J.J. McCullough i would say sometimes it seems he is going too hard for jokes in the videos and all that while you don’t do too many jokes which I prefer
By the time you get to "Z", you'll have to go back and start again from "A" with all of the new leaders. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature for the series :P
I love the last point you made, an ex-girlfriend of mine family was from Iraq, and some of the stories they had were just horrible. I always have loved my country and respected the people that have fought for it, but after dating her and meeting her family, i REALLY am so thankful i get to live in a free, stable, democratic, independent nation!!!
But you need to remember is that many of these countries are in these situations because of the West. Many African countries are still heavily influenced by their former colonial masters, and the French especially have a tendency to orchestrate coups against leaders they don't like. The US helped countless dictators come to and stay in power over the years in Central & South America, Africa, and the Middle East.
Summarize brazilian politics is a challenge, well done, JJ! Another curiosities about Temer: despite his political career, his is also a lawyer. Because of it, he likes to use scentences in latin in his speeches and letters (there's a famous episode in Brazil before the impeachment, when he broke up with Dilma Rousseff, he wrote a letter to her saying he was leaving her government that begun with many latin expressions). He also has a poetry book published (but his poems are lame).
The irony of Brunei implementing sharia law is that it’s well documented that the sultan as a young man lived a life of opulence and partied quite regularly in Singapore and Bangkok, often appearing at military parades with a peaked cap and very dark sunglasses to hide his hangover. Meanwhile alcohol is totally forbidden in Brunei
It happened in the past but the Sultan now is a changed man. Most people of Brunei revered the Sultan and they live here in peace. Majority of people do support the implementation of Sharia law and some opposed. However, after it was implemented most Bruneians still carry on with their lives as usual.
Aviation lord well with free healthcare and education, top 10 highest GDP per capita,0 debt with very low crime rate and road quality is almost same as other western nation also with very low road accidents Bruneian very much do not care about their king action
very well put message at the end there JJ, think its good to just remind ourselves sometimes of our own situation with reference to some of the more far flung parts of the world that we may not come into contact with often,
Brilliant Video as always 👌🏻 love the series dude, always interesting to learn about other countries and their leadership, especially the smaller, more obscure ones 👍🏻
Juan Martinez I don't really know where it comes from, but I guess Brazilian fans of artists (like musicians, singers, pop stars, et cetera), being somewhat patriotic and not wanting to go all the way to Murica or whatever to see their idol can often be seen in comments of music videos saying: 'Person X, come to Brazil'.
As a Brazilian I wouldn't consider the Presidents Party (PMDB) a conservative party (unless you are talking about a very moderate fiscal conservatism), the only ideology of that party is to stay on power as long as it can, they are part of the Government since the end of the military dictatorship (including the more right wing FHC and the very left wing Lula), they also don't have a good historic on supporting social and political conservative positions, they were very pro gun control in the 2005 referendum for example.
Your extreme mispronunciations of foreign names continue to amuse me to no end. Literally laughed hard at the attempt at the Brunei sultan's name. :D Keep up the unintentional comedy.
This is actually very interesting. I often look up random countries parliaments and see what parties are strong. You sum up these leaders very well imo. Very entertaining :)
Speaking of 'ambitious,' this could be an idea for a new (sorely needed) website - devoted to quick summaries of the leaders of each country for an international audience. I'm personally trying to start a site devoted to an overview of each country's main political parties and their quick histories. Might as well get in there & stake one's claim to the topic! :D
East Timor wasn't leaving Portugal at the time mentioned in the Cape Verde segment. They were leaving Indonesia's decades long occupation after they became independent from Portugal in 1975.
1) Portuguese left East Timor in 1975 after which Indonesia invaded and occupied it until 1999 when the UN took over. And in 2002 it was recognized by the UN as an independent state. 2) CamEroon Other than that, it was interesting. Keep going, looking forward for the next ones.
Appreciate the bit at the end. Hearing about the corruption and lack of freedoms in other countries really puts things in perspective for those of us who live in first world democracies.
Thanks JJ! Learned a lot. Republique de l’Afrique Centrale is the name. I can’t wait for the Colombian leaders segment. The president elect starts his mandate on Aug 7th of this year. He is a dude basically placed into power by ex-president Alvaro Uribe Velez. Just like the current president, Juan Manuel Santos. This president elect’s name is Ivan Duque. His campaign was basically promoting Uribe as his back-up. Let’s just say Colombia is a democracy divided by the left and right but the right always wins and the winner is former president Uribe (as he was the one who fought against the guerrilla groups in Colombia to revenge the death of his father). Anyway, I am a Colombian living in Canada and you are right, being grateful for our current circumstances and the place we live in is important.
J J you are very smart! You know more about Brazil than a lot of Brazilians. Maybe it's the reason we have so many problems. Not because you know, of course, but because we know few things Brazil politics. Unfortunately. But I hope it has been changing recently. Gooooood Job J. J.!
You just roasted my country leader so hard, everyone I know (Even the most rebellious ones) aren't that critical of the Bruneian government. Goddamn it's good to hear
Philippines also have that Burkina Faso thing Overthrowing a dictator by its own cabinet member but those cabinet members not on the Presidential position
So countries can just ask the other countries not to use different names for them? Asking from Finland (which we call Suomi unlike everyone else apart form Estonia I believe, and they use Eesti and we call them Viro…).
Greatings from Bulgaria, our PM also was a bodyguard of Bulgarian Communist dictator Todor Zhivkov and we have a joke: The next PM will be some of Boyko's bodygards.
Basically geography now but leaders which I love
no its better
Yeah I don’t really like geography now’s humour nowadays
Harsh Bansal What is it like?
J.J. McCullough i would say sometimes it seems he is going too hard for jokes in the videos and all that while you don’t do too many jokes which I prefer
Harsh Bansal I don’t think I’m very good at jokes and I don’t want to be cringe. I think sometimes there’s humor just in trying to be honest.
By the time you get to "Z", you'll have to go back and start again from "A" with all of the new leaders. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature for the series :P
It means we won't have an end to the series, YAY
I wouldn't mind that, getting information about new leaders as they are elected.

That's impressive. It's hard to do a lame poem in Portuguese.
Felipe de Oliveira Mateu
How is Bolsonaro

Brunei Sultan: what is hipocrisy? Can I smoke it?
Actually I retract that comment, a better one would be:
Brunei's Sultan: what is good governance? Can I smoke it?
Well, absolute monarchs are above the law, he could even rewrite the quran to fit his needs.
It happened in the past but the Sultan now is a changed man. Most people of Brunei revered the Sultan and they live here in peace. Majority of people do support the implementation of Sharia law and some opposed. However, after it was implemented most Bruneians still carry on with their lives as usual.

This is just what I needed in the morning a good ole J.J. video!
very well put message at the end there JJ, think its good to just remind ourselves sometimes of our own situation with reference to some of the more far flung parts of the world that we may not come into contact with often,
Yes I think his last sentences were just adorable. JJ for President I say.
Brilliant Video as always 👌🏻 love the series dude, always interesting to learn about other countries and their leadership, especially the smaller, more obscure ones 👍🏻
J.J., come to Brazil
Kkkkkk
I don't get this joke,somebody please explain

I'm not famous enough (Anime mushroom breath thing)
well at least you have 50,000 subscribers and some change :)
I've been binging this series so far and I'm loving it. I really appreciate the point you made at the end. We need more grateful people like you.
But they're MORE conservative than whatever Dilma is, right?
J.J. McCullough
Yes they are, while PMDB is kinda of like a big tent party they are mostly more conservative than Dilma.
J.J. McCullough Dilma is left she’s from the workers party it’s like a communist party or socialist

Michel Temer also wrote a really weird poetry book
He stated that in the video

Keep'em going!
1) Portuguese left East Timor in 1975 after which Indonesia invaded and occupied it until 1999 when the UN took over. And in 2002 it was recognized by the UN as an independent state.
2) CamEroon
Other than that, it was interesting. Keep going, looking forward for the next ones.
J.J. come to Brazil! Hahaha but I love what you said in the end of your video! It's totally true. Thanks for these videos!
@JJ Thank you for your statement at the end of your video!
Yay! A J.J. video!!
Appreciate the bit at the end. Hearing about the corruption and lack of freedoms in other countries really puts things in perspective for those of us who live in first world democracies.
Awsome videos, plz update the list when you can...👍
Can't wait for my country!

9:31 Actually, Paul Biya has been leader since 1975. In fact, he was Prime Minister before 1982.
Nice I was worried you stopped this.
12:55: J.J. is a smart man and what he said was true and I will take his advice!
Oh my goodness this is well said

Will you please continue to do these, they are very interesting
Man, every time I watch one of your vids I'm jealous of that CIB EarthBound
“Back to the Future Part II-esque dystopia” - that's Hell Valley on a national level.
Thanks JJ! Learned a lot.

Surprisingly deep ending for a light hearted channel
How about some happy story of country rulers? Your putting a damper on your awesome videos! lol
We also call Boyko Borisov "bat' Boyko", which translates in something like "Big brother Boyko" XD
Let's get him 100k subs
Yes please!
@@JJMcCullough subbed
@@JJMcCullough How do you feel about 271k subs now?
J J you are very smart! You know more about Brazil than a lot of Brazilians. Maybe it's the reason we have so many problems. Not because you know, of course, but because we know few things Brazil politics. Unfortunately.
But I hope it has been changing recently.
Gooooood Job J. J.!
Yay it's back again
Cool bro
Love jj. To be that ball he bounces on. #woof
look at the bright side, you have content for the next 5 years probably, looking forward to norway
Brazilian here, and JJ is actually right haha and yeah, brazilian politics are messy.
Please, if you would, add in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan into your list as I would most certainly love to hear what you have to say about him. Thanks
You just roasted my country leader so hard, everyone I know (Even the most rebellious ones) aren't that critical of the Bruneian government. Goddamn it's good to hear
Philippines also have that Burkina Faso thing
Overthrowing a dictator by its own cabinet member but those cabinet members not on the Presidential position
You should’ve mentioned the Emperor of Central Africa way back in the late 70s, that was a pretty interesting thing I learned about the CAR.
man would you do a video of the political situation in Venezuela?
Ha. The voice cracked at the end when you read the remaining number of countries.
Though I may not 100% agree with you politically, I must say I love these videos.
Bless you JJ!!
"The Lord is good,a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him," Nahum 1:7
Love you brother!!
More please
Brilliant series JJ. Keep it going - though by the time you have reached Z (Zimbabwe of all places) you will have to start again!
"anyone who criticized him is thrown in prison"
Thailand: copycat
I hadn't watched a vid for a while and thought a few minutes ago "huh I wonder if there's a new world leaders video..."
i wonder if you gonna reach my country's leader episode before the next president election
Can you do the best anthems.
Burundis president just recently died of a heart attack
My grandfather passed out and I was so busy watching this video I didn't notice the ambulance and my sister crying. (He's fine)
So countries can just ask the other countries not to use different names for them? Asking from Finland (which we call Suomi unlike everyone else apart form Estonia I believe, and they use Eesti and we call them Viro…).
JJ come to Brazil :D
You should do a video on Every Monarch and which country's they are sovereign over
We better get an anthem joke for Djibouti
I wonder who's gonna get to Slovakia first JJ or Barbs from Geography Now?
I am waiting for my country leader (the prime minister of Thailand). I would like to hear what you’ll say about him...
Greatings from Bulgaria, our PM also was a bodyguard of Bulgarian Communist dictator Todor Zhivkov and we have a joke: The next PM will be some of Boyko's bodygards.
Is a part 4 coming soon, or have you regretted this project already? 😉
You wrote Botswanana in the description
2:02 The correct is President of the Chamber of Deputies (lower chamber of the Brazilian Congress)
Perfect analysis about Brazil! Missing part: There will be presidential elections later this year.
Can't wait until Madagascar
