These pieces are stunning! Mom would have loved them and the work you put into them.I don't paint much now,I slowed down as I am 71 yrs. I have to smile at you girls with the gold, because I used it on most of my projects. In fact I am painting a dresser and night stands now with gold finish.Keep up your awesome work! 😊
Thank you so much!
The fixes you think to do and how to do them reminds me of master furniture makers. Amazing. Your pieces are so beautiful when you are finished.
Thank you so much for the kind words ❤️
Wow! Cinderella shall go to the ball! What a transformation. Bravo Sab, it looks a million dollars 👍💯
Thank you 😍😍😍
I agree ! She is so dramatic with the black and gold🤩
🙏
Like you I also think this is a sexy piece. Great job. Simple and elegant. I actually heard the dresser whisper, “ Thank you”!
I also take the hose to clean some pieces, sometimes you just have too! Beautiful end product.
That was AMAZING! A piece of art! So beautiful! I was blown away!
Thank you so much!
I love working on a project like this, turn it into something beautiful again
It is so rewarding ❤️
Wow! Unrecognizable !
Thank you! ❤️
Nice work. I am doing a similar project and was kinda stuck and doubting myself and you video came up. You are very inspiring. I know there's alot to putting out these videos and I want to thank you for your time as well as your shared talent.
You can do it! And thank you!
Andersonville, Tennessee here! You continue to rock!!
Thank you Tracey! You always leave such nice comments ❤️
Gorgeous transformation.,.this piece is a late 1800s Early 1900s Eastlake Lowboy...I have one very similar with those hand forged pulls....you Definitely Did this beauty Justice with your talented skills ... stunning 🥰👍❣️
Thank you very much! I figured it was at least from the early 1900's. It is always so sad when I see pieces that were once beautiful so beat up
@@SabsRehabs but Look how beautiful this Swan is Now and to Be treasured and loved the second time around....New beginnings 🥰👍
You cannot tell a book by its cover. Personally I think you did an extraordinary piece of magic. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much Sandy 😊
Wow what beautiful dresser
Thank you ❤️
Absolutely beautiful 😍
I think your final piece is lovely and I know you like to use decoupage, but I think this piece had so much character with the engravings on the front and trim, I think you should have used that character to finish it and save your beautiful decoupage paper for another project.
I tried really hard to find a flat front dresser for the decoupage paper but there were none for a reasonable price in my area and this piece was free.
Wow!!! This is GORGEOUS!!! 😍🥰❤
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
That is so gorgeous.
So many repairs and changes to the structure - and love it! You made it all look so easy and stressless. So glad you were able to save the top. That paper is one of my absolute favorites. Going with black on the body really makes it pop. And the hardware keeps it elegant. Love, love, love this project! 💖💖💖
Thank you so much! ❤️ Once I saw the purple paint on the dresser I felt like it took away from the paper and the solid blank made the print pop instead.
Great job! Beautiful 🥰! Thanks
Your work is just awe inspiring. I am always blown away by the hard work you put into each piece and the vision you have for things. This dresser (before) remarkably resembles my personal dresser. It was painted blue when I had it growing up and when I became an adult, a friend who restored antiques refinished it for me. It has a matching mirror also painted blue and just this year, 37 yrs after the dresser was refinished, I finally got the mirror done.
Oh my what a transformation you did really well its beautiful 😍
Thank you very much 😊
Stunning!!
Magic !! 😊
Sab. This is gorgeous. Love it.
Thank you ❤️ 😊 💓
Gorgeous!
This turned out gorgeous 🖤💜
Thank you 😊
Fabulous! ❤
Lovely! 🌸❤️🌸
Love your work! This is stunning! Those drawer pulls!!!
Found your channel recently, so I am catching up on videos. This is beautiful! I do not understand why people even click on the video since it says decoupage in the title and then get mad when you paint and decoupage. Sure, this is an Eastlake piece, but it had been used in a horse barn with no humidity/temperature control and reduced to a pile of lumber by the time you got it. You are not a restoration channel, so they need to stop expecting you to be one. You do beautiful work! For vodka, it is also used with essential oils to make homemade air fresheners or linen sprays, body sprays, etc. I am glad I found your chanel.
Thank you! And thanks for the home freshener tip! I will definitely give it a try!
Lovely!
Love it!
It's beautiful
This is gorgeous now. A lot of hard work, and I am so glad you donated it.

Good job!!
Wahou its sooooooo beautiful ❤
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for the tip on using vodka, now I have a valid reason for having it. The piece turned out sexy. I love it
😂
Amazing
Thank you ♥️
Nice job! I always enjoy your projects.
I love it :)
It’s a beauty
Thank you ♥️
Love it, you, and all your work. You are so inspiring, I sold my first piece last week! Wouldn’t have done it without you. Smootch!
Oh my gosh! Congrats! That is so amazing!
WOW
Imagine going to the store and say "give me a big bottle of the cheapest vodka you have"... 👀👀👀👀
"It's for a project... " 👀👀👀👀👀👀
I would have a laugh if I had to do that.
I'm currently restoring an old Torino car's Wooden wheel. When it was raw it smelled like gasoline station, like those in the middle of the route on a roadtrip haha.
🤣
Soooo freakin Gorgeous !!!!! Absolutely Love Everything about it!!! Love the vodka tip for the smell!!! Does that work on cigarette odor too? Thank you Sabrina❤️🌹❤️
It helps, but if a piece has a strong smoke smell I spray with Vodka, let is dry, and then clear shellac the inside and outside.
I wanted to ask you about chairs you have painted in the past , not this video, but what kind of paint did you use , I'm working on some chairs and I'm stumped on the type of paint that works for dinning chairs , I love working on projects and getting inspired by your videos, thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us
I have used all kinds of paint on chairs. I highly recommend priming them and using an enamel paint. I like Wise Owl One Hour Enamel
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You do beautiful work! Can I ask if you sealed the hardware and legs with something?
Gilding wax hardens after it cures so no need to seal it!
Sabrina, I like and also dislike this video. Like always you do great work and the dresser looks very rich and unique. The dislike comes in that you used a wonderful solid wood dresser for it. That dresser repaired looked already much better. By the way, I had to laugh when you used Vodka on the dresser, does it now smell like an alcoholic dresser? 😂😂😂
🤣 No. Vodka doesnt really have a smell so it just smelled like wood after it dried.
I’m giggling reading this because right now I’m watching this, hung over in bed, after a great night out with my partner, my family and friends. My partner just came into the bed room with a cuppa tea for me, and commented on the smell of alcohol in our bedroom. Now I can say most def it’s not me as I just drink vodka and soda water, and Sabrina said that doesn’t smell. 😆
@@SabsRehabs All you do is beautifull...Believe it!! 👍👍👍
Greetings from Spain😘
I think it came out gorgeous!!! This is something I would love to try. Question. I noticed you used a brush instead of a sponge to apply the poly. Is that because of the decoupage?
I typically use a brush when applying poly for decoupage. Normally I use the sponge when adding topcoat all over, but I didn't have any in stock at the time.
@Sab's Rehabs good to know about the brush. This will be one of those videos going into my saved folder 😉
Sorry but broke my heart to see this sweet antique Eastlake dresser bondo'ed into oblivion when a generic piece of junk could have been used to the same end. II's puzzling that some resale rehabbers have little information about furniture before 70's laminate and the integrity of a truly old piece is the last thing on their mind. I watch restoration and recycled furniture creators a lot, the craftmanship here was fine, but it's a great example of "different strokes"!
I am sorry but did you miss the beginning? This wasn't some priceless antique. Yes it could have been, BUT the top was completely busted and the ENTIRE BOTTOM WAS ROTTED OUT. I dont care how many years of woodworking you have under your belt, a rotted bottom is NOT something that can be restored. Why are you treating me like I am ignorant over some piece of furniture you will never own? It is rude and completely uncalled for. I am not some millennial painting furniture. I have done this for 10 years ans yes I do repair antiques WHEN THERE IS ACTUALLY SOMETHING WORTH RESTORING!!!!!
WHY DID YOU PAINT IT AFTER ALL THAT WORK!!!!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I didn't mind that you painted an older piece because it was in such rough shape. However the decoupage is too much. It looks tacky. All in the eye of the beholder I suppose.
I didn't mind that you commented. However, calling my work tacky is too much. All humans aren't taught manners, I suppose.
Why☹?
Because it is mine and I can do what I want with it. 😘
