I have no idea what a Kenshi is, but I know unethical dinosaur punching bag facilities when I see them.

A long and sedentary life of repetitious torture and mental duress is far better than beak things deserve.
Ironically, it's also the fate of those who know what a Kenshi is. Don't try to save us. We chose this.

Beak Thing will also growth while getting beaten up, so the longer you kept them, the more xp you will get from beating them.

As of Mar 2022 this still works. Remember to save and immediately reload the same save to trap the beak things in the bed.
Only problem is if you don't gear down enough the beak things go into a coma fast and you don't gain exp until they wake up.
Unfortunately, there aren't any "safe" way to gear/stat down (applying gear or stat penalty) for Martial Arts other than cutting off all four limbs and replacing them with crappy Hiver prosthetics - not that I'm aware of at least.
For weapons is relatively "safe" since there are a bunch of "junk" and "rusted" variants of them scattered all around the game and NPCs often sell them.

Used to do this with “disarmed” skin bandits and skeleton repair beds, didn’t know gutters were ever an option.
Man and I built an emtire arena with cages and beds since most of the AI don't try to escape if you have a closed gate
This is just an amazing tipp for training. I had good fighters/squads before.. ,statwise in the 80s, melee and defense about 60s... but with this method, the stats go skyrocket! at 80-85 it takes long, and at 90 it is a pure pain, which is because i normally dont train further.. at least as long as the others are not in their 90s... what i wanted to say; in the actual playthrough, miy elite-squad has 90 dex, 90 strg, 90 toghness and melee is in the70-80s! And it went really fast there. Not to metion my 4 deathbringers that have the same stats, but with MA... Holy moly! Once Beep gave an opponent a deathblow for 600+ damagepoints. Absolute ridiculous! And great! They wip the floor with the so called "Five Invincibles" ... from which i have now 11 in my collection :D This method just rocks so hard..i love it. To train the "normal" way is of course fun and all, and i highly recommend you should do this with the first 4-6 charakters... but at some point, you have to do advanced training. And this si the way to go. Train your animals also... a crab with 88 strg and 90 dex... deals also blows over 300 (demands on the armour of course)

Note u could also train strength by being encumbered and carrying someone while training ur martial arts and dex

i tried doing this and mine immediatly switches it's goal to "sleeping" and i can t attack them.What am i doing wrong?
Quite an old comment so you prolly found a solution already. But regardless let me help.
I tried this method using paladins since i had a bad rep with them with that said, they're always hostile allowing me to just right click to attack, although this isn't the case for beak things because they're in a neutral-state until you get too close. Trapping them on beds will keep them passive.
A solution to this you just ought to hover your mouse over the beak thing, hold right click to open the context list, then select *Attack Unprovoked.*

U can use junk staffs for -8 indoors attack bonus , large backpack for combat bonus , and filled garru backpack for encumbrance, it goes craaazzzzyyy , and u also can keep the character hungy for some other negative modifiers, after some time u can play wih elder beaks
Samurai armor is a must
I usually do this with crippled skeletons on a repair bed
i did this with king gorillo. took me over 6 hours to beat him solo while i was resting with a bedroll in front of the acid lake. and then over 4 hours to go from 80 martial arts to 100

Depends it is a niche game. It has the same leveling mechanics as Morrowind, building elements like most survival games like the forest. It is also complex when you first play it since you can do so much it can be overhelming.

BTW: Who are you to tell how people have to play a singleplayer game ? You don`t like it ? Don`t use it!
The same goes for the prsioner recruitment mod.. i tried it, think it is a cool thing for itself, but way to overpowered. But someday i`ll do a playthrough where i will use it, to make me an army of force recruited. For rp purposes!
You have to become strong enough to hunt beakthings to do the training.
Irrelevant, people play as they want. Neither you or me can dictate what is the purpose of a game. I trained enough squads in enough playthroughs the "classic" way. To have another option to train is just a good thing.
And after you trained 5 chars or more the "classical" way, and have a base, the training becomes anyways "not as intended" for the next chars, because the trained squad will secure them.
What means the "purpose" anyway ? Running into the cannibal fields like psychopaths, getting smashed down and hope for the best ? You can do this!
The way i play is another. I always go for safety first. I am extremly careful, meaning i don`t do anything that puts my people in danger, as long as i am not sure i can win that thing. So, i can say, in the early stages of the game, when the first members of my fighting squad are trained: In not one single playthrough i had someone taken as slave, beaten nearly to death or other things that some other people experience.
Because, like i said, i`m careful.
There are so many ways to skyrocket your other stats, toughness for example.. and i think, that is what the hungry badnits in Skinner`s Roam were made for. To get this difficult stat high. You want to get beat for the next centuries ? Go for it and leave the bandits alone. I don`t think about abandon a technique that the game offers and helps me getting stronger.
And one more thing: When you have done this for 1-2-3 playthroughs, you will go back to the "classic" training, because at some point you want another experience...

This is meta-gaming, which is fine, and each to his own. But honestly, if you are going to meta-game like this, why not just install a training dummy/training clothing mod. I don't get the weird insistance on doing convoluted meta-gaming oversight-abusing setups like this in order to "play by the rules" that are effectively stretched beyond recognition when a mod is less gay.
why go through such effort when you can just make training dummies and exercise machines?
