As a newcomer to dual sport riding, having owned a KLR650 since 2009, I've never experienced roads/trails like this until I shared my first ride with my son and his 3 brother in laws on my 71st Birthday in late April. I do realize the KLR is definetly not a dual sport, though I have taken it on some very rocky roads in the past, it's simply too top heavy and ponderous to even consider roads like you're riding. But, my new 2024 KLX300 has really instilled confidence in developing my skills for riding exactly the kind of roads you are riding, and I can't wait to share this section with my buddy on his XXT250 and others on their dual sports. Really enjoyed your POV in this video!
We did all four sections back in May and it was amazing. We trailered our bikes from Michigan to Erie PA and rode the Cross PA Trail to the BDR and then back to Erie. It was an amazing week. Highly recommend if you can hit this BDR.

Awesome. I need to get up to Michigan for some riding.
Riding from Michigan to a cabin my group picked a ways from Dubois between section 3 and 4. Going end of next month! Excited! Where in Mi are you?

I dig it, man.
What tires are you guys running??
Was all of this on section 4 or did you guys add additional tracks? Looking to do this in May this year and love the look of the rougher tracks.
All section 4. We did the included harder alt sections when available.
Going end of May with a small group.
