    I was able to hold myself back and not add gold this time! Who is proud of me? Lol

      @janinemcmahon218 Рік тому

      Do some delicate gold. Those details are heavy and would easily get overdone. A little at a time, then some gold wax if it’s too heavy, you can always wipe it back.

      That's so funny. First time viewer here and I kept thinking with the gorgeous details on that piece she's gonna gold foil and gild the heck out of it and it'll be awesome. Well it IS awesome even without gold. Do you have a spray gun tutorial? I got one for Christmas but I'm kinda scared of it.

      This comment is HUGELY underrated. I'm glad it's not in land fill being eaten by bugs or rotting. In another 100 years, someone can choose to strip the paint off, and the wood will still be there.

    Hi sabrina, the painted piece is magnificent. The obviously ordinary wood which this sideboard is crafted from does not do it justice. Pieces like this should be crafted in solid Walnut or Rose wood to give it value and credit to being kept wooden. that would make a wonderful kitchen island, with all those drawers!! I like the color better than wood, but if you had painted it a mid tone periwinkle blue and then powder coated, would be gorgeous!!!!! But that is my personal favorite, I would take it in a new york minute....I have this dream of an unfitted kitchen, that piece in the color I love, with a stile stone (quartz) top in white would be my work island, all those lovely drawers, the height, but I think I might even put some heavy lockable wheels so I would move it around as I would need it.......I don't mind painting pieces that are not true antiques, and even those that are antique may have no other choice but to paint them, the whole key to furniture is to make a piece work for you in this day and age, make use of it keep it out of the dump...if furniture had a consciousness, I think a piece would love an up-do, she would be happy for that face lift, and the most important thing is paint can be removed, so no harm, no foul to me, but girlllllll I thought, when you picked out that st patrick green, I thought, oh dear, she hasn't been wearing her face mask lately and making questionable choices, LOL but then I thought, no this girl has always got a plan, just wait, and yep I was right....like I have been telling my favorite flippers,..."you put lipstick on a pig and made a beauty queen!" loved it.

    NEVER paint over wood unless it is cheap pine and has flaws that can be repaired with wood filler. Paint hides the natural beauty of the wood grain which is highly desirable. Honestly, I have to get used to the color first. But it did look a lot better after you put the powder stuff on it. Like I said, I have to get used to the green first but your work is like always amazing.

    Omg I was expecting a dark green almost freaked out when I saw your green I was very sceptical after two coats but wow what a difference the powder coating made I've never seen that applied before it's amazing your piece looks fantastic what a show piece it's new home will be lucky to have it . Saved from landfill and many more year's left in it . Well done I love to watch you work as I never know what's going to happen I always love a surprise thanks so much for sharing with us. 💞💞

    I am shocked. I did not think I would like this once I saw the green, but this turned out fab .I am all for painting wood by the way. I like to save it too. I think everyone should do what their vibe tells them to do. Great job!
