- This is Dark Souls 3: Archthrones. A massive new mod for Dark Souls that feels like a brand new game! The Archthrones mod adds new bosses, npcs, quests, areas, armor, items, and everything else you can think of to Dark Souls. For this reason, I will be calling it Dark Souls 4 until Fromsoft finally drops the next game in the series.

THIS IS A MOD?! Holy. If somebody told me this is a Dark Souls DLC, I would absolutely believe them. That quality for a mod is astounding.

That pyromancer lady in Carthus has the Black Knife Assassin moveset. It's kind of cool guessing what game these enemies come from.

Been having a blast with this even with some of them difficult being a little difficult. Farmed a bunch of large titanite shards and today I will see how much of a difference those bosses feel at +6 instead of +3.

@@itsSpicyGaming Sorry for not replying, UA-cam typically informs me when someone responds to my comments but to answer your question, (although late) in the area past in the Ivory Tower in Eleum Loyce there are enemies that can be farmed for large titanite.

This looks excellent, i'm downloading DS3 again right now to give it a try.
The difficulty does look a bit "Dark Souls is hard lol" but i hope it isn't like that once i get in to it.
Difficulty got better after I found some upgrades. Smithing stones were hard to come by but they've since patched a lot more items in and balanced bosses better. Definitely worth a playthrough!

Not completely sure. Could try playing offline and make sure the game is down patched to 1.15
Mods for DS3 breathes tons of new life into DS3 for me. My first time playing through DS3, I honestly didn't care too much for it. I recognize how 'good' of a game it is, but I had a lot of sticking points which makes the experience not very fun for me. Convergence gave me back that sense of entertainment and fun I was missing from DS3. I hope Archthrones does the same when it fully comes out or however.

As much as i appreciate gigantic work done towards art direction and general modding/modeling done with adding all of this, the mod feels like it wasn't playtested before demo launch by even devs themselves
Its unreasonably painful to play, out of every possible boss, the only reasonable one is golem because his moveset isn't too crazy, and 2 bloodborne boss reskins, but then you literally get
2 crucible knights boss, godskin boss, GREAT OWL BOSS (that damages you a lot with his kick btw), sekiro assasin with Isshin attacks and most importantly
Sekiro Monk boss which is mandotary to get +4 and more btw, you only get large titanites after her.
idk, it also doesn't feel expanding on souls mechanics as much as it is trying to, well, add everything other games had into DS3 and see if it works.
Elden ring reuses a lot of animations from previous games, but enemies also get their own movesets up to those old moves, like fire monks getting smough jump or leyndell knights being lightning infused warriors.
Make a bunch of original movesets and expanding mechanics? These are just modders they don't have a budget of millions💀

Even then, im not asking for creating new movesets, my main problem is how difficult it is non-mechanically, and that makes it so all of this is known enemies that are unfair. Its the enemies i've beaten many times and now they are just not pleasant to fight.

Im criticizing mod for what it is, if mod sucks to play, what should i do about it? Just stay "ah its just a mod i shouldn't care about it" or actually look into fundamental problems this mod has and how they played out for me? Im not making negative comments like "devs should commit obtaining dark sigils", im geniuanly disappointed in how it played out in demo.
I think mod will be in much better state if it gets tweaked numerically at least, but also amount of reused animations from sekiro on bosses (or bloody crucible knights) doesn't make mod that great, well, in my opinion, hopefully people will find it interesting for themselves when mod is done.
I keep forgetting that it's not just ds games, they got sekiro, Bloodborne and elden ring mobs too like this is actually sick , the only problem is that it needs to be more balanced and just some bugs to be fixed, i still give it 8/10
Fighting the godfrey boss with an UGS without crouch pokes and jump attack is a pain
At this point, these guys should just create their own IP and sell it. This is far too much talent for a mod.

Honestly this mod just looks too hard. Those boss fights seemed more frustrating than anything.
The balancing was fixed in 2 emergency patches. Won't see any more until the full version. It definitely leans towards players who has already played the base game though.

FromSoft has over 300 Employees, spend millions on games, spend years on games, but you expect a handful of modders to easily produce completely new content?
@@adjuax Bloody obvious the sekiro asset flip, and doesn't even really seem to fit.
Never said it was easy but it's usually better than just ripping from Sekiro when you can actually try and attempt to hand craft enemies and bosses
@@adjuax hes not entirely wrong though, basically all the bandit npcs in the desert area are just sekiro minibosses with a new model and maybe 1 new move
