I'm having a problem with my rudder controller. The 8 ball handle, the knob at the front is supposed to allow you to move the handle to the position Desired without moving the cables. However, that's not the case, any advice.

any idea on how to replace the portside rudder cable line? I contacted Austin Kayak and they said COVID problems with getting warranty products in. IMO I just need a new line which I could probably get from Home Depot. How to run the line is questionable. i asked them for a video but still 1 month and waiting.
Unfortunately Austin kayak is not the only company having trouble getting warranty products, even local companies are having the same issues. As far as running the cable port side, I have an idea on how to do it easier and am currently working on a video so I can put out for the Big Fish community. In the mean time I would refer to this video: ua-cam.com/video/hnrjOSGOMOs/v-deo.html They use a copper wire to run the able from the beaver tail to the either their steering control or foot controls. @@ProjectReel Do you think the Dorado seat will fit on this Kayak ? It seems to be a better seat..... I really like the swivel feature on the pelican 100. .......
@@kimroberson8376 I like it also. I heard in the rumor mill your able to adapt the back of the dorado seat to the big fish. I’m going to do some research on that.
This rudder system is garbage, I have had to have it fixed twice and ultimately it was replaced. 8-ball system is a bust!

Thank you man. My rudder was tight like that from the factory the heat and the pliers spacing the plastic worked perfectly.
