- Why did I NEVER change these Session settings!? For my past couple Session videos, everyone has been telling me to change some of my Session settings but for some reason I had just been putting it off. I FINALLY got around to changing some of my Session settings and it made the game feel SO much better. Mainly just adjusted my pop height and my push force, but with a couple other minor tweaks, the game feels amazing.

1. Put your flip and scoop rotations setting on input speed and not on auto, that way you can 360 flip to grind MUCH easier and it flip a bit faster.
2. There's two ways to land without bouncing, first you can use the 50-50 input instead of one joystick to catch it, it help a little for the bouncy hardflip landing.
You can flip and catch as usual mid air and redo the catch input JUST before hitting the ground. Otherwise i don't think it will be fix before they update the engine to Unreal Engine 5.

It's cool seeing him go in depth in a map, like the only spot left he hasn't seshed is the roof spots there.
Question, do you know about the "side pop"? When you approach a rail for example, you can slightly angle the stick down say towards the rail at like 5pm or 7pm instead of directly straight down (6pm) on the pop foot/stick, and it will make you pop over the rail in a sideways motion. When I do it I can actually see the pop foot in more of a scoop or inside position on the tail rather than the direct back of it. That would have helped with the impossible nose blunt on hollywood high. Try it!
there’s a setting called side impulse i think and the higher you have it cranked up the easier it is to angle your boadd

They will fix gameplay and add stuff when the transition to UE5 is complete. Adding more stuff before transitioning will only add more stuff to break because of transitioning.
Set gravity to 16 I find 16 the sweet spot for realism😎

Fun fact: If you try to do a double varial heel, sometimes the legs will glitch into the ground and he will be flung up into the air. This only works on the school map though.

I’ve been experimenting with gravity cranked almost all the way. Am I crazy or does it feel more realistic? I look at real footage of flat ground treflips and the air-time looks so much faster, snappier than it feels in-game. Session is leagues weightier than Skater xl, but I feel like it still looks kinda slow-mo compared to real footage

Gotta go to the in game shop to buy the new object dropper items. DLC items are free (in-game), but ironically the free items have to be bought (in-game).
I wish you could at least share object dropper configurations. It'd be the closest thing to officially supporting custom maps. Clearly the game has a way of tracking what objects are where and instantly loading them, so I'd imagine it wouldn't be too hard to just load in somebody elses custom DIY spots. You can get so creative with DIY spots, but the object dropper isn't the most user friendly, so sharing could at least let people see what's possible.
I disagree with the impossible fix part you can’t wrap vertically and I think they look more love shove it’s, sorry I don’t own the game but tried a demo
If you use the mod manager, you can go to the settings there and change the max amount per object for the object dropper. I set mine to 1000 so I never have to recall anything.
One thing i wish they would update is the push speed it needs to be more free flowing and the triggers need to be tweaked or have adjustable deadzones like on my custom controller it doesnt quite pickup the deadzones makes turning into tricks annoying. The push speed is ridiculous i need to up it when skating uphill spots to rails or ledges which is realistic but i wish it would automatically change for when you skate transition or etc. The shaped boards is something really sick to play around with also.
Watching you push from a stand still is painful, double tap A while standing to run and then y to jump on your board will set you up for your tricks way easier and more realistic ( besides the missing throw down animation )
There are blackriver obstacles and you can build a legit skatepark now. Please make a video building a park :D
Man you really have to get more in your settings and reply start dialing it in. The fact of the matter is they have fixed a lot and animations are looking way better but a lot of that relies on how much effort you put in those settings. Also they just announced they are switching to unreal 5 but it will take time. Jl talks about it in a new video he did
They are upgrading the game engine to Unreal 5 and they said its gonna be this year. Hopefully the animations will come with that 🎉
skate 3 has wear on the clothes man and shoes im 30 i have played every skating game made

There is a pair of shoes in game that the sole gets dirty I'm pretty sure😮

I think I’ve figured out what bugs me about the animations so much. It’s the arms. They stay down by your side no matter what you’re doing. If they could fix that the game would look so much better

Session Game said that the reason they havent fix the bugs are that they are transitioning to Unreal Engine 5, and the bugs are expected to be fixed then.

U can make wear show on ur clothes, it's in the wear and tear settings next to board wear setting

Is anyone else running into the problem of the game freezing and crashing sometimes when you run into a wall or pop onto a rail but clip
i get that only after installing mods and as far as i know it requires a fresh reinstall of the game itself to fix it.

@@joeybologna666i thought that as well but it actually isn't too bad after getting better. i just became cautious of walls and completed the main missions before reinstalling. might keep dealing with it now since i love the mods and don't want to bother for a third time unless there's a sure-fire fix out there. you can also cheese them faster with tony hawk tier stat adjustments if you wanted.
can't believe there's still no cloud saves for the game.

I just got Session coming from SkaterXL, I'm finding it super hard to anything I can just about do a Ollie, Kickflip and their opposites but I'm finding it so difficult. Idk if I should keep going or get a refund?
JL Nightmare has a video for some easier stat settings. once you get used to them you can slowly tune the settings back to default, or mess around and find what's best for you.
game has an intimidating learning curve and you will bail constantly so just take it one step at a time, the controls are rough but there's a logical consistency to them. i've put in 70 hours the past 2 weeks and the gradual improvement is satisfying.
@@WhackaBaka Yeah I just played some more there I'm getting the hang of it but like you say A LOT of bails. I will have to check out that video. I do like the game though it feels nice to get something clean in it. I also love how there is a grind scratches and board snap options (I couldn't get it to work on SkaterXL this past time of getting back into it). Thanks for the video rec I will check it out and hopefully be able to improve a long the way as it does weirdly feel nice since I feel like Session is more technical like for grinds the amount of times I have done a trick to then not input anything for the grind is crazy lol
It takes some getting used to coming from XL for sure. I used to HATE Session cuz the controls felt so wrong. After fine tuning your settings and getting a bit more comfortable with the game, I think you’ll love it
@@GarrettGinnerGaming Yeah the controls do feel so wrong but it does feel nicer when I do land the 1 out of 100 attempts lol. I'm trying to learn how to tailslide and I just can't get the lock on right (Tho I still need to tune the settings)
@@GarrettGinnerGaming Finally got my Tail/nose slides down, I just got it last night then done about 100 of them and just tried again today and I still got it. It's a game that I weirdly just want to be good at idk why and feels nice now I can do something (that was way easier than I though I was rotating like I would in SXL when I just needed to do what the control said basically straight on). I can't wait to get the rest of my IRL board setup as I have wanted to learn how to skate since a kid as since the Skate games came out but always had the 'walmart' board (I also wanted a backyard skatepark and I think that might have been how I found you and I see in the UK there is a similar company/might not be as good but still naturally I want some ramps even tho I can't really skate yet lmao)

Can you turn down the ambience audio, it sounds like a fan is in the background or a busy freeway. Great vids brother, the session content is always fire. Edit: At 10:14 when you fall and zoom in or at 10:40 when you are in the replay editor, thats the background noise im talking about just to be clear
