"Don't be sad that the series ended and that the characters' tales are over. Smile because you got to follow them on their journey and watch them grow."
That's what this song says to me.
CheapytheHutt Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.
It been about 6 years now and this ost still makes me cry
Me too
Toph526 you're not the only one my friend :3
11 years now. Does it still make you cry?
@@Ticcy12
I'm sad to say no but it does make me smile as I tear up a little while looking back with pride. The question is will it make me crying after I rewatch this scene for the 150th time on netflix. I'm 110% know I will.
Toph526 which scene is this song from?
The first song ever to give me this strange feeling in my stomach^^
+RaZe Sharky Ya same one of the first 5 or 6 years ago. Now Legend of Korra does it a ton.
The music gives you ghis sort of bittersweet feeling. The war is over and the world can finally begin to recover but the scars left behind will never truly fade. That's the vibe I get.
Came here for some feels after finishing Korra.
x3
this show... will forever be in my childhoods greatest memories department. No amount of stars, thumbs up, rewards can gauge the level how well done this show was made. I am so glad i got to watch this story come alive and see the end of its days. I will show my future children this and hope they will come to love it as much as i have.
Avatar the Last Airbender was hands down, the best show I've ever watched ever. The plot, the whole concept of bending and the use of martial arts and the cultural lore makes the show unique in it's own way. The music really captivates the whole thing, this show really has everything. It's fantastic in almost every aspect.
Its only once in a lifetim that a show with such fenominal production value comes along. Everything in this show, writing, character designe, animation, and especialy music, far exceeds anything hollywood has done in a long time. The depth of the story, the complexitys of the plot, environment, and characters, and the overwelming emotional journey the show is capable of taking us on is amazing. And it was all done by a "kids" network. Phenomenal.
Well its sort of tough to make something even better after you've already created something so amazing.
2:22 just wrecks me and teleports me back to 2007, an eight year old girl watching the finally with my late godmother.
Im 14 and half my life ago i watched avatar....it played on nick toons and i watched it a bunch. I dont remember watching the fjnale tho just the day of black sun. recently i rewatched it and when i saw the finale i was blown away. ig i skipped the finale
Yes it does have an unbelievable amount of depth and emotions. I especially love the art work. This is how you put forth effort into a masterpiece!
This has been the greatest show ever created. Its weird to say but this has changed my life a lot. It has so much meaning behind it. The music, the characters, everything, is just so powerful. The Legend of Korra in my opinion will live up to The Last Airbender. I saw Aang's statue in Republic City and cried. I mean I cried a lot actually. I want to be able to show all Avatar to my kids and let them see the beauty. It is a masterpiece. Nothing will live up to Avatar. Long live Aang and Korra!
This entire show was a pure work of art. it was a new and awesome way to depict the unity of the four elements. Of unity as a whole, really.
Why can't there be more shows like this!?
I cried during the last bit of the last episode for Avatar: the Last Airbender, and a very large part was because of the music. The beginning showed us that the hardships the Gaang had to face had been overcome. The part where it builds reinforced the watcher's belief that peace really had been achieved. The ending reiterated the main theme, reminding the fandom exactly how epic the journey had been, and that it was over, forever. Also, "All hail Firelord Zuko" ?
BRB TEARBENDING FOR LIFE.
I really love this show. This piece always made me cry. The FINALE made me cry. I'm so sad its over :( Avatar will forever be my favorite show ♥
This show....will always be my favorite show. It is the best show, because it has the best fighting, the best plot and the best music! Nothing can beat this show! *begins to sniff* this show really changed me....okay enough crying. One last word or two AVATAR ROCKS!
wow! not many cartoons have these kind of endings along with wonderful music! Avatar was really something else.
Why are so many people saying how sad they are because it's over? Yeah, the series isn't going anymore, because the story came to an end. We all loved watching the characters we loved learn and grow, and growing right along with them. Avatar is not just a show; it's a LEGACY. And that legacy, as long as we remember it, will never be over. And we can always re-watch and love the series!
I wish we played something like this when I was in my high school's orchestra. It would have been the best high school concert ever.
What amazed me about the avatar series is that they managed to make it so feely without killing anyone off... Take that Steven Moffet!!!
this music is conveying so many emotions I cant stand to listen to it because of the nostalgia that overwhelms my very soul
Agni, I love this song. Just makes you remember everything every one went through -- and that everything was now peaceful.
I'm crying listening to this I can never get tired of avatar!!! I'm getting more people into it so I have an excuse to watch it all over again :')))
Was definitely a great series! I loved watching it for the long time that it ran. I have a lot of nostalgia towards this series, that I even watched all of LoK's 1st season. Made me miss Team Avatar for sure!
You and the others at your base win the Internet. Yes, all of it. Thank you for your service and I hope everyone returns safely.
yes! i finally found this piece! thank u soooo much for posting this!!! its my favorite in the whole series!!
I'm just glad they continued with the lore of this series and created something brand new. Heaven knows TV and cartoons needed a breath of fresh air and the LoK is just that.
Part of me doesnt wanna leave dis show.... da feels, da feels... - 2:22 - 2:53
I feel you.
I'm 18 and I still watch episodes in my spare time just cuz it's so amazing. The plot is so unique, the characters are wonderfully developed from Sokka who makes us laugh so much but is one of the bravest leaders in the entire saga to Zuko who is a tortured soul and essentially embodies the human condition, Toph the strongest person in the show who doesn't let her disability bring her down but makes her stronger, and everyone else (not enough characters to mention). I miss this show so much.
I have all three books on DVD and i was having a marathon this spring break because of Korra, and I was also reading Inheritance, I finished the book the day before season 3, and this song goes perfectly for both endings.
This show was one of the most beautifully written, artistically designed on television. It was better than many adult dramas. It's far up on my list, right next to LOST. Possibly surpassing it.
In any case, long live Fire Lord Zuko.
2:22 is where the main Avatar theme comes in, i never heard it like this before. its amazing, almost reminding us that this epic show is coming to a happy ending then comes the music that plays where Aang is healing the earth, all so wonderful. Long live Avatar: The last airbender and the ideas it has given its so many dedicated fans!
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that's been strongly impacted by this show=)
To me it is. It is the most intricate, and I'm sure the most complex one there is. Anyone can make a comedy show. Animations require hard work, and voice actors. I would have never guessed they would have made this the way it is. This IS the best cartoon ever made.
2:22 is oddly similar to the soundtrack played in "Bean: the movie" when they revealed the painting "Whistler's Mother". Oddly similar. (Man, people talk about feels and all, and here I am comparing sondtracks)
yes i agree :o
Right in the Feels! My heart! Especially the swelling strings, and the little trills...
Um, no, I'm not crying. I.. I just have sand in my eyes.
I never really had any strong emotions when The Legend of Korra came out. I was excited to have something new besides the Gaang (even though I miss them). But then I listened to this, and all of these overwhelming feelings came to me. I can't stop crying.
my bird died today after being with her for 9 years.....i feel like ive lost my best friend, so this song for today is my farewell to her....R.I.P baby.
Gaahhh, just so beautiful and powerful and life-affecting, like everything about this show. Someday, I will rock my babies to sleep with this song in the background. I will keep the legacy alive forever. Long live Avatar!
Its message should be known to everyone:P It's my favorite show ever too. And, thank you, for everything you do.:]
@Pevensify I here that! So long as there are fans, the Avatar Cycle will never end. There must - and will - always be an Avatar.
I couldnt stop smileing and felt teary in my eyes when i heard this song : )
I always get so emotional at the end of the finale. Idk why but just seeing the great journey come to an end makes me happy and very sad at the same time.
What attracted me most to this series is the wuxia element in it... and with a twist!
The way the Writers literally made Aang cleanse the world at the end by water bending away the fire was a nice touch.
wow jazukai, couldnt have put it better my self! truly amazing!
crying waterfalls! Long Live Avatar Aang
@jensengirl94 When I finished Avatar for the first time, I must have spent about five minutes just sitting on my couch in awe, trying to catch my breath and stop crying. I kept contemplating what I would do from then on, and then I went, "Ah, the heck with it! I can't stop watching Avatar!!" And then I went straight back to The Boy in the Iceberg and watched them all again in about two weeks.
I plan on having this song played at my wedding. It's just so beautiful! =)
this is the best song ever! it makes me want to cry so much
Can't think about anything else but the end of the show. Awesome.
Truly a work of art.
Uncle Iroh was the best character. Seeing General Iroh in LoK made me and many others very happy.
3:10 ♥ I can't describe how much i love this song and the show.
You, sir, have made my day with that comment. I don't know. You're awesome. Respect.
So I'm writing a fanfiction and i'm using the music to help set the mood and seriously I have NEVER found a piece that fit so much in my life. i might have to downlaod this and make a video of it because i'm so in love with it :D
Gosh... here come the tears again. Why, Avatar? Why do you turn this to me? You turn me into a babbling idiot, and I love every second of it. =')
When I heard this song, and saw Aang and Zuko standing beside eachother while Zuko gave this speech, I was seriously on the verge of tears. 'Cause I knew it was really over. :[
Just my opinion, but I don't think the Legend of Korra can top the original.
Why does it have to be over? 😢😢😢
i always find myself starting to cry at 2:21. gah this show brings me so many memories!
I love this series so much :) I hope the studio that makes it make another one like this ^0^
2:44 is think is what you mean chewycandies... But this series has got to be the greatest series ever made. It is appealing to a somewhat older audience even though its target age is 12 year olds. This song at 2:44 gave me shivers down my spine as I reflected on Aang's, Katara's, Sokka's, and Toph's journey together. One of the most well-rounded shows that combined love, comedy, action, and plenty of adventure. Avatar: The Last Airbender is a series that I wish will never end.
One person disliked this... Why, it's so beautiful.
(without the movie preferably) I want nick to broadcast the show instead of the new, average shows that are all the same (icarly, victorious, whatever). I want future generations to know the beauty that is this show, you can be damn well sure if I ever have kids they will be watching this. I want to thank the creators and nickelodeon for this show, I want the creators to get what they deserve, this isn't just a kid show, I've learnt so much from it, this show is just pure, utter genius. Congrat
@Deathofblades I also see it as representing the season that the story is happening in. Water took place during the winter, with the winter solstice and everything. Earth was in the spring, and Fire was in the summer with the summer solstice.
Avatar is the only series I need.
this song gets me near to crying every time i love it
too bad we have to wait an entire year for season too, but it has been worth the wait so far.
@madlexx The books are based off of when Aang learns his elements. Water was the first as he learned water. Earth was because he learned earth. Then Fire was when he learned Fire. Air was already learned as he is an airbender and throughout the whole series, it flashes back to his past.
the most relaxing song of avatar :)
@TendancyToFloatAway Certainly the best thing to come out of the American cartoon industry.
Although short, it was an incredible series
I grew up with this, I'm crying while listening this song, because it was the end soundtrack :C
This song is perfect for a great sleep.
brilliant! epic no words to put it!! The whole thing, series, music, amazing
3:12
@Pevensify And honestly I fall in love with the series every single time I watch it again. I am always going to be a fan.
@Pevensify I get what you say ,but in defence of the people that don't accept what you say:
We grew attached to the characters and if you attach yourself to something you never want it to end. It's not a shock ,it's a blow to the stomach to the die-hard Avatar lovers. We all had to get over it ,and that's what everyone should do...
i'm glad this show happened in my lifetime.
I remember watching the whole series when it was still on tv. Now I've got the reruns, and Korra.
Watch this show, they said.
It's a children's show, they said.
WHAT CHILDREN'S SHOW INVOLVES DEATH AND MURDER AND INSANITY AND HONOR AND LIES AND TRUST AND SHIPPING? SO. MUCH. SHIPPING.
i want to cry.. this was supposed to be the ending part.. now i totally miss this movie... T.T
@zomgitsadognamedcat the story's from the US, the drawing and animation were done by Koreans. even if it isn't anime, it was still done by Asians and Westerns together
The part from 2:21 brings tears to my eyes.
It's funny how a show that was meant to be for kids has a far better story than anything I've seen done in Hollywood. Most of the shows and movies I see today don't develop the characters and all that seems to matter is the action scenes and the gore. This show doesn't have the pointless plots of most movies and shows. The characters in this show really grow and change and it doesn't need blood and gore to tell the story. The amazing aspects of this show are really shown in the music.
I'm getting goosebumps from this
OMG the last episode T^T i was so emotional on the lsat episode guys omg. i mean ive been watching the show since i was 8 years old! (im turning 16 in 2 months). this was definately the best series i have ever gotten into...legend of korra is pretty good but i miss the old gang...
it's really awesome!! nothing like the original but it was expected but still really good! wish they traveled around more like in ATLA
A masterful show.
You are doing gods work. Well done.
Gets me a punch in my stomache... Love it so much....
What's this talk about a "korra"? New show?
The music is the coolest! Makes the show even cooler!
Man so sad the show had to end. I wish it would have had alot more episodes! I miss aang, sokka, katara, toph, zuko, iroh, appa, momo, EVERYBODY! D:
the show should have had alot more episodes, it was amazing! hopefully Korra can fill that empty void :(
@TendancyToFloatAway I think he did live long enough. Long enough to produce a descendant anyway. Have u heard of the half-sequel? Zuko's voice actor is voicing a descendant of Zuko's.
If you guys are looking for a sequel to this, get the graphic novel, The Promise. It starts up where it left off with Aang and Katara's kiss. Part 2 of the novel comes out in May and part 1 was awesome.
Maybe one day we'll live in a world of peace..eventually. It's sad that even thinking about it is more like a fairytale than actualilty.
I'm okay, I'm okay, I'm okay... 2:43 *starts crying* I am NOT okay! Why did this wonderful series have to end? It was my childhood...
This piece sums up a wonderful show, Avatar should have gone on longer and tied up all the loose ends. I want the sheet music to this piece.
@SupernovaTEAMSUNSET Reconciliation nearly brings me to tears every time! The song itself is incredible, but thinking of the scene from which it comes; envisioning Zuko's tear-streaked face just strengthens the affect that much more. :')
Zuko: I can't believe a year ago my purpose in life was hunting you down. And now...
Aang: And now we're friends.
Zuko: Yeah, we are friends.
Aang: I can't believe a year ago I was still frozen in a block of ice. The world's so different now.
Zuko: And it's gonna be even more different. We'll rebuild it together.
*hug*
1. Does Zuko find his mom?
His mother vanished on one night leaving Zuko along with Ozai (I'm sure you all know the story), BUT they never showed what Ozai told Zuko when he said "Where is my mother?"
2. IS Jet still alive?
This is probably one of the most frequently asked question in the whole show. Many people say that he is dead, but honestly this statement isn't true, nor false, it's UNKNOWN. (Stated in 317) But if they are deciding, I bet that there going to make Jet live.
In actuality...
Avatar is an anime. Anime is a style of art created in Japan, yes, but if done so properly elsewhere, it does qualify as such regardless of it being in a country other than Japan.
