Dude thanks so much for the shout out! Fastest install ever! I expected them to slow down and walk through it step by step, but they just busted it out. haha
Super fast - super knowledgeable. You have an awesome staff... Nick and Matt chimed in on some good points though. Stuff I have never seen on another install. Thank you again for letting me do it.
Picking up my Feel free lure 11.5 tomorrow. Bought the rudder and anchor system, but have to do install myself. Thanks for the video. Gives me a better idea of what I'll need to do.
So there are some great videos on the rudder install. Sorry that this was not more of a tutorial video; it is pretty easy; I had purchased my kayak from Headwaters over a year ago and I really wanted it done quickly; I knew that they were the experts and I didnt have the time.. I've done enough mods myself.. wanted to be hands off on this one.
Yankee Tanker Outdoors I'm a long way from there. Indiana. I'm pretty confident I'll get it right. I'll look into more videos though. Thanks for the quick reply!
Where can I go now in NorCal now that headwaters closed up? I just bought a lure 11.5 and getting a beaver tail in a couple days. But the place told me to install it myself..
Headwaters will be open again - not sure on the date but someone did buy it.. And who told you just to do it yourself? I am not fully sure on who else sells em.. Kayak City?
I will neither admit or deny your comment of who would tell me to install myself. =] I can wait until headwaters opens up again to have it properly installed. Thanks for lettting me know. I ran into Dan yesterday but he didn’t mention anything about that.
let us know how much of a difference it makes. just bought my lure a couple months ago from Headwaters and the staff was top notch....always telling people out on the water about Headwaters best in the area for sure.
I will hopefully get out this week. I know that it will help specifically drifting on the Delta. Headwaters is the best I have ever been in - Dan knows more about paddling sports that anyone I have ever encountered. And that spans all 5 states and 20+ years of paddling that I have lived and lived in.
I live in Northern CA, so the Delta alot and most of the larger lakes up here. The weather has been so bad and the flows of the river are insane so it has been a tough start to the year; more fishing will come once things settle down...

@@analogpro7 it's not dan's shop anymore from what I understand... so he shouldnt care..
How is the toe control steering, do you like it? I am thinking of installing this on my kayak along with the bixpy motor with the rudder attachment.
This video is very old - I no longer own this kayak.. but it is worth it
@@YankeeTankerOutdoors I figured lol

Definitely!!
What if you want to put a power pole mini anchor? U know the peddle drive is out already.
I heard it’s out. Saw some cryptic video. I’m sure you can put a power pole in. You won’t be able to have a rudder though as well.
