but i still think its the fault of parenting where they failed to look their kids because they were too much invested in films ....also nepo kid like ranbir kapoor can too become a versatile actor and the only way is to leave social media , work on yourself , work in chosen movies than enhance your acting skills and shut the mouths of people who try to troll you by your work
Bro I would still say getting lead roles in movies from huge industry people and so much marketing any normal actor can't imagine that much exposure first he despite being talented it would take his lifetime to get lead roles then this level of marketing is not easy to get from independent makers,if you live in mumbai you would understand how many trained actors don't get chance to even audition for substantial roles and the star kids start from direct primary roles without any other credibility other than being born to a family why not they start from auditioning for tertiary characters too
Vedant bro even struggling actors ke struggle ke saamne kuch nhi hai star kids still get films but good actors with no background faces exploitation from casting directors ,directors, producers on casting couch too, they ask why should we invest in you if we cannot test you for women actors it's even more difficult as they will not get roles after 30 and if they have dusky color they will never get chance
Even years after working in the industry my friend gets offered the role of background artists and too many fraud people as casting directors want to become actors themselves they only take audition but never watch the audition as the working process of industry is very disorganised
The problem is, when these star kids have zero acting talent, no screen presence, no charisma... and the audience rejects them and they are still given chance and shoved into our faces. ex: Arjun Kapoor
All girls from Anil Kapoor's family have no business being in the acting business. Sonam couldn't dance or act so she was marketed as the fashion icon. However, infact she wore some hideous clothes. Ananya Pandey or Sara can't act either. Now Suhaana and Khushi are testing audience s patience. Yeh dukh kahe khatam nahi hota be?😢😢😢
The actual problem is that most starkids don't want to be actor, they want to stars like their parents why should we waste our money on this already rich people to make them even more richer
Very true. They expect to be showered with love and be worshipped as soon as they step into the industry with their debut movie. A lot of them. have that kind of attitude where they feel like the public owes them everything.
oh my god. this is a very very good point. i never looked at it that way. this is so true. it's very similiar to how these celebrities open their own brands and they they flop after a few years. they're not actually working or putting effort into them, no, they just want the success or fame/longevity which comes with it.
Ya but unless kids are exceptional, parents gotta balance support for their kids, tell kids a real side & see if they really wanna be actors or just want popularity (as one comment said). - CC: & don't push them to be an actor, carbon copy of you because you are one (keep it an option). -EASY SUCCESS: cuz if they get everything easily they won't learn things that they would from their struggles & earn it as their parents did. - ARSHAD: to answer arshad warsi question of why a parent shouldn't nepotize. - VARUN: & answer to varun dhawans a pencil box is different from giving everything including a guaranteed role & movie being made for you even if you auditioned in name only. - BALANCE: You give them what they need : a good environment to learn & find what they want. but not everything that can't really be achieved without hard work or passion. Which is practical experience of hardships. -DEPENDANCY: If you tell them to research than just giving info before hand you'll make them self-dependant even if it takes a little time to reach places. -SKILLS: Tell them to learn skills needed for acting, stop making your kids from meeting & building contacts with directors before the launch to get a role/get a movie made for them. - AUDITION: so when auditioning for a movie directors don't know to pick you & you actually earn that role. - Be that ceos kid who works as an intern in kdramas & find the passion. - COMPLACENCY: that's why many rich people donate their money to help people & so their kids don't get complacent & think they'll always be rich & they don't,money fluctuates. - SUSTAINABILITY: many big actors are in debt to maintain their lifestyles or SRK wouldn't need businesses if acting was sustainable. - SUCCESS: if a kid gets it easy without even having the passion for it,most would find it internally devastating because they'd constantly feel lesser & shadowed by their parents. - PARENTS: most don't want their kids to struggle like they did but you as a parent reached where you are because of some of your struggles. So delete the unnecessary struggles but keep the necessary ones needed for growth. -HELP: if kids ask why you don't help while other kids get help, tell them so you don't want them to deal with inferiority complex due to being compared to their parents & hate from the world due to not being on par as some nepo kids do. PUBLIC: needs to stop hating for unfair reasons by comparing the struggles & criticize constructively. because even if you switched your life with theirs after a certain amount of time you'd still be complaining because it's still a problem.
Your video proves the point about the non-essential life struggles of nepo kids. When 1 billion people have struggled to fill plates for family and afford education for their kids, nepo kids' struggle is surreal and non-essential for 99% of the population. Its similar to saying that Uncle Bill's kid struggling to choose between rolls and a Ferrari is a life struggle.
Like the way he said 'q ki aisi environment m bade hue h ki they're prone to drugs and alcohol' meaning they end up being drug addicts and alcoholic due to their environment and not because they want to, it's not like one's forcing them to drink,to dress,to party, to put makeup and branded clothes on.
Where did you pull the "non-essential for 99% of the population" and "struggling to choose between rolls and a Ferrari is a life struggle" from? Just cuz you can't fathom someone comparing you with your great parents all your life 24 hrs a day, disregarding whatever you bring to the table by saying "you're worthless you deserve nothing" "you're nothing but the result of your parents", getting bullied by tens of millions of people on the daily, having 0 privacy in your life absolutely doesn't mean these are not real struggles. You saying those aren't "real struggles" is the same as a cobbler saying a sleep and life deprived physicist struggling to make a scientific discovery his entire life is not struggling for real, his struggles aren't "real struggles". But of course this would go lightyears above your head just like the physicist's life goes above the cobbler's head and you'd come running at me all salty.
@@tiromandal6399 Bhai Everybody has struggles. We are just talking about intensity of struggle. Some people struggle to put food on table. Nawazuddin Siddique worked as a security guard in night and struggling actor in day. For 99% of the population not only in India but across the world. They will be willing to swap their struggles with the struggle of nepo kids no questions asked. And some people come from rich families like Tata, Ambani but keep a very low profile. It's their choice to choose fandom over peace. Hope you understand my point of view. But peace out nothing we are saying will matter. 😂😂😂😂
As once famously said by sushant singh rajput : Nepotism is not a problem, but if big star kids deliberately kill non nepo kids avenues than it is a problem
True words of wisdom by Bobby Deol - "When things are not working out, you start to seek refuge in things that make you comfortable no matter the sabotage it can cause"

@@user-gr57ipeoigright??, I mean why do people even care about actors, nepotism and stupid orry stuff??? Like what's the point of it. I mean this same audience who shits on these actors by calling them not talented and unworthy are also not doing any good for the country either. These trollers or hater are just liability for our country who have nothing to do besides typing on internet.
Nobody hates good actors..Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Rishi Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and the list goes on..they all are star kids yet are loved so much coz they are great actors
Exactly why dont star kids start theater at schools. You know when you do theater like especially marathi and south and bengali theater you learn a lot of things about making a artistic product.. about acting.. Why don't they act in smaller independent projects. Like Babil khan Many national award winning actors come from theater backgrounds Why do they need to be launched? As a star.. as a leading actor.. start small like many other today's big actors Lke rachel zegler received snow white after she has acted in many other projects and proved herself
very true. Hrithik Roshan's debut was a hit for the very fact that he actually had the charisma and skills to back up for him. i know nobody is safe from criticism and nepo kids might get hate one or another, but they can definitely try harder.
Points raised by Priyanka and early Kangana are still valid. Also 1:38 sums its up. One must also raise that being a female outsider appears to have different challenges for male outsiders.
Most nepo kids don't go to NSD or work in theatre/drama to hone their skills, craft like struggling outsiders & spend most of their teenage life partying, enjoying their privileges & then they're directly launched in bjg budget film where they do surface level acting, if film flops they blame that just cause they're born into privileged family they're not liked
Well honestly they do all the things u mentioned 😅 they barely party but paparazzi don't go to click pictures of non nepo kids they only click pictures when nepo kids are in a club. Before they are launched they have years of training from being on a set assisting a director to learning walking talking dancing and every other skill. The film flops because they didn't choose a good director or a good script.
exactly, not all new nepo kids are hated. ex: junaid khan who is Aamir khan's son has proved it in his debut movie maharaj tht nepo's if had a good foundation and training, they have a great potential and hence wouldnt be trolled like others and rather get praised for just their skills.
People don't have problems with Nepo kids, But when a guy like Aditya Roy Kapoor gets 10+ movies without giving a single hit, It becomes a point of concern
yea because it's not abt him getting those opportunities...it's the fact that those opportunities don't exist in vaccum, for an underserving star kid to get a movie, chances are very high that an outsider struggling didn't get it. and it's disrespectful when these ppl refuse to acknowledge it.
To be very honest with you, if you talk about gen Z star kids, Babil Khan, is a very good example of how you can be a good actor despite coming from a privileged background
@@AmanSingh-ej5ds kay kay menon worked with him so babil knows acting, also u r hating because he doesnt have the type to define your form of masculanity or he is women centric
It's a perspective tbh, in absolute terms it does not QUALIFY to be called "STRUGGLE". I'm a student in private university, one of the top and most expensive ones out there and I see 10 yr olds selling chhole bhature to support their family and they're much mature than I am. So it's not like I don't have problems in my life (there're exams and pressure of placements) but in the end, my failed lifestyle (of earning 6 LPA at service based company) will be their dream lifestyle so their struggle is wayyy higher than mine.
Earning 6 LPA at a service based company is not a failed lifestyle bro, you'll keep improving in the long run. Times are tough and competition is so much bcuz of this damn overpopulation.
exactly everyone starts life at different points. life can never be fair as everyone is given different minds, situations, financial help etc.....it just what you do with the assests u have at your disposal and make it better for yourself.
12:35 I disagree here, the society looks at them differently because these are celebrities but the twist here is that these starkids secretly want to be looked up to and praised while pretending to trying hard to fit into the middle class narrative. Imagine experiencing all that wealth could offer and then thinking that it would be better if they were born in a normal family, barely anyone would think that way. They say stuff in interviews so that the idea of a struggle will be created in the minds of the audience and ultimately their movies will grab in more money and they will get all the applause they want. I never felt anything genuine in what they say, it feels like they are serving a cooked up story to get the audience to like them because the audience are the cash cows that can be easily manipulated.
well it can...and it can be seen in other sectors as well. it is very prominent- businesses are passed down, people refer their friends n family for jobs etc. I think the problems come when the outsiders are not given a chance to prove themselves or allowed to thrive in the industry intentionally. its ok to be privileged but it is not ok to drag someone else down.
Even after hearing all these cons. I would still choose this, than to be an outsider. Living in the Shadow of your own parents is nothing compared to fighting against their opposition to join such industry and not having trust of people who loved ,cared and supported you since you were born.
eh, you will always be overshadowed by your parents and constantly be compared to them and you have to act knowing still that you'll never be able to come out of that. Though it is true that an outsider to enter bollywood is hard without any connections.
@@zish3655infact, you're constantly compared with your parents, if your parents love you and don't compare as generally these star kids' parents are you would never feel a tear in your life. You can literally roam the whole world without earning a single rupee/dollar, like it's the endless amount of money, in order to earn 'on their own' they invest this money in stocks or start a monotonous weird brand with shady name which they put not even 1% of effort. I would happily choose a life like that where i am loved, preferred, stress free, rich and lacking nothing. If i were instead of their position, i would be like them but the difference i will have will be insane because i strongly believe in developing a good personality, I don't believe in showcasing either, i have my passions and interest and will happily follow them without earning a single rupee myself
@@zish3655still compared to all those it's better and privileged to be nepo kid, money struggle as growing up poor fucking sucks and then you grow up and you don't have much backbone to fall if you are not successful irrespective to any career field
Nepotism is everywhere and nobody is denying that. People are screwed when they star kid seems dumb, clueless most of the times. Moreover their acting skills is filthy and surface level. When someone is honest and capable people love them be it Kajol or Rani Mukherjee or Ranbir kapoor. When audience invest their money to get entertained and star kid disappoint them people speak about it unapologetically.
No dude nepotism doesn't run that deep in any other industry. The amount of pr working behind these star kids when they don't have the money to afford these pr, their parents help them get such good PRs, advertising, new projects still after so many failures. Even a company owner's son has to learn all the right business management tactics and have deep knowledge before sitting in his father's chair and learning the skill otherwise the company will fail totally but these nepo kids keep getting chances for so many years until their chacha and kaka also give up and say tumse na ho payega and that is in itself so much privilege.
I dont hate them, but its just the recognition that they are more priviledge , safe and secure than many commoners who are deserving ..they are taking their opportunities ..
But bashing them for that is not correct In every field you will have more opportunity if your parents are already in that field be it anything. A job, business or anything else. You have the right to criticize them for their acting, personality, and behaviour. But being merciless towards them, making them feel like shit, comparing them with their parents in order to make them feel low is not right.
To mat bano na actor, do something in which you fits, is it necessary to become an actor. Non nepotism actors mostly are the good actors because they are passionate about it. Most of the nepo kid's acting feels like forced acting.
Most of their parents acted in movies that we could relate to and had stories of coming up. When 1 billion people struggle daily, they don’t want to see out of touch reality stars lecturing us. We just want to watch good acting
Vedant Madhavan and Agni Chopra despite being star kids, stayed away from all the glamour and priviledges and made their name in sports. Vedant Madhavan is winning medals in swimming and Agni Chopra has already scored 3 100s in 3 matches in Ranji Trophy. Other star kids should look at them and get inspired Also talking of the star kids who went in movies, Babil Khan and Vardhan Puri are very talented and easily the best actors among current generation star kids. We will see more of them in coming years

When your dad is the king of Bollywood and you grew up with everything you would need to succeed in acting , you can’t be a bad actor, you just cannot. Being good in acting is the least of what you can do.
Not really! Though the craft of acting can be learnt, it’s foundation is inborn. A durable talent is born with the person. It’s like you can learn music but you can’t be AR Rahman.
The problem is not that their parents want to give the world of opportunities to their kids but as an outsider people not getting a fair chance they have to go through so much to get the role they deserve yet started kids are getting roles after roles even though they don't deserve it as they also lack acting talent . May be outsiders have an edge for choosing the roles but they don't get enough choices to choose from as they don't get any choice in their life rather than just waiting
@@sannusaj1194 Alia has a pretty great script choosing sense. Apart from SOTY, her movies are all pretty great. She also can act. Her performance in Gangubai was phenomenal.
On a very serious note, they adapted quite a lot from the western culture and they forgot their basic roots. For example, they've got an accent, they are more sort of promoting the "fakeness" so to say. Anyway, they can definitely make changes and have a real good come back and make their place in the B Town. Great for mentioning it Vedant, lots of love to your videos.
Accent just comes from the people you surround yourself with, why judge people on their accent, accent is just the way you speak, anyone can speak in a manner that they presume good, why judge on that
Indian audience should not be surprised. When we swarm the streets when these kids where actually kids we made it difficult for them to integrate into their own culture and country.
I think Joe Rogan is talking about child stars like kids who worked in the entertainment industry from a young age, not Bollywood Nepotism kids who debut as adults. He’s talking about countless Disney and music stars who experience so much trauma and depression and spiral into drugs due to it, sometimes from people or adults around them not protecting them. Film industries with child actors are notorious for exploiting these kids at a young age, from drugs and alcohol to even sexual abuse. Bollywood nepo kids have been exorbitantly protected, sheltered, kept in their own bubble until they have their first real life work project which they most likely didn’t earn based on merit or talent. These kids are exposed to paparazzi and cruel comments from a young age and their parents do their best to keep them protected and in their safe bubble. They don’t go through the child star struggle like Jeannette Mccurdy, Amanda Bynes, Lindsey Lohan, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Drew Barrymore, Shia LeBeouf, Justin Bieber, etc. Bollywood Nepo kids may have their own struggles due to fame at a young age, like being exposed to all kinds of public scrutiny, being compared to their parents and never living up to high expectations (before and after their launch). However, I think the child stars Joe Rogan is talking about are kids under 18 who worked in entertainment and got so exploited or eventually off track or lost in life due to their trauma that almost all of them are messed up in some way and still trying to recover from the damage or childhood they lost in a way. For example, Daniel Radcliffe struggled with alcoholism during the filming of Harry Potter because of the immense pressure of fame at a young age. Similarly, Drew Barrymore started drinking at age 9 and doing more drugs and substances at age 11. Child stars are influenced by the people and adults around them and many times it’s too much pressure to put on anyone, especially kids.
It is mostly about skills - star kids like Ranbir or Konkona are very talented and have been accepted by audiences because of their acting skills. Someone like Sonam Kapoor who had very poor acting skills did not last long. Ultimately it is like any other job where if you have the skills and perform well you grow and move forward.
Perhaps but empathy comes from shared experiences and they live in a world far removed from mine. They are young and rich, so guess they will all be okay after few years 😉
Indian cinema especially for Hindi cinema there are 2 threats: first is for hindi language cinema which bombay film industry make which is controlled by non hindi region artists and cultural influence especially Punjabi and promote their culture, and who also exploits hindi region arts, languages, culture, history etc. And it lacks isolated artists who has been unconsciously been matured in their immediate society and can create individualistic original fantasies. 2nd threat is our film industries is monopolized by westernized elites, who live in a emotional western political fantasy (self image, world view) who has accepted being a subject of western mainstream, and who copy paste western socio politico philosophical cultural artistic elements, and who copy paste western trend of using labels, categories to practice and promote same minded closed labelled groupism
Being an Outsider the most difficult part is to find the first opportunity to show my Capabilities.... That's what Star kids are privileged for they find there first film or opportunity so easily which i didn't find in last 3 years. Even after doing theatre and taking professional Acting classes....
Honestly thinking as a Human being I felt bad for Star Kids. I get your point, but I feel like some famous people with family connections don't make the most of their opportunities. The issues they face, like building character or dealing with comparisons, are things everyone goes through. The difference is most of us get help and guidance from our parents or guardians to tackle these challenges. Nepotism kids often have a lot of freedom, and that might not always be a good thing. It can affect our generation because their acting and common sense might not be the best influences.
All i can say is that Everyone has to fight their battles and deal with their problems and no one can understand someone's else problem even if they say they do in reality they don't.
Everyone has a struggle story less or more... But, point is if nepo kids has more opportunities and attention, then audience will have higher expectations. Nepo kids should always remember this, and think before taking this field for profession. ..as simple as that Edit(reply of 5cmmt): Yes, it's simple. Why people consider nepo kids means Bollywood?! Bollywood has huge audience than other, so troll and attacks will be in a huge number. I'm taking about nepo kids, means everywhere those kids can be found. You have much good resources, facilities, experienced people around you! So automatically audiance will expect more from them. If they can't give it all, then don't come in the profession.🙂
But that’s the point isn’t it people don’t even seem to care about the movies which don’t have nepo kids In all the south industry also there are no outsiders in their industry all are nepotism I don’t understand why only Bollywood is targeted
@@hydragaming4265i think one of the reason Bollywood is being targeted is that it doesn't have one cultural root , also it is more westernized than south, Media and politics also defamed the whole Bollywood after 2020 for eg Susant case Drug mafia Boycott campaign etc Also nowadays polarization in India mostly north India is at it's peak I also think bjp was targeting Bollywood to divert people and to avoid their fails during covid
Living in parents shadows isn't as bad as going into an unknown world without much financial support where you are just another person..as replaceable as anyone else...i personally don't care about nepotism but you are an actor..act well they got the money and resources to go to the bests of the best acting school and everything but they choose to be shitty in their jobs complain and act like they are not privileged like own up to it do your job work hard 😐🍜 And i loved the video new outlook
I think the basic here in india is that we feel jealous of rich and successful people.. we cant digest the fact that the same people would do the same thing for their kids to their respective fields whenever they have a chance.. not just in movie.
Not absolutely, if what they are good and keep getting better at what they are, people will appreciate, RANBIR KAPOOR( MY PERSONAL FAVORITE ), you can't name a single starkid better than him in his craft plus, I don't like how people like to defend them by saying that "out of jealously over their privilege background they are getting this hate and backlash ", simple explanation they are on a vast scale delusion and wannabees when it comes to connecting with the audience and most importantly show their competancy through their acting skills, 100+ starkids in Bollywood we are talking specifically, yet you can only name like 1 or 2 percent good in terms of mastering the art of acting( cause they are actors). R Madhavan's son isn't an actor he's an athlete he brought medals for the country he's also privileged, but he's not seeing this backlash cause he has already proven his potential, similarly if they do their job efficiently as actors and prove their capabilities, they won't get trolled this much, the problem is also that they somewhere crave and want the attention and appreciation, praises of people without any concrete achievements of their own, the paid PR and their family might provide them the platform and limelight but ultimately it's the audience who decides the fate of the talent no matter if they are highly privilege or not, take for instance even any family be it from background and financial status, will whole heartedly love adore and support their child cause it's their blood and family, but when you walk into the outer world you gotta prove yourself first to achieve certain level of fame respect and real audience who waits for your next move and eager to witness it. STOP giving that "jealous bakwaas" it barely even counts, RANBIR and HRITHIK are prime examples. They went through a lot, Kangana and Deepika the Devils in disguise in both of these talented actors cases, still they made it to the top and will continue to be their, KYUKI END OF THE DAY, KUBAT AUR KABAILIYAT AUKAAT BANATI AUR BADHATI HAI.
Not true, people in india are not jealous but actually HATE nepotism coz for generations multitudes of common people have been denied their rightful opportunities after hardships and struggles due to unchecked nepotism and corruption. Lets face our reality point-blank !!
there are a lot of star kids who are accepted by the audience because the audience now knows the difference between talent and no talent. And audience is not just sitting and commenting on whatever they want to, take an example: if Suhana Khan's film goes flop, of course she will get another chance to work in another big banner movie but this is not the case when someone is an outsider. It is now that people have started recognizing talent instead of just watching nepo kids. And Why not to compare? The comparison should be taken in a positive way which makes a person work harder, but these kids instead of working harder start complaining about it. Just think about Alia, she constructively took everything, and look how is she growing.
I disagree with you because Archies k liye sab pagal huye hai Tara sutaria jhanvi Kapoor ananya Pandey arjun Kapoor ayush sharma ko bhut praise mil rha hai aur talented actors Kunal khemu Sharman joshi Abhay deol Neil bhopalam jaise the waise hee hai koi zyada kaam nhi mil Raha Deepak dobriyal ko
Star kids are 'star' kids because we, the audience have made them into 'stars' before they have even done anything to get that title. It is because of our curiosity and strange fascination that we have with the lives of Bollywood actors that they are even photographed, talked about or given attention in the first place. Moreover, the movie Archies didn't only have 3 star kids but 4 kids who came from outside the industry, yet there is absolutely no mention of them or their work. Why? Because we are more interested on hating star kids than actually welcoming and appreciating new talent.
IN South Cinema, it is actually not uncommon for heroes to do villain roles in earlier films. SRK was not the first. Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi, Kamalhasan have all done it. Recent such example in Telugu industry in Gopichand. Son of a producer but he started of as a villain & rowdy side kick in his first few movies before starting off as hero material.
Very well-thought out and well-explained video of what goes on in their lives. Where you're depressed/threatened/anxious because people hate you, or you're depressed/threatened/anxious because you can't feed your family, both feel the same to the person experiencing it. Only difference is that the privileged have enough resources at their disposal to feel better if they want to.
Nah. I can handle the pressure, expectations & trolling. If you're talented, the opportunities will be justified. Hand me the privilege, money, support, connections & opportunities.

I feel like the broader issue is of self education. People have this idea that if you are born in a privileged position then your problems don’t matter or that you don’t have problems and that is just not true. You just upgrade your problems as you move up (or born privileged) and hating on someone else’s position is not doing you any favors. All of us are suffering from the human condition and the core feelings we all feel are the same but the triggers etc might differ and I feel like if we could all just channel the energy we spend hating towards enriching our own lives instead it would benefit us a lot more.
brilliantly put. also wanted to add that these kids would be foolish not to utilize the resources provided to them from birth, whether that's a starkid launching into Bollywood, perfecting their craft with a choice selection of scripts, OR choosing to go the other way and getting expensive training to become an Olympic medalist. if any one of us was in their place we would've taken advantage of the opportunities given to us as well.
Amazing video again. Also, the basic fact is that if a parent is successful and has the chance to give it to his kid, this includes the opportunities also, then he has the right to do so. For instance, a shopkeeper will surely give ownership of the shop to his son. We do not question that. Do we ever question them? No. Every time you think about a nepo kid, think about a businessman's kid too, and you will understand. It is what it is. You wont leave your Jio sim and take connection of another new independently grown company just bcoz Mukesh Ambani inhereted the business from his dad. You would focus on the product you are getting, and not the family of the seller.
Ranbir Kapoor is successful because he learnt everything from scratch and after that he come to acting. If you like something which among your friend's group doesn't you're bullied. People don't follow rules , break stuff and put out loud music in public and when asked the person who asked becomes the wrong person. Sad state it is
Another aspect is the intellectual capacity of these “stars”. These days celebrities are appearing on long form interviews or podcasts a lot and it’s easy to make out how intelligent or not they are. In earlier times we were always in awe of the stars because we dint know their personal beliefs and opinions. The more they talk the more the public becomes aware of their personality.
Or sir we can say that unfortunately many of them don't have personalities lol I mean listening to SRK is a feast irrespective of the medium but the new gen actors give mostly 'Dumb is cute' vibe .. There are people like SRK who read 3- 4 books each day and then there are people who are unaware of President of our republic.. the issue is not of where 'stars' are coming from.. Its about effort! Regarding Intellectual capacity we have self made people like Urvashi too who must be taken care of!
Good research bro! 👏 A thoroughly well put video which maintains the equilibrium showing both the aspects of the subject...people need more such kind of videos on UA-cam
In today's world, what kind of mindset ppl are in we don't know. Escpecially these kids. I wouldn't want them to go through any mental trauma and cyber bullying just because they are dumb n not talented. I don't like these kids any better than anyone else. But at some point I think we should stop criticising them. Like if you don't like them, just stop watching their movie and stop making them relevant.
14:48 really!! ALIA and good acting skills hahahhhaahh.Gangubai is the only film of alia that is appreciated and it's all because of SLB ,he knows really well how to carve a character.
Most ppl dont know. Nepokids' parents pay money to production houses to get them movies. Hence only rich actors gwt chance. Ritesh Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone and bunty bablee sequel actress(forgot her name) are also some examples. Their parents paid moeny for them. I worked as ad and director in Bollywood ans Marathi films. Nepokids parents pay money in crores. Thats why u never see tv serial actors' kids. Cuz they dont earn that much. And in u dont see mych nepotism in other film industries excpet Bollywood and tollywood. Cuz in other film industries actors dont earn much
@@vedantrusty I thought u work in films😂. Btw if not u should try. When u work at production level u will know about all politics, Govn regulations and support, censor board corruption, salary wages, how actresses earn more money than men except 1% top male actors. Selling tkts it's their secondary resource now. Ott, tv, song, clothes rights and sponsors play a big role. 10yrs ago also many Bollywood movies used to earn 100 cr now also they earn 100-150 cr. Despite inflation and increasing theatre numbers. And all nepokids whether they are director or actors get a chance cuz their parents paid money. No nepokid get chance becuz of their settings or in free. They and anyone can get chance if they pay money to production houses.
Every industry has Nepotism but the issue is how toxic it is. Other Indian film industries also have Nepotism like Malayalam where Mammootty's son Dulquer Salman, Mohan lal's son Pranav exist but the issue with Bollywood is how Toxic the industry has become for Outsiders & hold no accountability to its audience, country or the resources they are exploiting.
@@revanth84 no to become doctor, lawyer, engineer etc u need degree and skills. To become actor and politician u don't need degree nor skills. I already said except Bollywood and tollywood others don't earn well so nepokids won't try much luck. And dulqeer Salman is still good actor. And most Malayalam are not commercial. In Bollywood and tollywood there is zero% chance to get a lead. Remember there was a time 50% actors used to come from ftii. Now except Rajkumar Rao there is no one. Acting has no value now. Kirtni sanon, Deepika, shobhita, manushi chillar like models get lead roles. Meanwhile radhika apte, konkan sen and many young actresses are doing some low budget movies or soft pornos web series.
Who wouldn't do it for their children? You can't force us to watch movies of nepo kids, if you're putting them on a public platform be ready to get criticised or else make a movie and do not release it, watch it with your so called family and relatives and be happy to be cheered in your echo chamber.
Nepotism is a tragedy because it takes opportunities away from talented actors, so it’s really difficult to feel sorry for privileged children regardless of social media when have it 10 times easier than I struggling artist.
The main problem is that for start kids they have to atleast do minimum the average acting of well established stars But they dont have such experience of became main lead of film
I had an idea about these celebrities kids struggles. They might not be mine since my world is different from theirs but I do not want theirs as well. Their life sounds like they were handicapped from when they were a child and thus they fall back to bad habits. It's better to have just enough money to live a decent life and stay away from public because it is hard to be under spotlight. Ofc, doesn't mean audience should accept bad actors. It just means to not give unecessary attention to celebrities and consider them as another human being. This video is again, a good one. Loved it for presenting a different perspective no one talks about.
No one is born with acting skills( same have talent) but for rich kids/ nepo kids if they want to pursue his or her career on acting then they have learn acting from world class Institute like Ranbir Kapoor. In the case of Archie all nepo kid were given one year workshop only for performance/ acting for the Archie. Nepo kids do whatever they want to do but like everyone else has to fulfill the requirements to do any job( profession) . Same level intelligent also ( i don't know why they behave like Dum ( idiots) and middle class in interview maybe for PR) by the way Great video Bro 😊
It’s a quote from Abhishek Bachchan “forget me how many actors in the country can match my dad…. If I ask you to name 10 you struggle after 5-6 names “….
I think media has a big role to play in this. The way they chase starkids for pics, reaction, they create an illusion to these children that the world is crazy for them and just waiting for them to be launched, whereas the reality is that the world is waiting for them to fail because they are privileged.
Vedant your views mostly based on before 2019 Bollywood .Just before SSR tragedy you might have remembered how these star kids stardom were made even before even they born ..just like taimur ( karina kapoor son ) how cute he is not only him but salman nephews ,srk kids etc were all made stars before even they launched in Bollywood but for outsiders we didn't even knew their name like Ranbir Shorey .
The problem is not star kids getting so many chances, the problem is untalented people who do not even care about the craft being given so many chances which kills the quality of a cinema on a national level. people love ranbir kapoor and babil khan despite of them being star kids.

Sonakshi said ki agar apke pas talent u will shine but people with lots of talent couldn’t get opportunities coz they are not nepotism. I understand ki nepotism ko chance milna chahiye sath me talented ppl ko bhi who r not born from nepotism
If they really want to experience struggle then they should start signing and Trying Hollywood or any other foreign industries , They can’t even deliver their Hindi dialogue properly becoz of their upbringing ( as English is their first language which is not bad but people here prefer movies of their mother tongue ) so they should stop forcing themselves in bollywood industry, by this we can get lots of New faces and more deserving hardworking people in that Sector from which audiences can relate and connect to them , this will help in growing our industry ( Do you ever think why bollywood is not growing or getting achievements globally and why Korean and Japan industry is dominating - Because nepotism culture is less and they make Limited films with best actors, bollywood used to be like this man but now everything changed ) Apart from that Nepo kids can also Brush up their skills and also EARN THEIR own POSITION and Respect IN Foreign INDUSTRY !! ❤✨
If they had all luxurious at the same time they must have had opportunity to get into best acting schools and the best personality development guidance.
you will never see star kids the same way again; video achi lagi toh like & share karo!
but i still think its the fault of parenting where they failed to look their kids because they were too much invested in films ....also nepo kid like ranbir kapoor can too become a versatile actor and the only way is to leave social media , work on yourself , work in chosen movies than enhance your acting skills and shut the mouths of people who try to troll you by your work
Bro I would still say getting lead roles in movies from huge industry people and so much marketing any normal actor can't imagine that much exposure first he despite being talented it would take his lifetime to get lead roles then this level of marketing is not easy to get from independent makers,if you live in mumbai you would understand how many trained actors don't get chance to even audition for substantial roles and the star kids start from direct primary roles without any other credibility other than being born to a family why not they start from auditioning for tertiary characters too
Vedant bro even struggling actors ke struggle ke saamne kuch nhi hai star kids still get films but good actors with no background faces exploitation from casting directors ,directors, producers on casting couch too, they ask why should we invest in you if we cannot test you for women actors it's even more difficult as they will not get roles after 30 and if they have dusky color they will never get chance
Even years after working in the industry my friend gets offered the role of background artists and too many fraud people as casting directors want to become actors themselves they only take audition but never watch the audition as the working process of industry is very disorganised
Vicky kaushal is exception also Aditya raval, harshvardhan Kapoor, ishan khattar are also good actors but Vicky kaushal is the best actor
The problem is, when these star kids have zero acting talent, no screen presence, no charisma... and the audience rejects them and they are still given chance and shoved into our faces. ex: Arjun Kapoor
arjun Kapoor movies have flopped since as long as I can remember
But he continues to get movies
Arjun Kapoor ayush sharma, himansh kohli Neil Nitin Mukesh sooraj Pancholi , Jacky bhagnani, Tushar Kapoor imran Khan Adar Jain list bhut lambi hai
Wohi to bhai 😊🙄@@naushabatalat1332

Ananya Pandey or Sara can't act either. Now Suhaana and Khushi are testing audience s patience. Yeh dukh kahe khatam nahi hota be?😢😢😢

Real.
Very true. They expect to be showered with love and be worshipped as soon as they step into the industry with their debut movie. A lot of them. have that kind of attitude where they feel like the public owes them everything.
Well said ❤
oh my god. this is a very very good point. i never looked at it that way. this is so true. it's very similiar to how these celebrities open their own brands and they they flop after a few years. they're not actually working or putting effort into them, no, they just want the success or fame/longevity which comes with it.
If you work hard and deliver, star kid or not, you deserve applause.
Example: Hrithik Roshan.
Exactly. Hritik Roshan is star kid done right. Banda saalo mein ek-do film karta hai but jab karta hai to kya aag karta hai 🔥
all the star kids born in 70s and early 80s can actually act and they did their best and got somewhere.

I agree with you 100%. I didn't even consider this as struggle.
But I am not against nepotism. I am not going to spend my money for my neighbours kid... So this is okay..

true indeed
Nobody hates good actors..Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Rishi Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and the list goes on..they all are star kids yet are loved so much coz they are great actors
Exactly why dont star kids start theater at schools. You know when you do theater like especially marathi and south and bengali theater you learn a lot of things about making a artistic product.. about acting..
Why don't they act in smaller independent projects. Like Babil khan
Many national award winning actors come from theater backgrounds
Why do they need to be launched? As a star.. as a leading actor.. start small like many other today's big actors
Lke rachel zegler received snow white after she has acted in many other projects and proved herself
very true. Hrithik Roshan's debut was a hit for the very fact that he actually had the charisma and skills to back up for him. i know nobody is safe from criticism and nepo kids might get hate one or another, but they can definitely try harder.
Ananya pandey did very good acting in gehraiyaan. At the end it all depends if they gave a hit film or not
Points raised by Priyanka and early Kangana are still valid. Also 1:38 sums its up.
One must also raise that being a female outsider appears to have different challenges for male outsiders.
indeed they are
Most nepo kids don't go to NSD or work in theatre/drama to hone their skills, craft like struggling outsiders & spend most of their teenage life partying, enjoying their privileges & then they're directly launched in bjg budget film where they do surface level acting, if film flops they blame that just cause they're born into privileged family they're not liked
Exactly. A fine point made.
Some did take theater classes (more the ones who work in hollywood) and they still s*ck at it 😅
exactly, not all new nepo kids are hated. ex: junaid khan who is Aamir khan's son has proved it in his debut movie maharaj tht nepo's if had a good foundation and training, they have a great potential and hence wouldnt be trolled like others and rather get praised for just their skills.
“Ho sakta hai ki tum khush ho ki tum unke jagah peh nahi ho”
Nahh bruv they still have better lives than most of us
People don't have problems with Nepo kids, But when a guy like Aditya Roy Kapoor gets 10+ movies without giving a single hit, It becomes a point of concern
yea because it's not abt him getting those opportunities...it's the fact that those opportunities don't exist in vaccum, for an underserving star kid to get a movie, chances are very high that an outsider struggling didn't get it. and it's disrespectful when these ppl refuse to acknowledge it.
He does act well you can't comment on his acting his acting in ashiqui 2 Malang night manager was appreciatable

I never felt anything genuine in what they say, it feels like they are serving a cooked up story to get the audience to like them because the audience are the cash cows that can be easily manipulated.
how do you know what they secretly want? it maybe true for one but segregating everybody in the same category is seriously not wise.
Like I totally agree with you! You have to agree growing up in a middle class background rather than that of a rich family is very different
Nepotism can't coexist with talent. So we don't want nepotism we want good talent like Sushant who is in grave.
well it can...and it can be seen in other sectors as well. it is very prominent- businesses are passed down, people refer their friends n family for jobs etc.

I don't like many star kids, they have it easy entry in cinema industry while many Hardworking talented unknown person are ignored.
There were times when I have been the one criticising but later I said when I do not watch their Movies I don't know anything about them I must quit saying anything bad about anyone.

South star also same they give mass movie but some time they give well made movie like Dangal,Bahubali1and2, animal, Rockstar stc

Nepo kids should always remember this, and think before taking this field for profession.
..as simple as that
Edit(reply of 5cmmt): Yes, it's simple.
Not that simple though

I don’t understand why only Bollywood is targeted
@@hydragaming4265i think one of the reason Bollywood is being targeted is that it doesn't have one cultural root ,

They went through a lot, Kangana and Deepika the Devils in disguise in both of these talented actors cases, still they made it to the top and will continue to be their,
KYUKI END OF THE DAY, KUBAT AUR KABAILIYAT AUKAAT BANATI AUR BADHATI HAI.

Because those 4 outsiders were not cast in Lead roles!!! 😂
Just like dialogue from wolf of Wall Street,i better face the problem with wealth star kids have than an average middle class person faces

I am so impressed by the incisive depth. What a lot of research and understanding must have gone into the topic on your part! Kudos

He has studied film-making and method acting at the School of Visual Arts and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. After that he has done role of additional director in movies. Then he took acting job
Vety important video. People online always cry on equality, empathy and fighting for right but we are eventually lacking more empathy nowadays.
Excellent video. Video definitely pose a different picture of nepotism.

The point is despite the struggles many of them choose to become actors. So obviously it is worthwhile.

Nepotism is a tragedy because it takes opportunities away from talented actors, so it’s really difficult to feel sorry for privileged children regardless of social media when have it 10 times easier than I struggling artist.
The main problem is that for start kids they have to atleast do minimum the average acting of well established stars
But they dont have such experience of became main lead of film
I think media has a big role to play in this. The way they chase starkids for pics, reaction, they create an illusion to these children that the world is crazy for them and just waiting for them to be launched, whereas the reality is that the world is waiting for them to fail because they are privileged.
