A tip for preventing foam after cleaning the filter: After rinsing thoroughly, soak the filter[s] in @ 1/2 cup white vinegar in about 2 gallons of water for about 5 minutes....then rinse again. This will neutralize the foam-causing agents!! Works on carpet shampoo recovery tanks too! Avoid buying the expensive "Anti-Foam" when you rent a rug doctor. Put a splash of white vinegar in the recovery tank--NOT mixed with the shampoo--and you won't have any foam!!
Great video. Thanks. I just bought a used "Jetsetter" by hot springs. I have not taken possession of it yet, so can you tell me the type of filters that come stock? Tri x?
this video does NOT show me how to clean my filters. it just tells me that I should BUY a new one from you. I have had a couple sets of filters in my tub for the past 20 years and I have a system of actually CLEANING them so that they don't need to be replaced with new expensive ones all the time. A pressure wash, diluted Clorex bath, drying and then they're like new.
Ceramic! HaHaHaHa. Not ceramic, a false term in the industry. Porex makes a plastic that is puffed like a marshmallow. Hmm. Oregon Hot Tub... aren't you the guys that state a 115V Jetsetter, Prodigy, or Sovereign plugs into a standard 15A outlet? And I think you are the guys that also claim ozone spas are chlorine free spas, even though the owners manual states "Unlike popular belief in the industry, ozone is not a stand alone sanitizer".
Hi, I have a hotsprings Stride spa which is a plug and play model with 1 pump and 1 filter, can I use the tri-x filter in this model?

Fiber. I have a "Jetsetter". Love it. Hate the Ace Salt System.....only lasts @ 18 months then needs to be replaced at nearly $1,000 with labor!!!
Purchase equivalent filter on Amazon: PWK30 from Pleatco. As good or better than HotSprings for @ 1/2 the price.
what is the trick to pulling out the filter?
Whoop!!

Call Lonnie at Oregon Hot Tub. LOL...
I'm disappointed we didn't get to see the comparison of how less 'buoyant' the old filter was vs the new filter.....hmmm? I call BS!
