Marvelous little video. You two did a great job. I've got 13 interior doors to do for our house. We're going with six-panel, Jeld-Wen Composite for most of them and we were going to contract the job out. After watching your video and the cool tools from Ryobi, I'm going to give the job a try myself and at 73 years old, it's not something I'd normally even want to do. Thanks again for the information and inspiration.
Buy the doors closer to the right size and you won’t have as much work to get them in.

Nice DIY video on door slab replacement. Pre-hung is nice but most times it's too much worry of destroying trim or what not. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, enjoyed watching, shall have to get some those Ryobi jigs, they look really handy, especially being able to line up the latch mechanism with the strike plate so easily.

This was a great find and perfect timing my product next week is to do 3 doors to old frames love the gig for handles going to get that but its chisel and hammer for the hinges my budget won't go to router and the other gig , so happy I found your channel going to binge what see if there are some more gems awaiting me, . I’m not a fan of ryobi tools, but that door install kit is a nice setup for a diy project. A lot of thought went into that set to make it all so user friendly.

Now I know what to ask for Christmas... Does the door latch install kit/tool work on MDF door frames? I noticed some of my trim is a mix. I tried doing MDF once,and found it difficult.
Bah I answered my question somewhat... this only works on the door and not the frame. Some of my door frames are MDF and difficult to work with, to get a nice strike plate install.
Yea if the door frame is damaged I would just pull it out and replace the whole thing with a new pre-hung door.

I believe that was a circular saw you used to cut the bottom and top of the door? What was that attachment to it? And did you have to glue both ends when trimmed it?

How long does it take to complete this job?
2 days to paint the door and 1 hour to install.
That's great but most people replacing a door won't have a jig or router so I'll look for ones that use wood drills and chisels . Great work though
