laws in regards to trading ?
Also do you expect anybody with half a brain to believe the person who cheated in an exhibition match against Anand wasn't cheating with trade data to make money while trading ?
Its strange how theres never any questions asked about his trading patterns while simultaneously running a brokerage firm.
This same person who was apparently such a great trader when looked into happens to be so scared to actually take risk with any of his money.
One can fool the general dumb public but as I said anybody with half a brain can see the obvious.

I didn't really know who Nikhil was before watching this video. OMG, the amount of self-reflection I got in these 10 minutes is insane. Not going to college and consistently trying to prove yourself to society, feeling extremely isolated from society... bro, it's so relatable from my perspective. Also, the book you mentioned, 'The Denial of Death,' where the author introduced an idea called terror management theory, explaining how mankind's biggest insecurity is death, leading them to contribute to art since the dark ages so they can be remembered after their death. I guess, as an atheist, Nikhil is dealing with it differently.
You could make a whole video on that book. Even though it’s not a light subject, it's absolutely worth sharing.

I would say that when you miss doing something major in life you somewhat miss a key factor in the development of the character and we often get defensive when it comes to our insecurities rather than doing something to resolve them. A man like Nikhil Kamath sir is an inspiration to many but we forget that we cannot have everything in life, we are gonna miss out on one or the other thing. We should also not forget that this dropout culture has been glamorized over the years and we don't discuss the repercussions that it has on that particular person's life because all we can see is the gold and glitters that the person enjoys so when we get an insight of that person's life then we get to know its not all gold and glitters. this video is a perfect representation of it and you have done a fantastic job by mentioning the relationship issue. 👍👍

    Nice video btw, Rusty
Well, I was greatly intrigued by the personality Nikhil Kamath has..after watching few of his podcasts. I binge watched many videos (apart from the podcast) of Nikhil where he talks about his life in general. Here are my notes:
    Key Observations:
    1. Nikhil Kamath had a disturbed/lonely childhood (shares this w Zepto founders)
    2. Nikhil had taken therapy(shares in one of the podcasts) and asking deeper questions to know a person might have came from that.
    3. Zerotha Team: I have to say this, he has an incredible core team Nithin, Kailash, Venu, Karthik etc. with brilliant minds and down to earth personality (this has definitely shaped Nikhil in many ways, I believe)
    My thoughts:
Whatever might be the reason to start a podcast whether its for investing, research, content creation or self satisfaction, Mr. Nikhil Kamath has and is continuing to add value to the life of 'wannabe young entrepreneurs' out there by publishing these top conversations with amazing people out live!!
These podcasts from Nikhil are enough to bring out the entrepreneur in us! An MBA is not necessarily needed.

I’d have to say that I’m quite disappointed seeing such Assumptions about someone you don’t know at all.
Like someone has already mentioned, Nikhil seems like the guy who’d probably reply to you if you just asked him this.
Since you say that he’s doing it for the social media clout, that he clearly doesn’t need, wouldn’t you be doing this video for the same?

hi nayana, appreciate the feedback; however like I mentioned on the other comment as well, being a public figure opens you up to criticism, regardless of whether you are a genuine or dishonest individual.
every statement or POQ I've made in this video, is based entirely on public statements, driving natural conclusions beyond reasonable doubts; what's interesting to me is that this isn't the first person I've made a video of this sort on, but this is the first time people have come in such abundance to defend the person in question, with blanket criticism being 'how can you judge someone you don't know?', entirely ignoring all the points I've mentioned in great detail.
it's worth wondering, internalised and external by means of this video, why that is.

Vedant, I'd like to share some thoughts after watching your video:
    1. At the 4:15-minute timestamp, you mentioned that if Nikhil really wants to educate the audience, he should create podcasts in Hindi. While it's true that Hindi has a larger audience, not all guests may be fluent in Hindi, and there are diverse language-speaking states in India.
    2. Watching thumbnail, I clicked on the video expecting insights into what Nikhil might have misrepresented. And after finishing more than half of the video I felt that I have been misleaded and lied by you. And i just checked other thumbnail of your videos which have words like Toxic, danger, finished, over, failed, crap etc which clearly indicates that you are misleading your subscribers and spreading toxicity and negativity . Already there's so much kachara on internet no need to add to that more. Please respect your One lakh subscribers and give them some genuine content which would make them feel better after watching your content.
    3. Nikhil creates podcasts as a creative outlet, offering content that many find valuable. Judging him based on his interview videos and family pictures seems unfair. Consider how you'd feel if someone did the same to you. At 9:20 mins you said he's school drop out and didn't go to college , he has weak sense of self and all. Man, I think you have gone to school and completed college if this is what is the output personality you have built after those important years of school and college life. Then actually you are indirectly showing public your low self worth and it's time to reflect into your core insecurities and make them right.

What is Nikhil Kamath lying about ? A breakdown of his character to make deductions of his reasons for starting the podcast, so what he's not doing anything wrong in any of these assumptions you made?
Infact I feel that you are misleading your viewers with the title of the video - clickbait to gain more traction, and this feels like hypocrisy when you're talking about the same thing in this video.

I would have learnt it better if there were more hindi speaking ppl around me. Everyone is doing it for their own good, Everyone has insecurities and we cannot escape from it. All in all, this felt like a subtle takedown of a famous person who grew really fast and garnered amazing numbers on UA-cam. You are spot on with the thumbnail and the title. UA-cam Algo's pushing it.

I think after achieving everything money, success, fame, and power, we feel this inner urge to give back to society, through our purpose there is also a selfish motive of us like gaining respect and satisfaction to your minds and there is nothing wrong with it. It is a win-win situation for both people and the person with purpose..at the end Nikhil is also a human and psychology like any other of us to strive for love and appreciation and I genuinely find nothing wrong in it.

Terrible analysis to be honest I agree with u tht he doesn’t have traditional experiences but he has various experiences which no one has. It’s so weird tht u make a video and at the end of yr video only conclusion is that he does it for validation which apparently every one does it for. Comedians work for validation even u to an extent to do it so much time spent on a video to say something so obvious at the end…

Nikhil Kamath is literally a guy who cheated in a chess game against the greatest chess player in indian history and showed absolutely no remorse afterward. And what made it worse was that it was a charity event in which he cheated. After cheating he thought no one would notice and went on to say "I got lucky" in an attempt to appear 'humble' what? That is eqevelent to a man winning a race against usain bolt and saying they got lucky.
What else can you expect from such a man? You can never put your trust in a man who is so narcissistic that he prefered to cheat rather than take pride in getting the chance to play against Vishy Anand the legend himself.

What was the purpose of this video? Why was this necessary? How did it change the way viewers view his content? Has this made me wiser? More careful? More critical while viewing his content? Assuming for a second that your deep dive into his psyche is accurate and he is in fact acting on his insecurities..... How does that take away from any of the conversations that he's having on his podcast? It's as pointless as me trying to analyse why you wear particular colors in your videos.
And what was the purpose behind you making this video? What drove you to create this video?
Was it out of concern for the general viewer? Unlikely. Your video had zero impact even though you made it with a very PSA kind of vibe.
Was it out of curiosity that why should a person as sorted as Nikhil go to such lengths to make a Podcast? Unlikely. You'd probably just read up a bit and get satisfied with your conclusions. Not make an entire video out of it.
Or was it simply because you found a popular UA-camr who's gaining traction and rising in the ranks and decided to ride that wave and get views? My guess is that its this one.

In the entire video, Vedant appears to be suggesting that Nikhil is dealing with insecurities, experiencing FOMO, and actively seeking attention, appreciation, validation, and love. However, these are general human aspirations and there is nothing inherently wrong with them. Personally, I can relate to feeling the same way and I believe Vedant may have also experienced similar emotions in his life. It's a common experience that we all go through.
Now, let's consider something: What if we changed the title and thumbnail to focus on the positive reasons why Nikhil started the podcast instead? By doing so, the same video same frame by frame video would tell a more uplifting story about him, highlighting his motivations in a positive light. This simple change could make us see Nikhil in a whole new way.
The problem with calling Nikhil a liar in the title is that it may discourage people from watching the video, resulting in fewer views. However, Vedant, in making this video and deliberately making the title and thumbnail in such way is also seeking attention in his own way. It's like both Nikhil and Vedant are in the same boat, wanting attention but using different strategies. This is similar to how we all try to grab attention in our own lives.

    1. Puts catchy/ controverial titles that attract us viewers
    2. Builds up on the same to make us more curious
    3. Starts praising the person/persona in the narrative
    4. Slowly blends his personal views/opinions with the facts and observations
    5. You realize that you clicked on for a controversy, but end up sympathizing for the person in the video

That's interesting take. But can it also be something like even after he is long gone he would be remembered for the good he did. For the man he was who tried to breakaway from the shackles of the society but tried to give back. We all know whatever you achieve in life at the end you are meaningless for most of the people and after your death their won't be soul to remember except very few. They can be as less that they can counted with help of fingers present in one hand. In such a society most people want others to remember them and remember them for good after they are gone. With him having no lineage who would continue his very own bloodline it can be fear that even after all this he may be not remembered by even one person after his death.
As a normal human that thought scares you. It can make you feel that your life is worthless.
