Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

@@MillennialFarmer I deeply apologize!! I have not had time to watch ALL your videos, working on it! LOVE your channel!
So... Cole stole your content....hmmmmmm. lol

@@MillennialFarmer does she ever answer?
"I see the snow hasn't removed itself yet." That's why I love watching you
Hey!! I can't believe I finally got to see a RECENT video!!!! All the videos I've been watching are at least a year old. Thanks for giving this old Texan some laughs. And yes, I enjoyed the montage!
snowmobile loading dock worked well ;)
Hey Derrick just watched your sled video....she's a runner
A guy really does love it when a couple of his favorite you tubers just mosey on up to the comments section together
When you two Gentlemen gonna upload that video of you guys working on Zacks Sled?
Well fancy seeing you here!
I love this One Zach, brings back memories, In 1986 in England we had really deep snow down South and we had just bought that summer a Ford 7710 Generation 2 with a Quickie front loader for our Custom work and when the snow came we ran it 24/7 for weeks and my Dad told me we made more money from snow clearing that winter than we had from the rest of the Year from that Tractor. One Night I was out in it clearing in a blizzard and I opened One of the doors to see what it was like and my hair froze solid in about 30 seconds ! Nice One x
We have only had a couple of snow storms in northern AZ this year and it hasn’t hung around very long. Another six inches and you are going to have fun times!
That's what she said. lol
We haven't got much snow here in Minnesota so far. Unusual winter..
HLA snow equipment is made near me in Listowel Ontario by Mennonites. Great equipment. They also make Horst wagons, MK Martin bladesand blowers. Top quality stuff. All my tractor and skidsteer attachments are by them. Totally satisfied.
We use to get a lot of snow like that in Southern Oregon. Now we hardly get any snow at all. So I'm jealous now because I miss having snow. 🤠
Cool! Something to watch while I finally sit down to eat today....at 2:28 in the afternoon.
Total sled envie Zach! I sold my MXZ 800 years ago, not enough snow back then here in West Michigan and nobody to ride with makes for dusty sleds! 😎👍
I use to ride in the Alpena area and around the camps in the UP when I was younger my mom's side of the family was from Alpena and hunted in the UP at my uncle and cousins friends places sold my sleds and got quads and side by sides when I made the move back to KS after buying a farm and salvage yard
That snow pusher is awesome!!!! But the way your truck looks good 👍 look even better if you put some aftermarket rims on it
You and the guys across the stress keep dropping us, starting to feel concussed
Farmers and ranchers work so hard.
I have seen some video of both of them and I agree with you 100000%
Moving snow with big equipment with a good heater is the only fun thing about snow 🙂
I like the that you have Snowmobiles. I have 2- Snowmobiles myself. I have been Snowmobiling for 45 years.
That “quick” hitch really seems to be saving you some time these days 😂😂
In England the snow would have melted by the time the quick hitch was sorted!,😂
Indeed. Its like the quick attach on the bucket just for the 3-point hitch. If i ever get a tractor with more than one attachment for the 3-point i will me get one of those!
Got a new truck this year and went with a snow pusher for the tractor loader instead of another snow plow. Wanted an HLA 3500 pusher but couldn't get one until Dec. Ended up with a Virnig V60 steel edge pusher w/backdrag made in MN. Weighs about 1600lbs. Finally got to use it a few times last week here in NE IL. New truck is a Ford F250 w/the Godzilla 7.3 gas engine.
Oh how much we love PTO’s
Said no one ever!
I love the dual PTOs on my magnums - no changing required!
We appreciate your vlogs and the time you and Becky take so we can be entertained. Thanks.
If you don’t get a montage then your “SOL”, missed you Zac🤣
Sons of liches ?
Zach it’s actually easier to clear snow at night because you have better depth perception, as the glare off the snow isn’t so bright I’ve found.
I wonder if he forget to reveal his new truck lol
IKKK i'm a big truck guy and i want him to talk about it
And its not red either.
You hid my key fob Becky
@@goodrichfarms8795 that was a Good podcast!
Same
It is nice to see use a tractor to move snow as around here we don't usually get enough to us anything except for a broom or shovel. Thanks for the Video of the trip to the Sugar Factory and I learned something new, and to see why they burn the fields to make sugar sweeter. Nice to see that you took your son with You. Thanks for sharing!
Hope you're having a great week so far.
Zach - try a scrap of tubing (i use fire hose) on the pins for your trailer gate. Kills the rattle, lets you hear the rattles in the truck better :)
That snow and them snowmobiles are making me jealous. There aint enough snow down here in Southern mn to ride the trails
Ywa bout time. What town you from
You are just like me if you have the toys you need to use them ! I just put together a new plow for my JD. have fun! Your son should be doing this.
Kind of glad to see someone else has to do 50 things before you can do the thing you originally set out to do. Misery loves company, I guess.😁
Ain't that the truth.
It’s called procrastination.... lol
We like all the tidbits in the video you show us. short or long. It's easy on the eyes and ears.
Random question from out of the blue: How did your dad's grass turn out? I'll be doing the same thing this spring!
It came out arctic white. It's some strange new cultivar.....
I'm glad you asked I thought I was the only one weird enough to be loosing sleep over wanting to know how the grass turned out
Probably pretty good except the area soaked in hydraulic oil
This almost made me nostalgic for seeing and dealing with snow ... almost being the keyword. Interesting to see how much snow clearing has changed in the last few decades - along with standardization for couplers of loader attachments. I remember having to change between pallet forks and bucket on my grandfather's tractor with pin-on loader implements ..... miss him and the time together, but definitely not the task.
We still clear snow with a Farmall M a Ford 8N and a little bobcat with a 24 inch bucket no windows and an 18 hp Briggs engine it originally had a 16 but when it burped a rod we could get a new 18 for less than a 16 we use the JD 4240 the IH 7120 magnum an old Cat 12E grader and occasionally 1 of the rubber tire loaders for our drives and the older neighbors we rent from and ones who don't have equipment left but our in town jobs we pull the antiques out because we can load them all on 1 trailer park at the co-op and run around to all our jobs faster than driving the big tractors in and we can get almost all without shoveling much and the baby bobcat can clear sidewalks without getting in the grass
Love the new truck Zach although I’m a Ford fan that high county is looking nice.
Being a Southern guy and totally warm natured the snow in the northern areas would drive me crazy. When I was younger I volunteered to go to Vietnam in order not to go to Germany, I hate snow but you seem so happy in that cold stuff.
When are we going to see your new truck??
Ok I wasn’t the only one to that lol 😂
I’m guessing 3500 high country 6.6.
Yay I want to see it
Chevy, not really a truck!!
David D2 yeah looks like a 20 or 21 3500hd high country can’t tell if it’s the 6.6 gas to 6.6 duramax
This video helped a rough night 6 months since I lost great dane and I can always count on your videos to help
Anna the German Shepard is loyal to Zach she follows him everywhere love it
Well I'm glad that when you loaded your sled you didn't stuff the skies through the box. Have seen that happen. Those snow pushers are a real time saver. We have one on a 6420 and on a payloader.
2:00 MY MIND IS SCRAMBLED!!!
Those blowers sure look convenient to hook up and use when ya need em. Gotta love the green.
"Muuuum I got diesel on my GoPro" I like the reference, been waiting years for another
At least you have a sweet shop to work in! I’m usually laying on the frozen ground fixing shit!
Isn't that the truth. I'd look forward to repairing anything in some of these Farm shops I've seen on You Tube.
When you do the Zip ties burn out challenge call out, you should call out Andy from Farming Fixing and Fabricating as one of your call outs!!! And Randy!
Andy will burn it down haha
@@calebgleason846 Yeah he will! Him and the boys will all be doing together lol.
Makes me so glad I don't live where it does that anymore. This video is a good reminder and I understand there are people that work on these farms and in areas where you have to contend with weather like this. I never had quite that much snow removal equipment, but well remember plowing & snow blowing.
Country folk: GD snow removal
City folk at prospect of moving snow with a plow and giant snowblower: Yayyy, snow removal time!!
Texans: Ah it's just wet and rainy. Lol!
Use to run deere . Try a fendt 724 or 714 . Love that tractor. It will make hooking up equipment and switching equipment soooo much easier than a deere.
You can store all your settings per piece of equipment. Open quick hitch 3 point arms. And pto speed selection in cab also neutral pto . Just put small 1000 on all your equipment and a way you go. Have not missed my 7530 for a second
Ah, snow removal on uneven surfaces can be a bit of a chore.
I've been eyeing those *sectional pushers from Arctic,* they look neat.
There's this guy on UA-cam, goes by the name of Stanley "Dirtmonkey" Genadek, and he seems really happy about them.
I’ve used them before, and they’re very nice. Curbs, frozen piles of gravel and random things left under snow aren’t even a challenge
For me, the pinnacle of snow removal is a heated cab skidsteer, with a hydraulic adjustable snow plow. Set your plow angle, push one way, turn around and push back. No need to push, backup, then push again. The store I worked for had a big new CASE and a beat-up old plow. Loved it.
I've spent my time pushing snow with an open cab skidsteer with a bucket. Had to make multiple passes to get what falls out the side of the bucket, and stop frequently to warm my hands with the exhaust. Still beat a shovel though. lol
Deep thoughts, with Zach Handy.
Plowing Snow and Mowing Grass....is like a dream job for me!!💯💯👍👍😂🚜🚜
Watch your back on lifting that heavy 3 point hitch. Fun watching you push snow when I am in southern Texas.
Mooooommm!!!!!! Mnfr uploaded a video!!!
New truck looks sharp
Zack: makes a "loading dock"
Also Zack: cuts an entire episode of jumping snowmobiles off the "loading dock"
Greetings from Kyiv, Ukraine. Great video. Wonderful winter. Looked with pleasure.
Wish you success.
I get that this sounds weird, but I wish we got some snow out here, actual decent snow though, not the wet melting we get usually
It's good to see you have learnt how to properly pick up a bucket/attachment with a front loader.
With the way we were tossed around this episode I feel we deserve hazard pay. Lol 😂 Love watching your vids. Y’all are awesome!
100% need some hazard pay
Love the new truck! I'm writing this comment while in the plant it was produced at! UAW598 💪thanks for the business!
Show the new truck
Exactly wut i was thinking, did he just get that?
He did show it, it’s a 3500
@@grantfleming2629 I know the day he got it I was just wanting to see the whole thing because I’ve got one just like it but not duramax
@@TFT-bp8zk I don’t need to see anything
@@hudsonasche748 What video showed the day he got it?
I love watching snow removals that you make so entertaining!
Does this mean we get a meet your mom, since she has to clean your camera? Lol Have a great day!!!
I'm always amazed by the size of the equipment. Zac is a big guy, front tire of the tractor is up to his chest. Yes, he said front tire. Crazy.
You call that 'not much snow' here in the UK half of that brings everything to a massive halt because we incapable and inadequate of coping!
As much as a half, l've see less than that.......
In Canada we call that a light summer snow
In Seattle it paralyzes the city for weeks after it's all gone.
@@bbfpfs You actually get anything that sticks around longer than a few hours thats more than half an inch? So far this winter (Puyallup), all I have seen is snow fall, but nothing sticking around. Oh have seen some frost.
We wouldn’t even bother moving that
Now what you need is another pusher for the skidsteer so Onyx can help you out. Liking the new truck too. I hope it's a duramax!
1:15 Ouch! 👂 Sponsered by Lumax grease guns
I'm doing this so late because.... and that's when I hit the like button! Oh and he was just getting started.
“Well laddies, it snowed” love the doggies
You mean ladies
@@kirklothert3435ya that’s what I meant 😂😂
When the kids find the GoPro. Tour of NEW Truck. Also an update review of snow pusher and tractor. Likes/dislike etc
Lol I love it when Ana barked when you were starting the skid steer.
Why isn’t the Snow pusher and blower already hooked up and ready to go
I was watching you lift and saying to myself - steel tipped boots, steel tipped boots!
Holy crap Zach.....set that bad boy on a jack to re-attach. I felt my back straining watching ya. 🥴👍
I like how the ma I got grease on my camera is a homage to ma I got diesel on my GoPro
Dang wish we lived in Hansen because we have no snow here in Michigan thanks for all you guys do!!!!!!
Wisconsin sorry
Did you burn any tires off lately.
Zach, you ever thought of putting a V plow on a truck like a Boss plow? By the time you got done working with that 3 point and switching the pto around you'd have had most of the yard pushed by then. When I was a kid I use to help clean up the yard and once you get the hang of it can push up some big piles. And backup up and going forward you can go a lot faster than a tractor. Make sure to get the V though for a western type one that is straight has so much that spills over the edge.
“Well ladies”
Men everywhere- “I see how it is”
Wasn't he talking to the dogs? :)
Oh you right haha
Sweet snow moving montage!!! And bonus footage from the lost GoPro!!!
It worked! The snow removal montage put me to sleep.
Loved blowing snow. Leave in the morning, do all the neighbour's driveways. Only thing everyplace you went they usually brought out a shot of some kind of booze. End of the day you were pretty pickled. But that was in the 70s
There was a guy with a sore back named Jack who invented something that might help.
extend the arms and lower them..
The jack stand ;) ?
The snow blades do an incredible job! I live in western NY just outside Buffalo and the snow blades are extremely proficient!!!
That's a lot of work to push snow. You need a degelman blade on the front of one of your John Deere tractors.
Thanks for the video. Good job on snow removal. Nice equipment to do that. Winter time is here. Thanks Zach. Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Was that your new pick up truck when you were loading the snowmobiles
And all the warm weather since this was recorded means the yard is a muddy mess again.
I SUBSCRIBE and LIKE because farmers are the backbone of the world.
Does everyone in Minnesota wait til after it snow to prepare or is that just a millennial thing? 😂
yooper millennial here, I changed the oil in the snow blower in october.
@@rjcoady21 I do the same. Kinda backwards lol I change lawn mower etc... in the spring and winter stuff around when you do it. I do the truck oil as well haha
Same mindset in Michigan
Up until there's snow I usually want the tractor for other things so I wait until I need it! Plus, some winters I never need to do this!
At least the ground seems frozen👍
Wow all done hooking everything up, time to move snow OHH, ALL MELTED 😂
WHERES THE BURN FOR OLE PEGS BURN OUT CHALLENGE?!!!
The one thing I like about the guy who plays the millennial farmer is he always keeps the three essentials kenworth, chevy and John deere 🤙🤙😎
710K headed toward a mil Make a snowmobile and GUN vid. (now that would get views)
Awesome content. Yes the cornstar was second to the wedding crasher dialogue. Maaa need more Nitrogen in the shocks. Made meatloaf on the smoker last weekend, laughed every time I checked it.
I was thinking about becoming a farmer, but after watching this channel a while, I think I'll just stick with aerospace engineering. Farming is way too complicated.
It's more of a passion not really complicated you'll definitely make more money with your career choice I farm with my kids and we have a salvage yard mechanic shop and a fabrication/welding shop and building an auto body and collision repair shop because my youngest will be done with school for that in the spring if it wasn't for the other businesses we'd probably have had to give farming up because there's not a big profit in it
Like the new truck, high country package is were it's at. I got a 3500 myself, 19000 miles on it already.
Zach are you still doing the restore of your MM this winter?
I would rather see the MM working the snow instead of the Deere.
@@fisherh9111 Doesn't have the canvas heathouser ,still dammm cold open station!!
Here in Finland we really dont use that style of quick hitch, we use normal 3-point with quick "claws" on the lifting arms
The quik hitch its the problem, its a european tractor and in europe nobody uses a quik hitch....
Hi Zach, I see your technique here, take long enough to prepare the tractor and the snow will melt. Good plan.
Wouldn’t snow pushing be a perfect job for that rather young grain cart driver of yours?
Love it ! "Close, No Cigar" I use that saying often, even down here in Oz ! 😉
“It doesn’t bend anything and it goes back down.” Sounds like a Viagra commercial
That's what she said
