Check out some old vids of his. Look up parkour corner I think he has a vid or two called that. It’s Ds3 vids and they are golden. Chase is a good dude.
To the best of my knowledge there was only one instance where chase genuinely got pissed and salty, but it was justified cos his opponent did nothing but use underhanded tactics all match
3:58 that was insane, it's always fun watching you pvp and showcasing the hidden potential of weapons that most people didnt think about. Keep up the good work.
One thing I really wish this weapon had was a unique power stance with the Reduvia, similar to the Wakizashi and other Katanas. The blood priests who used this had neat attacks and I wanna use em.
bruh i read your comment wrong and I thought you were saying that it does have a unique power stance and got so excited, unique power stances are something elden ring really needs imo, things like the reduvia helice like you said, or the cleanrot spear/rapier/scythe
That's because this is NOT powerstance. It's just regular duel wielding. Powerstance, from Ds2 has a lot of uses, you need to go back and see what true PS looks like
Also, for anyone wondering, (I haven't finished the video yet) the Ash of War on the Helice is an almost perfect counter to Rivers Of Blood. Proper spacing leads to a guaranteed Corpse Piler punish.
@@TheKripox from my time playing with it, both. Spacing is key which you can pull off in different ways. Get the weapons and just mess with it alone. You'll find your own feel for it.
If something requires you to have more skill than the other opponent, it's not a counter, it's just playing the game normally. Glintstone pebble WA is the only actual counter to Rivers.
My favourite weapon in the game. Nothing beats those anime evades into punish for massive damage through Spear Talisman and Shard of Alexander. The bleed is just a bonus.
This is probably my favourite weapon in Elden Ring, I love free aiming the weapon art to cover distance with s into the thrust. So much fun, thanks for showing it some love Chase!
I just wanted to put this here cause I haven't seen anyone mention it, but with the great thrusting weapons, if you press the roll button while charging a heavy, it does a retreating horizontal swipe, Which with a follow-up light does the running R1. this can be done in a similar fashion with other weapon classes such as the regular thrusting swords and I think the curved swords
This man is practically dancing now. So many weapons to choose from, it’s practically a toy box. Next somber weapon you got my vote on the Grafted Dragon. That little bad boy is fun as hell to use.
I would like to see dual wielded Warhawk talons. They have a cool R2 that has surprising reach. I mix up the art of war a lot on them, but one of my favorite weapons to powerstance
Another fun thing about this weapon. When you have a war cry buff on your character, then 2 two hand Bloody Helice, the R2 will perform a totally different move set, and it is VERY STRONG. I would love to see you use that in your future videos :)
I love Dynast's Finesse. I'm a sucker for skills that feel super smooth and fancy like it. It's so intoxicating to perfectly space and i-frame an attack with it, and then land the counter poke.
Okay, before even watching i have some things to say. Thank you for doing this weapon. It rewards reverse backsteps and unlocked play so well that the skill ceiling is limitless. Running r2 roll catches better with running r1 and back and forth based on how your enemy responds, their is no one for all roll catch like halberd. Pairing this with a dagger of any type will make you untouchable. If you can roll into a ugs user you can always get 1 dagger slash in in between their hits and punish with helice if they roll out and single slash if they roll in . The only downside is hyper aggressive players who attack you out of your l2. You either need distance or well angled finesses to properly use the aow.
Right about perfect, everything i wanna watch when i go on UA-cam. Even if I can’t play ER lately because of my illness I still love watching these videos, good vibes, fun fights and mad respects (as well as some crazy builds) You’re doing it right brother !
I love this weapon... spent most of the game in pve with it, except bosses that really need high dps to take down ( Malenia ), and pvp-ed the most with it. To me it goes great with parry shield/repeating crossbow/incantation thing in left hand. You feign a miss and then fire off few shots from crossbow, or you cast incantation as a distraction like a bunch of that small stones or those flies to get enemy to concentrate on that and then you hit them with running r2. Jump attack is also really great, got many guys with it. And got many bhs spammers with running r2. :D
I ended up using a duel heavy thrusting swords for Malenia. Frost Godskin on one hand and this in the other hand. The idea was to get bleed and slow her with frost. It worked very well in the 1st phase with power stance L1 spam and I ended up cheesing the 2nd phase with two full moon spells at the beginning than hitting with a 3rd later. I was playing a Quality/Int build with most dumped into Int.
Chase! I would love to see you use the Dragon Halberd! Very underrated and underused weapon. I slept on it my first playthrough, but now it's easily one of my favorites.
Hey CTB, I watch your invasion stream vids a lot and you have taught me so much from trying new ashes of wars and better PVP techniques so I thank you for your content and I look forward to all of your new uploads. I was excited to see you do a showcase for one of my favorite weapons. Awesome video!!
If you enjoy Elden Ring, give Dark Souls 1 and 3 a try, or at least 3. Different vibes, but the bosses are a bit more consistently good than Elden Ring.
Been lovin' the rapid Showcase uploads, they're some of my favorite content from ya! Do you record back-to-back sessions with different weapons and if so how long are the sessions usually?
I'd like to see some meteorite blade, Lost seems to think it's pretty good and the weapon art into R2 is an interesting combo. And it would be cool to see a katana that isn't rivers or moonveil
Using the ash of war without locking on to then reverse and stab someone is so satisfying to see. Makes me want to get my bloody helice out and duel as well man.
I think the jumping R1 to R1 combo only works if you two hand it. Been invading with dual heavy thrusting swords (one godskin sticher one bloody helice) and it doesn’t combo for me. Great video as always! Been looking forward to this series
I'm so hyped you're doing these weapon showcases for Elden Ring, I adored the showcases back in DS3 and with how many unique weapons are in this game it's nice to see the variety in each episode. Personally though I'm hoping you eventually do the Flamberge, not the most flashy of weapons and it doesn't have it's ridiculous damage from the WA in DS3, but it's so fun to watch people use on a bleed build with Seppuku. Keep up the great content!
I love the thrusting weapons! You should use the feint mechanics more often by canceling a heavy startup with a backwards roll input and followup - really useful for baiting attackers and keeping distance. Also you should check out the Dragon King's Cragblade from Placidusax's remembrance, also a heavy thrusting sword. Its Art of War is an awesome variable timed lunge attack.
I'd be mad about this being a bleed build but it's a weapon I've never seen used in pvp personally so gg. Glad to see unique bleed builds where bleed is more of a bonus instead of the entire build
Man, I love the heavy thrusting swords in this game. My favorite is the Godskin Stitcher because it looks baller as hell, but the Epee is really fun, too and now you've made me want to roll an arcane character just to use this bad boy! Good fights!
I like watching your videos because you’re just so chill about everything. Somehow you’re able to sound like you’re playing Super Mario while actually playing the hardest game I’ve ever played
I'm always intimidated by PVP because of all the creative builds that people make. I don't have the experience for that. But watching Chase is inspirational cuz he shows that all you need to start is to choose some good charms and just one weapon!
I don't do pvp but I really enjoy your videos. It's so refreshing to see someone who isn't a complete butt. Your are polite, complimentary and well mannered. A joy to watch. Plus I really like the explanations you give during your narrations.
Love the vid chace, I was hoping you’d showcase this weapon sooner or later. Will say sometimes it’s really good to free aim and you can use it to dodge towards your enemy and lunge with the heavy can really catch them off guard and will say.. I might be wrong but from experience you can dodge two rivers if blood flurries fdom the corps piler and almost always get a punish with the heavy thrust, great content been subbed to you for years, keep making great content! 🙏
Great video, I love these weapon showcases. Just a note on arcane scaling, arcane only boosts bleed if the weapon scales with arcane. It works for this weapon, but if you put something like keen or heavy on a katana, the bleed factor does not go up
Really pretty moveset. And definitely has a nice Weapon Skill, it's just that it's tough to pick this over Bloodhound Step. Hope they get around to nerfing BHS soon, it's really not doing this game any favors.
Great video. How do people make builds fast for PVP? Are you just respec-ing the same build using larval tears, or is there a method (which probably involves rune farming) to get new builds fast?
Dragonking’s Cragblade would be cool. Poke to L2 tap, while not guaranteed, roll catches a lot. The tap vs hold feature gives the AoW a high skill cap. People get surprised by how long you can stay aloft and just how far you can travel. You even have solid hyper armor in flight.
This and the stitcher are so good in invasions for their chase down capabilities. One thing I like to do is bait a chase after me then 180 with the R2 it covers so much ground you tell how shocked they are after being stopped dead in there tracks. Also there's just something about breaking a shield users gaurd for the riposte with a heavy thrusting weapon that is a different kinda satisfying.
13:40 Duuude I think Pyra was doing a cosplay of Pyra Myst from the old Genesis game Shining in the Darkness! Her best weapons are whips and her first attack spell is Blaze so yeah, I haven't seen anyone else ever do someone from that game before!
Great video as always. It seems Arcane has a few amazing weapons. I've been having a lot of success with the magma curved sword dual wielded. The scaling is great for strength/faith, and the actual sword slash of its Ash of War is SUPER damaging/quick. For me so far it trades into attacks much more successfully than Flaming Strike despite only being a curved sword.
I would also recommend the axe talisman cause the follow up after "Dynast finesse" counted as a charge/heavy attack and you also do a lot of running heavy attack with this, the damage is pretty noticeable too
They are very few who could call themselves professional a Souls Player, and Chase is one of them. It always blows me away that he can switch his gear midfight. That is memorization and reaction time that is way beyond me
Tracking on the ash thrust is almost pinpoint when locked on, but if you are unlocked during the thrust and free aim it, it catches them far more often, and can be redirected to increase range
The bloody helice is my favorite weapon. It does amazing damage but does consume lots of stamina so use it wisely. It does great bleed damage and is super fun to use. It's amazing for dueling and finishing opponents quickly.
This series informed me about all the “secret” weapons in DS3 that I never knew existed. Excited about this new season, if that’s what you wanna call it, for the same reason.
How did you go backwards with the follow up to the initial dodge? I’d love to know! Also love the videos, they are so amazing and I love your attitude toward the game it is so positive and it’s great, keep it up bro!!
Chase, you seem to have broken the 61 poise threshold with a low weight, can we please get your armor pieces? Edit: showed at 2:20. Melania head, scaled body, veterans hands, bull feet. Thanks, everyone.
He‘s got Malenia‘s helmet, Scaled Armour and Bull-Goat Greaves equipped. The braces I’m not sure about, the Banished Knight Gauntlets and Veteran’s Gauntlets look nigh identical, could be any one of those.
you can actually optimize much further then my weight load. malenia helm is not the most poise efficient. If your looking for easy poise with low weight load go with pieces of the veterans armor and work around that. I am wearing the malenia helm, scaled armor, veteran gauntlets and bull goat greaves
Elena's polearm is on of my favorite weapons. Used it for most of my first play though. Don't see it very often. Ash of war does a ton of poise damage on enemies.
I rock dual Bandits Blood Curved Swords +24 with seppuku on both. Because +25 is kinda cancer to get, I'm only on NG+ and I also wear the White Mask to buff bleeding damage. Does extremely well in PVP and PVE. Claw talisman, Green Turtle Talisman, Winged Sword Insignia, and the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom are the best Talismans I have right now unfortunately. Anyway. Like the video!
Now this weapon was done right. It's amazingly cool without being completely broken. Fun fact, can also be useful as a counter to mindless RoB and Moonveil spammers.
CHASE MY BRO!!!!! I love you man. I can watch you for days smashing bros online. Your videos are entertaining and you do cool stuff in every one of them. Thanks for the good times.

Looks like you-know-who’s helm, scaled body & gauntlets, and bull goat greaves.
He‘s got Malenia‘s helmet, Scaled Armour and Bull-Goat Greaves equipped. The braces I’m not sure about, the Banished Knight Gauntlets and Veteran’s Gauntlets look nigh identical, could be any one of those.
@@Tom-jl8cm it's veterans, finally got the pause timed right.
you can actually optimize much further then my weight load. malenia helm is not the most poise efficient. If your looking for easy poise with low weight load go with pieces of the veterans armor and work around that. I am wearing the malenia helm, scaled armor, veteran gauntlets and bull goat greaves
@@ChaseTheBro thanks
Elena's polearm is on of my favorite weapons. Used it for most of my first play though. Don't see it very often. Ash of war does a ton of poise damage on enemies.
this weapon looks like a lot of fun. I hadn't seen its ash of war before. love the series.
A weapon I recommend trying is the flamberge, occult using the double strike ash of war.
Bloody helice is soo much fun to use. Thanks for the weapon showcase!
The best!! Amazing fights!! GG Chase and everyone who fought against him
Looking forward to a Cypher Pata showcase. It's such a goofy-looking weapon. I love it.
CHASE MY BRO!!!!! I love you man. I can watch you for days smashing bros online. Your videos are entertaining and you do cool stuff in every one of them. Thanks for the good times.
Good stuff! Been wanting to see how this performs. Can't wait for Family Heads
Wish you’d live stream the duels you use for the showcases. Your streams are always such a chill environment. 💯
I really like the halo scythe in general, a lot of the spears and halbeards are fun
