  • I bought MY first tractor! We upgraded to a John Deere 6175R and also got a new Loftness snow blower for it, along with a new HLA 4500 snow pusher from Good Works Tractors. Dad also traded for a newer, larger John Deere skid loader, a 332G model. FBN Todd also helped me load some data (dayta?) and Anna did some attack training.

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Zack do they make battery tenders like the motorcycle type for tractors and trucks, farms have equipment that sits for weeks and battery is dead when you need it. Check for a sponsor on batteries and maintenance with chargers.

Thanks for the candid explanation of the business side of the farm. A retired factory worker here, that worked on a lot of big expensive equipment that the company owned. I am amazed at all the equipment your farm as well as other farms utilize to handle the crops. If I owned a tractor like the one you just bought, I would be driving it up and down the neighborhood street until my neighbors had me put in jail or committed. Keep up the good work.

If Jim says "Hi, camera!" am I supposed to say "Hi, screen"? For Pete's sake, Zach (or Beck), I really need to know...
Snow removal 'round here (Va) is mostly the sun. Although we will scrape when it gets really deep, like, more than 3 inches...
Nice tractor. We have a 6150M without DEF and a big blue thang with it. It ain't too bad to deal with, just watch the shelf life. Nobody locally stocks anything more than the small jugs, which aren't nearly as bad to deal with as I expected. Actually not bad at all.
You gave a good enough explanation of land & equipment ownership. Covered the basics.
    Good video again.

God has truly Blessed you, and I thank you for sharing what you do with the world I grew up in Houston s inner city and never saw things like this I now live in a small suburban town outside Houston (Crosby, TX) and there are many grass farms around w/lots of tractors ...its truly amazing and I'm learning so much.

I just stumbled upon this channel. I like it. My wife and I ....yeah kids too are on a 207 acre ranch. Only difference is we have a Doberman as our farm dog. Abby the Dobie, loves watching me work. She finds a nice shaded area, lays down and then proceeds to watch me break my back. Our little ranch is in TN, about 80 miles east of Nashville. Ana the dog looks to be quite similar to Abby.

Before every meal I don’t thank God. I thank farmers. Would love to have you on my channel and podcast!!

That’s ok, because us farmers are thanking God every single day.

Maybe now people will realize that we can go without celebrities and pro sports, but we can’t go without farmers. Like this is you want to be a farmer when u grow up to put food on the table.
