I've seen alot of fantasy worlds, all of them amazing...Middle Earth, Hogwarts, Yarhnam, Skyrim, Westeros, Thra.....but the four nations found a home in my heart that no others have. I can`t describe in words how much I love "Avatar the last Airbender" I never felt something like this when I finished with a show, it felt so awesome to see how all that ended in a good way but then I realized that it was kinda the last time I will see those awesome and beautiful characters. This entire adventure was so wonderful to watch. It was funny, exciting, sad and breathtaking especially when I first experienced it as a little kid (I was like 10 when I watched it and I`m 17 now) I just wish I could rewatch this series all over again without knowing what comes next. I watched quiet a lot of shows but I can easily say that this cartoon is and will forever be my favorite of all time.

Even though the show seems childish at first, the characters go through tough and devastating times. They learn that to realize your maximum potential, you have to struggle. I think we can all relate to it, especially when we ourselves are moving through a difficult period in our lives. That's why this show has gotten me and other people I know out of depression. It's a true inspiration and masterful show.
It's a mirror to our own lives. A parallel to both our own world and our struggles to be human. Good art, good fiction, it's mostly just looking at the world around you with new eyes and telling the same stories again to draw a new truth from it all. Both were very, dark complex worlds from which the characters had to draw their own light and make a future in. Sounds awfully familiar some days, neh?
Korra is the only main hero character in a series I've seen suffer from PTSD in a very real way (on major television at least). Most of these animated series out today, whether anime or not, have insane other wordly obstacles to overcome and the characters always can psychologically handle all of it, which is complete crap. Korra saves the world twice in a few years and fights 3 opponents hellbent on KILLING her. You don't go through intense hardship in life and forget about it a few days later. The nightmares, the irrational fears, the rational fear of failing those counting on you yet again, those are so real and this series did an incredible job at showing us how to prevail in the face of uncertainty. The messages it delivered were so eloquent and well done, and very mature. This is all ignoring how badass every fight was and that they continued to get BETTER?! This is easily a hall of fame series.
Loveable characters, relatable and detailed writing, top notch animation and sound, excellent voice acting, a beautiful setting, amazing music, perfect chronology as far as timing both the sad and happy moments goes. It's a work of art and you just get so attached to it on an emotional perspective.
Listening to this music makes me want a movie leading to Aang's death. A movie full of his flashbacks of growing up after the series, his life as the Avatar, his life with Katara and his children. I want to see his life's accomplishments and regrets. And at the end, Kora's birth. We got an episode of Roku's life and death in Avatar. I want that for Aang.
I cried so much listening to this. Everyday, I listen to this, but I have never been able to listen to this without crying. The Avatar series truly was the best.
NorthForkFisherman yeah that makes me bawl my eyes, but there's something about service and sacrifice that just takes the cake. It's just....pure emotion.....
Watching the series takes you to a whole different place, man. I feel like im riding appa, or just laying in the grass and hear the ocean crashing to the rocks or in a campfire eating berries with the squad. It makes me feel like im *in* their world and if a show can have that impact to you, its definitely worth loving.
someday when i have a family, i am going to make my kids watch the series. Update: well this blew up hahaha for those wondering hun I’m only 24 😂 I still have my life to live 😆 no procreation yet!
JD ROSE I have mixed feelings about reboots.. sometime they rock but most of the time they destory the good image. I still it's sad that nick didn't continue this show :(
i still have post avatar depression i cry every time i hear the song "change" from Korra. it breaks my spirit i wont get to see more of the characters because they became apart of my heart.
Fair. In my opinion, I feel their writing can't really be compared because they are two different stories with different intentions, just set in the same world with time lapsed. I feel that TLOK was set to display more darker themes. I like how they dared to do so in a kids show because it is necessary for kids to realize that there will be tough times ahead, but they have a role model in Korra to know that things will sort out if you find the right support and do your best to keep moving forward. Depression, losses, not getting what you expect, being shunned by society as a leader... all these, well displayed in TLOK. I love ATLA, don't get me wrong. I love how being so young with 100 years passed by, he can see the differences in the world. The complexity with facing to be someone with such responsibility at such a young age is tough, but he had to forcefully mature himself for the sake of others. How selfish of people to put such responsibility on one person.
lazywagon from my perspective Atla was made in 2008?(don't remember) the writers want to tell us about friendship, kindness, caring and responsibilities.Since we are very young that time we need these kind of things for our pre-teenage life. Lok was aired on the 2014.We are grown up,we need to choose our own destiny as Lok teaches us about ideology which is good for our life and the love interest between characters are more likely for teenagers in that period. In conclusion, the show evolve with us.It is hard to understand what the writers try to deliver but now I understand.Avatar series has teach me a lot of lessons and it is the best animated series in the world
To be fair, one of the reasons that TLOK's writing was hit-or-miss was because they weren't allowed to commit to more than one season at a time. They had to create four self-contained stories instead of one big story. Season 2 was so bad because they had to rush in a half-baked plot that didn't work very well. Seasons 3 and 4 were great though.
@@lazywagon " darker themes " ATLA was dark ,a giant owl trying to kill some kids , literal identity theft , violent human possession, katara's mom to name a few
The thing what i like the most about The Last Airbender is Zaheer wanted Freedom Amon wanted equality Unalaq wanted Balance Kuvira wanted Unity And Ozai wanted everyone to be on fire :")
now as you wrote that, it makes me realize that Zaheer and all those people are a lot alike the Templars from Assassin's creed. They weren't necessarily evil (except for ozai, he was mad with power), just the way they chose to fight for their somewhat honorable causes is controversial and cruel.
Zaheer would be the opposite of the Templars in fact, he would be an assassin, Templars wanted order and piece above freedom, the assassins want freedom
Avatar (especially ATLA, but Korra as well) is just amazing in so many ways. It hits home with both relatable emotions and a plot with ties to modern issues. It illustrates dictatorship with mass oppression and destruction of culture, goes into racism and equal rights and unity with Korra. Plus the avatar universe isn't afraid to be serious enough to smack you in the face with those feels, but it's also lighthearted enough to be considered a kids show and not get super heavy. Avatar is super compelling because it's a believable universe with enough of real life and culture mixed in with the bending that it just pulls you into the story. Avatar also goes into the moral grey areas a lot too- yes the bad guys are bad, and the good guys are good, but both have moments that oppose their respective goodness or badness. Aang is sweet and caring and doesn't wish to hurt others, even Ozai- but he still kills hundreds of people in the Northern water tribe in book 1. Katara is usually sweet but still goes out with Zuko to hunt down the guy that killed her mother. Zuko especially struggles with morals, and is a hugely dynamic character who struggles in the area between light and dark. Korra's baddies tend to be very human and often have tragic backgrounds or good intent with not so great methods. It makes the show very human and very compelling. Add in the music, animating, fantastic universe and plot.... I could probably write an essay on how great this show is but, I'll digress here.
Violet Patina I feel like some day in the future, English teachers will use ATLA and TLOK as literary sources. These two shows have compelling and creative stories, a rich atmosphere and world and best of all, well-made characters with defined flaws (prob not Unalaq but you get the point). Both Avatar and Korra are huge essay materials when you think about it just because of how rich the series is in terms of story and morals.
please just write the essay, I'll freaking grade it. LOL if I were an english teacher I'd assign this show as the summer hw plus a three page essay about why it is so great.
S Orihara I think he may have drowned a few fire nation soldiers in the finale of season 1. But then again, he wasn’t in complete control of himself at the time since he was in the avatar state and was fused with the ocean spirit. I could be wrong tho.
Badger Moles, Diggin' holes Under Republic City Gotta run away from Kuvira's Armey Although I still think she's pretty. Is my personal favorite but let's be honest there are no bad choices here.
Michlle Orteal It's amazing how a story could be so captivating and enchanting... to feel close to charters (people) that you have never met live. Great anime series! Anyone who didn't watch missed out a lot.
Hey Guys! If your reading this Im about to think of making a third remix after this 3 years.. i guess that would fit quiet good. The question is: Should I do it? Then show me! Which songs aren't present in part 1 and 2 until now?
People don’t understand how this show will effect u emotionally and physically for the rest of your life. It has formed me into who I am today. This show is a masterpiece.
It is 2016 now and since 2 years the avatar universe is done. Listening to this reminds me to the good times. I miss Lok and atla. You did an amazing job!!
+LiknadPlays just look at the current cartoons we got. The problem is not Nickelodeon, but the moronic children of this new generation who don't appreciate art like Avatar, but instead like the simple rubbish broadcasted nowadays.
+LuckyBastard You need to calm down there, buddy. After rewatching the series multiple times I still can't understand why you would say she's weak. Is it because she cries? Yikes, everyone does that. She is absolutely badass. Explain to me why you say she's a "weak" avatar.
+LuckyBastard i can't understand why you say korra is weak. yes she was annoying in the first season, but we see her change throughout the story and it makes you connect to her. When i first watched avatar, i thought Aang was an annoying cry baby, but thats the beauty of transition. you see them grow and in a way, you grow with them. korra had ups and downs but she WAS powerful. We saw her break emotionally and physically and she came back 10x stronger. UNLESS you just figured she was weak because she's a girl, then you sir, are the weakest link.
i watch this series at 15. and rewatching it again on Netflix at 24. i got the whole emotion just like when i was 15 when first time i watched this series. i love the jokes, the epic battles, lovely characters, how they bend an element. i still got those feeling even i’m watching this 9 years later. and also i understand clearly every lessons in this series at 24. thank you for bringing this series back Netflix. seriously this series isn’t that childish. i’ll definitely rewatch this again no matter how old i am. so much lesson and bliss watching this.
I never cry at any films or series but i watched avatar the last airbender like 5 times in a row and I had always to cry a lot :( Getting reallly emotional at all :(
MRq Garoshh I loved all the Azula parts ;-) But then again she's my favourite character out of the whole Avatar series! But my favourite part of Azula was either when she has the fight against Zuko on her ship or the fight where Azula kills Aang. ;-D
these emotional melodies ... fantastic ... This music is so sad ... fire she is so calm ... air so left ... water so sturdily rugged ... earth It unites all countries, nations, gender, age, religions and cultures
I am in love with this ... I am in love with this tv series .. my whole childhood was beautiful and interesting due to this piece of art ... Wisdom, Great music, all complicated emotions ... our children really need to grow while watching this amazing thing
If Mike and Bryan were to make another avatar series. We would have to wait 5-10 more years to have another avatar because i think they're busy with their own projects.
Uliana Buslovska yes and that's what I don't like about her.. She was always the super strong avatar, who could use three of the elements as a small kid is able to go into the avatar state so easily. Next to her aang looks like a weak looser...
I love the both of them. Both their stories were so different and I just loved how opposite of each other they were. We had Aang going from a human to a divine being whereas we had Korra going from a divine being to a human. One was a epic hero's journey whereas the other was the complete opposite.
I am just so grateful that Legend of Korra was as good as It was. I remember when I first heard they were making the new series and thinking "oh no - they will never top Last Airbender". And while they didn't top it, it definitely did not disappoint. Both series are some of the best storytelling of our time.
21:05-24:00 I test up every time because that's it! That's the end. No more Avatar. That was the perfect blend of ATLA and LOK for the final episode. Thank goodness Jeremy Zuckerman and the original writers are going this Netflix adaptation with no end date.
Whenever I hear Iroh's theme come on. I feel mournful for some odd reason. I think of him and Zuko together, alone. Just enjoying each other's company in a calming silence.
@@gregoryekisola7130 yeah I could agree with Roku, but not so much with Kiyoshi. I mean what did we really learn about her life, not much I my opinion. Having an earth bender in a more modern setting just trying to find his place and everything might be pretty cool.
Anime Drip I’ve gotta disagree on that bc I feel like Aang and the gaang went through much more character development whilst remaining comedic, lighthearted and revolving around a good plot. Korra’s friends (mako, bolin, and asami) barely even developed. Korra herself went through much change as by the end u can see her trying to act more like Aang, preserving all life and avoiding fights, while the rest of the team does nothing. Bolin learns lavabending but that’s not development lol.
@@ericlu1404 One of the bigger troubles with Korra (aside from it having incredible big shoes to fill), is that the writters where in constant uncertainty whether or not the show would get another season, so twice over they had included a "unnatural" and rushed ending, just to have to pick up from there to continue the story. I think Korra was never going to live up to Atla, but I am really curious what kind of show we would have gotten if the writters were given 4 seasons from the beginning...
I don't think there are enough words to describe how much I love Avatar the Last Airbender. It's one of those shows that no matter what you can't help but like as more and more episodes go by, and by the end you cry and realize how much you fell in love with it, the story, and most importantly, the characters. If I end up having kids, I'll make them watch this show. It's too perfect. This is the kind of class, charm and intelligence I wish ALL children TV shows had. It just ages better when you're an adult. And as I'm writing this I'm about to tearbend. God do I love this show!
Valeria Guerra Yepez did you watch even just the first episode? They immediately tell you korra was stronger lol Aang is wise and Korra is strong thats kinda their whole motif Aang is better in the avatar state because he has a deeper spiritual connection.
@@Lazulii33 lies! aang was literally 12 when he had to master all 4 elements. and he only had what? 1 year to master all 4? im just saying aang had to of been way stronger than korra just because of his early grasp of the elements
The way I could picture every scene with absolute clarity and almost start crying cause how much joy these shows have brought me is beautiful. Thank you for making this!!!
I rewatched this entire series last year tho and I’m like “okay just gotta wait one more year till my memory is foggy again so it’ll be more emotional”
Season one of the last Airbender was just okay, besides the winter solstice, the blue spirit, and the finale, but seasons 2 and 3 make it one of the greatest shows ever made. As for Korra, I feel pretty much the same. Seasons 1 and 2 were pretty rough, but 3 and 4 made that show freaking awesome.
@@monahankids6667 lmao how dare you disrespect kuvira like that. I thought season 1 was ok, but I watched season 4 mostly for the beautiful korrasami dynamic. I also loved the portrayal of mental health and Korra's arc.

@@NamelessKing1597 I've watched this series many many times and as I grow as a person, I notice more things each time I watch it.
what is it that makes this show so powerful to all of us?
IamTenzin Thats deep, and so true. haha.
Loveable characters, relatable and detailed writing, top notch animation and sound, excellent voice acting, a beautiful setting, amazing music, perfect chronology as far as timing both the sad and happy moments goes. It's a work of art and you just get so attached to it on an emotional perspective.
Oh man, this makes me feel things, so many things.....
i so agree with you.
Noodle too...
me too man
This makes me wanna find some woods go out for like a week or two and come out knowing i did that and i feel proud. But that's me.
Harddd
sometimes i wish viewers would have the money to do all that since they got already the ideas for it
Let’s hope Netflix doesn’t disappoint .
have you tried reading the graphic novels? they released I think 5 novels covering some of their adventures after the show ended!
Same!
I cried so much listening to this. Everyday, I listen to this, but I have never been able to listen to this without crying. The Avatar series truly was the best.

Watching the series takes you to a whole different place, man. I feel like im riding appa, or just laying in the grass and hear the ocean crashing to the rocks or in a campfire eating berries with the squad. It makes me feel like im *in* their world and if a show can have that impact to you, its definitely worth loving.
You forgot the part where you feel like you can bend and glide with aang.

It’s an amazing feeling when a show can take your imagination on amazing journeys that it feels so real. 💕💕💕
someday when i have a family, i am going to make my kids watch the series.

yeh, I get where you are coming from, but as long as kids have access to these kinds of moral teachings I'm happy for a reboot
damn it! I thought i was done with the post avatar depression but this soundtrack hits me with the feels every time
OMG I thought I was the only one with that so true
i still have post avatar depression i cry every time i hear the song "change" from Korra. it breaks my spirit i wont get to see more of the characters because they became apart of my heart.
i thought i was the first to have that and thought i was crazy but i feel depressed too
Yeah I feel you bro
Even though ATLA was written better than TLOK, both still managed to compose fantastic and unique music.
Amen to that.
lazywagon from my perspective Atla was made in 2008?(don't remember) the writers want to tell us about friendship, kindness, caring and responsibilities.Since we are very young that time we need these kind of things for our pre-teenage life.
The thing what i like the most about The Last Airbender is
Zaheer wanted Freedom
Amon wanted equality
Unalaq wanted Balance
Kuvira wanted Unity
And Ozai wanted everyone to be on fire :")
Atla is soooo much better than lok my friend
eviad vs ATLA is 1000000008662927252)27€.!.!:992€;!,!/&92:?:! Times better than Legend of korra
now as you wrote that, it makes me realize that Zaheer and all those people are a lot alike the Templars from Assassin's creed. They weren't necessarily evil (except for ozai, he was mad with power), just the way they chose to fight for their somewhat honorable causes is controversial and cruel.
LOVED THE LAST ONE HAHAHA
Zaheer would be the opposite of the Templars in fact, he would be an assassin, Templars wanted order and piece above freedom, the assassins want freedom
4:20 when Azula attempted to hit Katara with lightning and Zuko saved her. Damn I remember it so well I can't take this 😭😭😭😭😭
Avatar (especially ATLA, but Korra as well) is just amazing in so many ways.
It's like an Asian-themed X-Men.
Did Aang kill people? I can't remember it very well but i as far as i know he didn't want to kill anyone and didn't do it either
S Orihara I think he may have drowned a few fire nation soldiers in the finale of season 1. But then again, he wasn’t in complete control of himself at the time since he was in the avatar state and was fused with the ocean spirit. I could be wrong tho.

Nickelodeon doesnt promote avatar enough. They birrily had enough for the legend of korra. They hate the seriøs for some reason..

no korra has 4 seasons

If Mike and Bryan were to make another avatar series. We would have to wait 5-10 more years to have another avatar because i think they're busy with their own projects.
Korra is cool, but Aang will always be the better Avatar and the better series
Uliana Buslovska yes and that's what I don't like about her.. She was always the super strong avatar, who could use three of the elements as a small kid is able to go into the avatar state so easily. Next to her aang looks like a weak looser...
Aang actually worked hard for what he can do, but korra...
I love the both of them. Both their stories were so different and I just loved how opposite of each other they were. We had Aang going from a human to a divine being whereas we had Korra going from a divine being to a human. One was a epic hero's journey whereas the other was the complete opposite.
Aang had the best avatar states
I am just so grateful that Legend of Korra was as good as It was. I remember when I first heard they were making the new series and thinking "oh no - they will never top Last Airbender". And while they didn't top it, it definitely did not disappoint. Both series are some of the best storytelling of our time.
21:05-24:00 I test up every time because that's it! That's the end. No more Avatar. That was the perfect blend of ATLA and LOK for the final episode. Thank goodness Jeremy Zuckerman and the original writers are going this Netflix adaptation with no end date.

That's true.

Last Agni Kai is so damn epic!
