Actually, I got it to help lose weight without added knee stress and have been mainly focused on paddling different spots from creeks, lakes and the ocean. Did not stand up yet because i had no desire to but it feels stable by the two hull pontoon design.
I don't have the exact list for sizes at the moment because my receipts are all over the place. Below should help get you started. But he is using it as a skeg, and having just bought the Catch 100 myself, it needs it. I think this is better than putting a skeg on the bottom. I want to do something similar, but I don't want to drill
Just finished putting one on my catch 120. Game changer.
Just did this mod to my Pelican Catch 100 classic and the difference is amazing. She be steady now.
Installed one on my catch 100, what a diffetence!!
So much more stability, as well as tracking.
Thanks again for inspiration
Looks way better! Well done. This is the only thing I want to add, much needed improvement.
This skeg does correct tracking on catch 100.
Thanks for this video.
I have been really trying to find a way to keep it from turning all the time. Thanks for your video it works well.
Nicely done! Thank you for sharing the info.
Thanks, much needed with catch 100
Nice job!
Used your idea it worked out well. Thank you
Glad it worked!
Papatechie, You are right the Pelican Catch 100 needs to have a skeg. Can you tell me the dimension size of the block you made out the cutting board?
That's probably what i'll do, put a rudder on. i'm going to wait for the c-100 pedal so it will come with it's own rudder.
That’s awesome I just bought the same kayak and it did not want to stay on track. What did that skag run u
Great idea Is there a way to mount on 2013 Pro Angler
Thx Cliff
Great job
Looks well thought out - good job! How has this held up after a year? Anything you'd change?
Still good but wil use heavier stainless trailer fender angle brackets next time
Nice!
Where did you find this?
My original skeg works slow / stiff
How is the stability for you? Respectfully ... you seem like a pretty big guy. Can you stand up in it on the water? Or does it feel tippy?

Do you have a list if hardware? What kind of bracket is that? I ha e a catch 100 and want to do the same. Awesome skeg!!

Weird question: but what’s with the pool noodles?
Ah yes... watch this video m.ua-cam.com/video/RPSqaOa8l0Q/v-deo.html
Why is there orange pool noodle inside the hull?
When ocean kayaking it will displace water should a disaster occur.
@@papatechie Does it help with stability?
@@OJA1965 pool noodles don't help with stability just water displacement if hill gets flooded
After 6 months have you done anything different with the skeg? From the video it didn't look like much of the skeg was submerged when you deployed it.
Haven't changed anything and it works great for me.
Its not a skeg.. Its a rudder
