It's so sad that the actor, playing Torgo, killed himself at just 25, literally days after the movie. As odd, as it may sound, there is something tragic about his character even in these scenes.
"Why does every frame of this movie look like someone's last known photograph?" - Best line from MST3K.
The best part of the movie is where they go back to the house. “Let’s go back to the house, they will never think of looking for us there.” Absolutely brilliant plan!
The reason for the needless jump cuts was that the camera they used could only film about 30second takes at a time - so each time there a cut its because they ran out of footage. Plus the camera couldn't record sounds - so they have to overdub everything. Guess the director heard Orson Welles never recorded live sound and looped everything and said to himself, hey I'm just as good as Welles now
Apparently the reason the Doberman was on a chain was that he was too friendly with everyone to be intimidating otherwise
"You cant stay, the master wont approve!!" He says as he takes the luggage
"Mike, i'm scared. Its getting dark." Looks like its about 2 PM. ... LMAO
BTW, it took me decades to figure out that Torgo's legs are so big is because he's supposed to be a satyr but there's never a reveal.

This movie seriously hasn't even been edited. I swear they just put all the footage together and called it a day.
The Master and Torgo were just minding their own damn business when that idiotic family crashed their place. Get 'em all Manos!!!!

Manos is a very very bad movie. It might even be the worst. However you can't deny it has an atmosphere of dread, which you want in a horror movie. The painting, dog, awful music, even the weird cuts, bad adr, poor image quality, etc all make the experience strange and somewhat scary.
The Master wouldn't approve.
It’s great when you talk about bizarre bad movies. This feels like it could take place in the ‘Death Bed: The Bed That Eats’ universe.
You know what I've always wondered about? The books.
