There are hundreds of designers out there now but you have good, practical advice that makes sense. We just moved to a smaller space and you are helping me make it a home.

Thank you for another wonderful, informative video. I especially like your concise advices, further underpinned by visual examples.
I live in a 65sqm flat, and through the years learnt to shun overhead lighting with the exception of the dinningroom, bathroom, and kitchen areas. This creates opportunity for manipulating our perception of space; leaving parts in partial shadow tricks the eye into believing the room is larger (it may sound contrary, however it truly works).
Another thing is thinking outside the box when it comes to furniture functions.

Here in Germany, we have as a standard specially in big cities studio apartments with a size of ca. 30 m² including of balcony and bath and entrance hall ... I have doing most of all advices intuitively; so I am very glad that you have cofirmed those ideas which I had to do simply because of lack of the space.

Having done the curtain closet door before, I hated it very quickly. It creates visual fatigue that just won't stop.

I put a wetmop swiffer cloth on my swiffer vaccumme. That way I don't even need a mop. The one with open windows scent is lovely.

I have a rectangular fairly narrow space. I’m getting ready to a full remodel. My room has 6 windows currently at one end and two doors on one wall. I recently hired a designer but plans did not fit space. Starting over. Can you do a video on designing a kitchen with obstacles not able to change?

How do I choose between an entryway table or a bench for a very small 32" section of wall in the entryway? The 8' X 10' entry is not terribly small but a double-door coat closet takes up most of my only wall space. Our home is open concept and the entry is exposed to the dining area and the great room. To make things more challenging, the light switch is on that 32" section of wall that I need to decorate. If I could send a photo, I would. I don't believe I can via UA-cam comments. Thx for any feedback!

Hi can you do a segment on accent chairs having a small space I have a one sofa living room that opens to dining only 2 people can fit on a couch. Most accent chairs are just that accent lol. I need comfy accent chairs for family and guest for convo and while watching TV. Problem most comfy chairs are big and bulky to big for my small condo size living/dining room combo. Any suggestions would be great.

Just found your channel and it's so helpful and comprehensive! Thank you for your effort! I'd looooove a video about toilet designs.
Not bathroom, but specifically teeny tiny guest bathroom types of spaces with nothing else but a tiny sink and a toilet. Bathroom stalls in restaurants and hotels are often so well designed, with dark colors, natural materials and a lot of character. Though the only thing I usually hear as advice is "use white on everything so it looks bigger"? I think that's futile on less than two square meters (10-15 square feet). I want my toilet to have lots more character, because where else to explore and go crazy than in this tiny space that doesn't matter that much to the overall vibe of your house?

Use wallpaper to cover all walls and ceiling. It is BEAUTIFUL. But you have to find the RIGHT wallpaper. They have some very good wallpaper out now. It's back in style. Even have good QUALITY to them. And yes you can use wallpaper in a bathroom.

Found the answer. It's from Lampe Gras (thanks Alvhem Mäkleri & Interiör); see Pottery Barn Leighton Adjustable Wall Sconce for less pricey - although not black - version.

Hello. I have a lounge that has two parallel walls that are long and two short, opposite each other. A balcony and large window is the opposite wall as you walk into the space. Which is a short entry and window wall. I'd. Love to paint my walls a dark grey. One of the long walls has an office doorway near the balcony door. Should I do the entire room or specific walls? And what type of dark grey? And the best complimentary colours if I should only do specific walls? And which walls would be best to paint the dark grey? And should I use the same colours in the office, and which walls to help compliment each other. Thank you in advance!

I want to freshen my living room. I want to make it fresh, airy and warm at the same time 😅. Thinking of a white colour with grey tint. I also want to try something usual which I have not seen it anywhere. I want to create a coving with led light and I want to hang my curtains on the ceiling behind the coving
So the led lighting will between the curtain and coving. I hope it makes sense. Would this work?
