I recently discovered that this combines Aang and Zuko's themes. I'm so emotional about this. Zuko and Aang are my two favorite characters in this series, and possibly in my top ten favorite animated characters of all time.
I love it when composers combine the themes of two or more characters. It's something that I've seen used a lot in musicals. I've also noticed that Hiccup and Toothless' themes are often intertwined in How to Train Your Dragon, another one of my favorite franchises!

Me too... I mean: way to many people give crap to Korra, but I liked them both. Yeah, they are different, but both good in their own ways.

I remember hearing this watching the 1st Book 3 trailer for the first time, and HOLY SHIT, chills.....still get 'em. This was a beautifully done track.

Dude...how The Tsughi Horn mix with the Orchestra playing the softer tones relevant to aang and friends...just foreshadows how Zuko and Team Avatar paths cross and become one in Book 3. so fucking powerful

@brickwockeez No, she's waterbender, that's the avatar cycle: water, earth, fire, air so she's a waterbender. Aang and Katara's son's name is Tenzin and he's Korra's airbending teacher.
It's so tempting to do a recut of the trailer for The Last airbender film with this music :P

oh I agree. its greatt to see the reactions. of course... its all kinda of out of context since its a trailer. The trailer makes it seems like a thousand cool things are happending in one episode and that its a wild train ride at top speed.

@1DarcsenOfLegend7 The first season is 12 episodes; the SECOND season is 14 episodes long. (They use this same soundtrack for KORRA's trailer!)

@Hickadooola I know, I'm just glad it's from another Avatar's perspective and not ruining Aang's story and constantly continuing it.
Of course it wasn't just a cartoon, it was more than a cartoon, it was an epic tale, the creators and voices of the characters did this epic tale justice, and someday I want to see a life action movie of this that I can be proud of.

I heard this on the trailer for book 3. Man! I was really taken by surprise with the way book 2 ended. And I couldn’t wait for book 3. It was about a year wait. Now look: 10 years later and I’m waiting for WHAT THE HELL HAPPENS IN AVENGERS 4!!!!

The Legend of Korra is awesome. There are already 3 episodes and I love them. It's also good as the old episodes. It's kinda sad that there'll only be 26 episodes, but I hope they'll continue the series. :)

@horseridingbuckaroo. Actually it wasn't created in 2005, it takes years to make an animated show, it came out in 2005, but they've been working on it for years.

I remember the 1st time I saw that trailer! OMG At first I was like really sad that I thought he died. But then, I see that he is alive and with hair!

LoK focuses on a different world. TLA focuses on a world that did not have the avatar for centuries and badly needed him to end a decade old war. TLA focuses heavily on philosophies that frankly was hard for non eastern religious viewers to stomach. LoK definitely tone down on the religious aspect and focused more on what an avatar would be like when the world is not at war. I personally prefer LTA because of its heavy use of eastern religion and philosophy. That does not means LoK is bad. It too has aspects that makes you think about what it would be like to be the person that every one blames on if you don't side with them. So comparing these 2 to each other wouldn't really do justice. If you are into spiritual aspects and eastern philosophy. LTA will be better. If you are more into socio and geo political issues. LoK would be better.
Aw, I wish we just had ONE special involving the GAang before k=Korra came into the picture. I still miss them, even when Dante Basco assures us that the new "series" will be excellent. For all you naruto fans out there, this soundtrack beats the heck over the music they'll use for the 4th Shinobi War.
Well, Zuko did ask his dad where his mom went at the end of the series... and we still don't know.
So maybe there will be a movie (that isn't live) or side-series about that?

@TylerMcIntyreSC Hopefully. In the original they ordered two more full seasons after seeing how popular the first was doing. Even so, we can tell from the season 1 finale that they didn't plan on ending the story there anyway. Hopefully the do the same with Korra; hopefully they're not planning on just making it a mini-series.
