  • A video of my hike of the first Midsummer Mortimer Trail ultra. I think I'll run it next year. It was a fantastic challenge, but 10 hours 40 minutes was a long time to be on my feet. Had a great time though. Andali Events did a fantastic job. Great organisation and they really took care of everyone out on the course.

I enjoyed watching this as it rekindled memories of my recent walk of the Trail, the Strava 3D flypast at the end is very useful showing just how long the route is. I have been describing walking this trail to friends and work colleagues but this video is way better than any description I can offer. Recommended +

@pneumant Many thanks. I wish I'd taken more videos, but progress was more important that day.

Aye up Dean, great little video. that. Wasn't that a blooming long day! we came in a fair bit after you by the looks, still nursing my blisters and toe nails! Good to meet you and well done on the hike, I've subscribed and will go back through your other stuff.
    All the best. Gordon

@ashropshirelad Hi Gordon! Thank you very much! Great to meet you the other day, your mortimer trail vids were a great help when I walked the trail for the first time a few years ago. Check out my Thames video. Blew up during Covid for some reason. I'm going to start walking the severn way in a week or so. Want to do a source to sea video for that two. Unfortunately sprained my ankle on the mortimer trail so had to cancel the Pennine Way. Backpacking would have been very painful! Take care, Dean.
